  1. There used to be a way to damage them: it was called siege. But the blobbys didn't like that, so they nerfed siege damage into the ground and capped it to ensure blobbies could just completely ignore storms of arrows and rocks falling on them- now they tickle at best, and most boon blobs can go AFK under them and auto outheal any damage...
  2. Yes to this suggestion, will speed up the karma train as we all know trains have zero interest in defending anyway.

  5. First thing I checked was whether this was posted on April 1st..could it be that finally after so many years wvw will be slightly revamped. Next you will be telling me they will bring in a new map before 2027!
  6. Given the numbers of years that has passed since they first announced it, if they said 'Q1' it could well be 2025..or the first quarter of next decade... Once upon a time...
  7. It's all down to bad tagging mechanics and group. Some classes can breeze through tagging everything, whereas your group might not be efficient at tagging and hence end up bronze. You need to game the system as after ten years it's still basically broken.
  8. At this stage they should just remove all defence entirely including walls and just make it a cap spot that you stand on to take the objective, as it's become utterly pointless to defend anything now. it's clear the devs just play k-train boon blob.
  9. So the solution is to make it even easier to K-train and even more pointless to try and defend? It's high time they changed the whole system within wvw so that the more players a spell touches the stronger it gets to stop boon balling. All standing in one spot? Boom you're dead. Easily coded by adding damage per person the skill hits within a defined area: you can tweak the area so it's not too outrageous. But back to epic siege fights and defences: nope, now you can just charge in and not even bother with rams, just warclaw the gate down in seconds...meanwhile those brave defenders get zero reward so why bother?
  10. That would involve 1. there being a wvw dev and 2. actually doing work on maps for wvw, neither of which seems to have happened for the last 5 years.
  11. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Why would Anet care about you or your '50+ years of gw experience (moaning)'. Do you think you're special? It's not hard to counter (just swop away from copy/paster 'meta' build) and the more of them you face the more effective the counters are.
  12. Lovely detailed Post OP. Sadly, like the many hundreds of others, as there seems to be little to no dev team working on wvw, this post is destined to be ignored and forgotten and it will be just another wasted effort. But thanks for the input.
  13. Given the looong time this has been in development, expect any final version they release to be gamed by the large guilds. Who hasn't got at least 2 alts and probably more, all on different servers, who has been playing for a while? It will just be a question of 'this match up looks good, let's dominate that one'. And everyone jumps on one of their alts and hey presto, bandwagon away. Sadly this is the way most pvp goes in most games these days, with people all wanting to be on the 'winning' side. The problem is caused by no comeback mechanic or advantage to the smaller side- at least GW had some advantage to the losing side and PW had the ultimate mechanic in that you could face so many attacks that you couldn't defend them all (although even that got gamed after a while).
  14. I think you failed to detect the sarcasm. It's literally beeen YEARS since they mentioned alliances. It's quite clear they aren't interested in devoting more than the odd intern's last hour on a Friday if it's the last day in the month to wvw development hence why it's getting nowhere fast.
  15. Much more fun would be able to spawn personal siege, such as a ballista, that does more damage the closer together the enemies are. Boon balls go splat!
