  1. Strongly disagree with deleting birds. They are part of the animal kingdom that we should cherish. Go ahead and remove amulets from pvp, but not birds or any other animal pets.
  2. Well we should be getting a preview if Anet is consistent with how they did the last major balance patch so it's doubtful anything major is coming next week.
  3. At least it is not as bad as the trade-off for mirage. In terms of fairness and to level the playing field, Anet should inform us when the other elites that have not received trade-offs will get them.
  4. In WvW, birds were changed so that they could no longer fly and attack enemy players standing on the top of walls.
  5. Repeated nerfs to the Druid specialization long after it is no longer competitive in spvp. What's up with that?Other specializations have gone without any trade-offs.
  6. With the third expansion, we should get this for WvW: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Siege_Turtle
  7. If the 3rd expansion will have new elite specializations, can we get the trade-offs released with the new elite specializations and not two years later? Also, can we get some idea when the trade-offs will be implemented for the current elite specializations that have not received them yet?
  8. Strongly disagree with this recommendation because removing Sic 'Em from the game adversely affects ranger players in open world, meta events, raids, strike missions, fractals, and dungeons. A skill that is useful in other game modes should not be removed just to satisfy the small population of players in pvp.
  9. Confirming that Protect Me is not giving Barrier in the PvE mode. Ran with a 40+ player squad in Jahai Bluffs doing the Death-Branded Shatterer meta event. Used Protect Me several times and there was no Barrier.
  10. Looking forward to testing this out in WvW. The change is in the in-game text description for the Protect Me skill.
  11. Yes, more pet skill nerfs are possible. Cal Cohen on posting the balance preview: "These changes are not final, and we’re expecting to make further adjustments based on player feedback as well as our own internal review. " Also, remember the nerf to ranger Greatsword a few months back that was never announced.
  12. Yes, this is what I expect with the upcoming balance patch---that certain weaver builds, for example, will be able to hold side nodes and it will be game over because they cannot be dislodged. In the WvW, I saw Maguuma's Krab guild run a very tanky roaming comp (scourge, scrapper, tempest, herald, spellbreaker) that was virtually unkillable. I can only imagine what is going to happen when the upcoming balance patch is released and damage output is reduced. The problem in WvW is compounded because of the Minstrel and Trailblazer stat combinations not found in the PvP mode. Additionally, we now have ascended foods that reduce incoming damage by ten percent.
  13. With the upcoming balance update reducing damage output to "establish a new paradigm", I believe the Barrier combat mechanic introduced in Path of Fire should be reviewed and removed from the PvP and WvW game modes. All professions can Dodge but not all professions can create a Barrier from their skills or traits.
  14. For the WvW mode, gazelle is fine as is. Any nerfs should be restricted to the PvP game mode considering that in WvW, we have minstrel firebrands, heal scrappers, and spellbreakers, classes using stat combinations not found in PvP .
  15. Nah, I would hire a boneskinner whisperer to train my boneskinner pet to be calm and submissive. Visitors would have to follow this rule: No touch, no talk, and no eye contact.
  16. I would love to have a boneskinner pet applying torment to enemies, but I doubt it will ever happen.
  17. Jacaranda might be a useful second pet to deal with conditions---Photosynthesize and Spiritual Reprieve. Bonus is a nice 1200 range attack in Call Lightning.
  18. Did this strike mission yesterday and want to confirm that the Boneskinner respawned after our group got it chest rewards. After it respawned, the Boneskinner unleashed an attack that killed several players remaining in the instance.
  19. I'm curious about how Anet will monitor this trait and evaluate the changes made in this last balance patch.
  20. Does this mean ranger players will have to use the boonbeast build to have any chance in team fights?
  21. My hypothesis is that Tier 2 players while in WvW are also selling and buying things on the Amazon website which places a heavier burden on the Amazon servers used for GW2.
  22. Potential future balance changes were announced on August 21 with the only change for rangers being the Long Range Shot skill. Future Potential WvW-centric changes were posted on September 4 and the post edited on September 6. Again the only change for rangers is the Long Range Shot skill. On September 11, 2019, Anet posted a thank you for the feedback on the changes announced over the prior three week period. Once again the only change for rangers is the Long Range Shot skill. This post was edited by Anet on September 18 and September 25, with the only change still the Long Range Shot skill. Why were the greatsword changes not announced earlier?
  23. I recommend keeping Crippling Throw, at least in PvE, because that skill gives rangers a CC option on champions or legendaries whose mechanics require players to adjust their positions in order to do damage (for example, PoF Bounties)
