  1. I just had an idea. If we really want to keep the skill functions and animation timing the same for some reason, then would it make sense to significantly buff the damage on the hammer? What I've heard is that in pvp, the actual hit rate of the hammer's attacks is dramatically lower than of the standard weapons' attacks because the swing is so slow, awkwardly telegraphed, and weirdly timed that it's far harder to physically hit the enemy player if they're even trying to dodge. It should be possible to get the hammer's actual damage in line with the other weapons considering the limitations involved in the Hammer's actual connection rate. This does nothing to address any of the other problems with the hammer's kit or synergies.
  2. Probably because the game engine doesn't actually move you in the air. It's just a canned animation that maybe gives you immunity to standard attacks (to model your character being in the air), but doesn't give you immunity to spell attacks, or radiant explosion effects. It's the same reason we have a walking animation for movement instead of a full physics simulation for how the character's limbs move and whether they can remain balanced. Games like Qwop (walking simulator) and Toribash (Turn based fighting game where you control individual muscle groups on a 3d model and the game simulates 10 seconds of animation. Once someone wins, it plays the whole animation you and your partner (includes online play!) made, which is usually only a couple of seconds.) have done, and they do it specifically because it is very difficult to do.
  3. Right now I'm torn between going with a human female to remake my old GW1 character in GW2, or going with Asura specifically because the "Minion" page on the wiki has the line "This one's kinda cute" on the list of lines the character might say, and that seemed a bit funny to me. Can someone with a better grasp on the lore of the setting and the use of the racial skills weigh in on what race might be best suited to synergize with Necromancer? For whatever it's worth, I'm aiming to mostly spend my time with PvE, and only occasionally dip a toe in PvP stuff. I also think that I want to experiment with minions, specifically, but of course I haven't played the class yet, so I don't know how well that would go.
  4. I managed to get it working by opening it up in another browser.Say, if I buy the standard edition of Path of Fire to get the mounts, can I later upgrade to the super-deluxe edition of PoF to get the extras and bonuses?
  5. The web store for buying the expansions is broken. The links aren't working, and the formatting is clearly not functioning as intended. This has been the case for the last several days, but I thought it might have been under maintenance. This is what I see. I'm not using any browser extension that messes with how the web page is displayed in this screenshot.
