  1. I'm still playing this game on a Sierra iMac swapping between a Crossover (Wine) and the native Mac client. Even on low settings the Mac client has shader problems especially with leaves in trees. Another problem I encountered is that my necro staff attacks are self-targeted. I can't click the spell and move my target circle as it constantly casts directly at my location. The Crossover port is far more stable...
  2. I wouldn't mind if we add a new close combat weapon: a cursed scythe, which is not a staff (skin) and handles more like a GS (see Triple-Bladed Scythe). And for ranged a shield that can be thrown to knock back multiple attackers
  3. It seems to occur less often when they are few people around. is this some kind of lag bug?
  4. We talked in-game for a short while, but that is not really the medium for longer conversations. I'm currently in an USA guild with an -11 hour time difference. This means their weekly agenda: WvW, HoT/PoF trains, World Boss train, Fractals, Raiding & Guild Missions that happen in their evening will happen for me in the next day mornings. Most of them I can do, but after 1-2 hours I have to start working. Hence I'm looking for a local time guild and SG is +1 hour from me. I had a quick look at your web site to get an idea of your guild. Before switching or temporary joining, I have some questions: Is this an elite/hardcore guild or also for newcomers and casual players? On the first page of this topic the major focus is on Raids.Do you have a daily activity schedule like I mentioned in the agenda? For newcomers and alts you can get 250 HP and a few MP in a HoT run, which is great for maxing (elite) skill. How talkative and helpful are your members? When you ask a question or seek assistance, you expect an answer within 5 mins or so when there are 15+ people online. It's even better when people that are better at JPs help you with a teleporting mesmer or teleport gadget. Some people may even plant an alt at the end of one for future assistance. Some members expect you to do storylines all by yourself as they are "easy". For older gamers and newcomers they might be difficult. I don't expect an experienced player to hold my hand every time, but I would love it if people do them together as it is more fun and it is less frustrating if you keep dying and can't find out what you are doing wrong. What is your view on this?In my current guild there are people that almost have full home instances and invite people to gather materials. With years playing comes knowledge and I seem to lack a lot of it. Do you have "lore officers" that help you improve your crafting, fighting, etc? I had to get most of my knowledge from YouTube and only recently found out there even was a home instance.
  5. When I press X or click my mount button, I sometimes appear stuck in the floor on my mount. When I switch to map view I can still move my cursor and it takes a while to get unstuck. I used to solve this with a 50% chance of success by pressing space followed quickly by mount button, but since 1-2 weeks I can't do that anymore. Can this bug be solved by elevating my position on the mount when mounting? A little vertical jump + mounting might do the trick.
  6. It would be better if we actually had a real Mac client and not just a port. My crossover port is a lot more stable than the Cider port they offer.
  7. Hello Talia,I'm an absolute beginner in GW2 and I did play GW1 a bit, but I've been mostly playing WoW (is that a swear word over here?). I didn't even know GW2 was free until 40 days ago and joined the game. Since I had no clue on which server to begin, I chose an EU server medium population AG. Can I move from an EU server to your NA server? I don't feel like starting all over again. I'm in the SEA zone and since I'm a casual player, I still haven't explore the whole map yet (76%). With the puchase of HoT/PoF I'm almost at getting the jackal. What I also would like to know if HoD is already a high population server and how will that affect my game. The more people the higher the lag? I'm already having some issues with my land mounts being stuck in the ground while my map cursor is moving. Of course I don't have a high end computer, but it is playable on my computer. Last question can you make a guess how many players are from which region? For example if there are only 10 SEA members, that would mean that I most like only have a chance to join a party for quests etc in the weekend. Also according to wiki there is a transfer cost 500/1000/1800 gems to a medium/high/very high server. Since I never transfered, that will be free? What will happen to my inventory, bank and material storage?
