  1. In Fractals, when the instability is frailty the blight mechanic scales in such a way that it is almost unplayable. At least for frailty it needs to be multiplicative not additive, example with full vipers @ 22k hp Currently the calculation is: 22k hp * [ 1 - ( 0.5 blight + 0.3 frailty ) ] = 4.4k The calculation should be: ( (22k hp * 0.5 blight ) * 0.3 frailty ) = 7.7k
  2. Yes. 100% Agree. Legendary Armor and Weapons serve the same function, removing the cost to change their stats. Legendary Infusions would do the same. Absolutely not. This would take a very significant amount of dev time to implement. This is likely the reason we are not able to toggle legendary accessories effects. Even just a toggle will take or is taking a very long time to implement. Legendary items do not give any advantages over non legendary items. Or stated another way, a player with and a player without legendary armor must be able to have the exact same stats always. Potential future updates may add in Agony mechanics elsewhere in the game, if this happens than a legendary infusion would be better than a normal infusion. This breaks horizontal progression. Aquatic Breather. =P
  3. This is actually relatively trivial to fix, it isn't the act of acquiring a bound legendary that triggers "Twice Told Legend" it is the act of BINDING a legendary. If they decided to go with the account skin method of acquisition, then the items you acquire will already be bound, and cannot be bound again. This would allow people who want it to still acquire "Twice Told Legend". While it would be completely unnecessary to have the title at this point, people would still do it just like the "I'm Rich You Know" title, that is literally just throwing away 1000g.
  4. Help me understand how you come to the idea that introducing a major QoL should be free to all end users. Because to make effective use of this you ALREADY have to buy additional Build Equipment Tabs and additional Skill Build Tabs.Remember, we are used to using ArcTemplates to be able to use 10-40 builds per character. Dealing with just 2 builds per character is too constraining. Why should I have to buy THREE different things to make use of my very expensive legendary gear?
  5. I'll bet all the complaining about fashion is going to cause this feature to be delayed several months.Plus in the original post it talked about improvements to build templates themselves... why conflate the two?Armory doesn't have to come at the same time as the build template improvements do they? With the announcement made that Armory will eventually be a thing, there is no reason for me to bother gearing new characters. I would effectively be paying for a temporary set of armor. Just to use until the armory goes live, so why bother? I just recently finished my third set of legendary armor, and now knowing that it will be SEVERAL MONTHS before the armory is available makes me wanna quit and just wait until it finally is live. I guess I am mostly upset because of the ambiguous wording in the original post "our plans for the next update that will affect the suite of templates features" left it open to believe that this could happen soon rather than a long time from now. Also, if Arenanet is going to put MONTHS of development time into this, are you just gonna tripple monetize the armory also? Right now I am hopeful, but also rather frustrated.
  6. Learning Elementalist as my first class. It doesn't really matter what you do, as a beginner to the class you WILL die a lot to basically everything.Oh and I think someone above mentioned Mordrem Snipers.
  7. The ArenaNet team has access to usage statistics from across the entire game for several years of play. I am sure they detemined that a vast majority of players salvaged greens and blues with the same salvage kit most of the time. When they release features like this it is to benefit the majority not the minority.
  8. Absolutely Not. They are already marked as "Unique". Even if you could dupe a Coalescence right now, you would be unable to have two on the same character.
  9. Your numbers are WAY off. Each piece of Legendary Armor costs 350g at most. A full set is valued at around 1800g.
  10. Since this only applies to account bound legendaries it would make the most sense to simply be a window where people can pull out unlimited copies of legendaries they have unlocked. This wouldn't require integration with anything, and you could still have multiple sets per character if you wanted. This solves all the fashion concerns, and issues covering classes that want two of the same legendary (ie Axe/Axe with ofhand Axe/Axe for Berserker).
  11. A friend of mine suggested the following system: Account Build Storage - nearly unlimited and free (We can mitigate it with notepad anyways)Remove Character Build Storage (With unlimited account storage it is irrelevant anyways)Give players an account wide Armory Inventory for them to put their gear into, start with 40 or so inventory slots, then sell additional slots for like 400 gems per 20 slots just like bag slots. This way the price is already set and appreciated, legendary gear isn't devalued, and gear templates that are only a minor variation don't cost 400gems for just 2 slots.
  12. I bought all 7 within a month of returning to the game after a 3 year break. 100% worth.I only have to deal with my bloodstone dust once a month now, and can make 20 bricks at a time. (20 bricks x 100 bloodstone ea = 2000 bloodstone stored)Not to mention all the other dozens of materials that just fill up rather quickly.
  13. In it's current implementation over 80% of the player base should be happy and excited for the change, it is another tab of gear for every character, what's not to love about that? The 80% of the player base that should love this feature are also the same 80% that very likely wont be buying any additional tabs. It is the 20% of the players that do use addons, and that do use more than 2 builds per character that should be upset. The 20% of the player base that should be upset are also those that are most likely to be the ones that would buy additional tabs. The current implementation basically tells veteran players "Hey, fork up ~$50 to ~$150 to be able to manage your builds like you are used to". (I won't get into the actual argument, just understand that a majority of players should be happy with this change, the outrage isn't for the 80%, it is for the 20% that are being monetized)
  14. As Nephalem noted, what we (Hardcore Raiders) are upset about is how poorly the gear template system is designed. Its current implementation: Significantly devalues legendary gearActively makes it harder / impossible to share your legendary gear with characters on your account. (1)Provides no method of "restoring stats" to a set that has been modified for one-off circumstancesDoes not provide enough gear tabs for people that want to include specialized variants of niche builds (2)Provides significantly less value for gear sets that are just variations of another gear set (3)(1) If you remove legendary gear from a character, all the templates on that character are broken, in addition the character that you move the gear to, has to have all their templates basically re-created(2) While I will agree that it is fair to not need another build tab for every 100 toughness benchmarks, having one with min toughness and one with max toughness is highly desirable.(3) Take for example Power Rifle Deadeye, and Power Bo Daredevil, the difference is a single weapon, while you may think "so what, it is just a weapon", think instead of builds that have only 6 or 8 differences in gear, do you really want to manually change these pieces every single time? Think of how many pieces you personally would think it not worth your time to deal with switching. The price of another gear tab will be the same if it is completely unique gear, vs recycling some gear for another tab.
  15. I am using a 3800x with 3600 MHz (oc from 3200 MHz) CL 16 Corsair Dominator Platinums (Hynix CLF), the 3700x and 3800x only support a fclk of 1800mhz (double rate so is in sync with RAM).I use a 144 hz monitor, and often get 120+ FPS with a GTX 1080ti and using DX12Mod. If I lock it to 60 the framerate is completely rock solid even in WvW when the model limit is medium and the model quality is max. Edit: fclk limit is 1800MHz not 1600MHz, it is not worth de-syncing the clock as you have to really fine tune all your timings to makeup for the ratio loss.
