  1. Bruh you are delusional.Pick 1-2 of what you proposed and its gonna be fine. All of these can drop at once and Holosmith, both rifle and Prot Holo, would still be an A-B tier build for ranked. 3/4 of these changes are targeted core, not holo.
  2. Engi needs an update to his severely outdated traits and skills.Skills: Turrets are bad - healing is the only good one (seems staple skill of Engi to me).Kits are outdated - Med Kit is ok. Flamethrower and Elixir has few fine abilities - minor tweaks would do the job. Mortar, Toolkit, Bomb and Granade kits are simply outdated. Feels bad to use these. Complete rework would be nice (maybe little less than complete rework for the Mortar).Throw mine, Slick shoes, Utility Goggles, Elixir R, Supply Crate(Elite) - I doubt a single person uses any of these in PvP and is not trying to loose on purpose.Pistol skills - Feels weak and confusing to use. Is it close range? Is it long range? Simply feels outdated.Trait lines: I won't get into details. Every Core trait feels clunky and outdated. Please rework it the way you feel, but make it compliant. Make it up to date.Scrapper: Bruiser'ish spec, but feels rather squishy. Bulwark Gyro is a must-have to be able to survive in PvP.I'm not a fan of Impact Savant at all. Maybe make it pickable trait rather than built-in. It lacks of synergy with Conditions makes whole Scrapper line Power-attached. Also Hammer is the only viable weapon.Lots of superspeed, but for what? I feel like there is not enough synergy with Superspeed to give Scrapper amout it gets.Functional Gyro dies really often. Feels weird to use it, but I see it as cool mechanic personally.Whole traitline seems lackluster to me - there is nothing staple, nothing really cool there.Conditions kills Scrapper whatever he does. Impossible to get enough cleanse and still be revelant in other aspects.Holosmith:Overall on the strong side as the only Engi build.Nerf should happen, but it should not influence Core Engi at all (in its current state).Best options to nerf: Heat TherapyPrism Light Beam (so it reveals user from stealth when used)Holo Leap (slight cd increase)
  3. Engi is overall on the weak end. Core traits and skills are simply outdated. Any nerf to these is like kicking unconcious beaten down person. The only acceptable nerfs with no negative impact on Core/Scrapper are nerfs to Holo traits/spells. Therefore, I suppose the most logical would be to nerf some of the below: Heat TherapyPrime Light Beam (so it reveals from stealth on use)Holo Leap (cd increase)
  4. Sounds more like new espec to me.Why change something that works fine?
  5. Specs that in my feeling needs some nerfing or tweak in power: Fire Weaver - It is hard to learn spec, cannot deny that. But when you got the muscle memory right, it can evade 3/4 of time. Remaining 1/4 is spent on burst combos, which are really strong. One good combo can stack like 20 Burns in 2.5 sec. It's sudden, it hurts.Tactic Warrior - Dmg increase on target with barrier is INSANE. Easy might stacking is also quite disturbing.Condi DD Thief - Whilst Weaver evades 3/4 of time, this guy here is evading 90% of time, constantly applying condis in the meantime. Quite impossible to track his dodges and all the evasion skills to look to the window. I agree that dmg is not top notch, but it is simply cancer to play against. DE - It does not seem to be extremely op to me. It is simply very obnoxious to play against. So many stealths, so hard hitting. Fits the sniper fantasy i guess, is it healthy though?Rifle Tools Holo - It feels too oppressive to play against, whilst being really persistent. I see sustain is much built-in the Core Engi and any nerfs to Core Engi will cause havoc to every remaining Engi builds. Therefore, I see it better to nerf some Holo part (and fix the unused traits). Heat therapy seems to be the best thing to nerf. Perhaps make Pristine Light Beam turn stealth off whilst using?Mirage Condi - I do not feel it is op by any means (it is very nerfed tbh). Although, it is annoying. Also, mechanics of Mirage does not seem to compliment shatters, which is kind of a anti-synergy to Mirage's kit itself. I see necessity of big rework/tweaks to how clones are behaving with Mirror Cloak.Soulbeast - For me it feels more overall consistent than Holo. Nice sustain, nice dmg. It has everything. I guess it would be good to align some numbers. Not much work necessary here.Firebrand - Uh ah. Feels too strong. Feels completely broken if more than 1 in the team. I believe some non-stacking mechanic between FBs abilities should be considered.Specs that I feel needs some love: Revenant - Energy mechanics should be revised. Pretty much everything costs it, but nothing is recovering. Decision making is good, but in Revenant's case I feel like it is too much.Reaper - a slight numbers alignment. In below's topic we agreed that it is very hard to balance specs one by one, because one fixed is influencing whole balance. Therefore, you can plan perfect balance cahnges to current game state. However after you start to implement these on one spec per X weeks, game balance gets disrupted until all planned changes are loaded. The best way to fix the balance is to make a huge one-time patch after many tests with good players.https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/1071716#Comment_1071716
  6. Hi there, I went through hundreds of topics where this question rised. Unfortunately, there were never an answer supported with some clarifications. It is always "Rev was designed around espec" and that's all.Why it is worse? For example, how harder it will be to play sPvP/duels as Core Dev/Inv/Ret Power Shiro, than Power Shiro Herald (any variation)?I would like to play below build in sPvP mostly. Please clarify to me why Herald build is better:http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PmwAwyZlxQHMPyh1RNMO6hRSfMCKglsU2SH-z5gXIZWB9GCtnAKNA I just don't see it worse on paper. Is Facet mechanic that gamebreaking?
  7. Lack of both ranked 2v2 and dueling feature pushes far faaaaaar away from this game.I know multiple ppl just checking for these from time to time.Anet does not seem to realise this game has pvp potential. The only real work is being done around raids. Sad.
  8. There's too much on too many specs.game needs to be reworked with huge one balance patch. They can work a year on it, I don't care. Just don't try to balance one by one, that's not the way...
  9. You mean that Holo is not op?I just listed what's regurarily posted as broken on the forum. Not really wanted to actually say what's truly op, because to determine that, days of tests and calculations needs to be done. Let's not try to determine that here, as topic will become another 'my spec is the worst, whilst X is the most broken of em all'
  10. I dont think they care, it doesnt take all that long to put some thought out balance changes, heck gather top 10 players and talk with them. get some balance going and see how i goes. BTW there should be a way to take a look at winrates of each class. Why are we still playing this game then? Srsly asking Cause it's allowed. Even more, it's designed like that. I suppose this game is now supposed be like this.
  11. I agree with you 2 guys above. Anet just needs to hold the fk on and work at some crazy big balance patch. May even include tests with players before go live. Now, how do we speak to them? Can everybody spam support tickets with this solution or how?
  12. I agree. And that's true. There's too much burst atm. And anet seems to try to balance it around that by force. Implementing more evasion etc. Which makes game unpleasant as any mistake can be punished by death. Now, how do we make anet aware of that? By crying on forums that 1 spec is op? No. It will only make them confused. There are gaps in logic behind most of feedback given by players, which led us to this point where anet is not communicating with playerbase at all.How can we redeem the situation? That was a general statement that it still can be a braindead meta even though nothing is remarkable more lame than others. And if you need prove that it fits to gw2 atm then just look at the game and every ex esl player will tell you that the game in its current state is way to braindead spammable and survivng way to easy during still having tons of dmg. Power creep at its best in all aspects. I rly have no clue how i can prove such obvious thing to you when all you need to do is looking at the game. If you have any idea tell me and i try my best. Ok, let's say I agree. How do we fix that? Because another nerf x spec is not the solution. I made so many concrete balance suggestion to so many classes, i rly don't want to rewrite all of it. Basically as an general overview: Rework all passsive traits into something more active, active sustain shouldn't be perma spammable and give active sustain more opportunity costs in dmg, so that we don't have all the builds can facetank for ages and still have high dmg. Reduce boonuptime and access to boons. Rework passive dmg multiplier traits into something else and let only runes/ sigils have some dmg multiplier so they cannot be stacked into heaven. I maybe forgot something here but that is the first comes to mind.I see I can have constructive discussion with you. I'm glad.I believe we agree that posts with nerf suggestion of 1 spec is not helping. It just triggers players playing that spec, which makes the kittenstorm begin. Anet sees that post and thinks we are idiots. How can we help in the point we are at the moment? Our posts needs to be on point. Supported by examples and numbers, not feelings. I went through similar game quality decrease in Wow. I don't wanna see this again.

  14. I know that everyone hates one spec the most. For you it's mirage, for me it's Warr. But truth is we are both wrong. Looking at forum gave me cancer due to how shallow players perspective is.
  15. Well, fine "we" will shut up, but don't come crying on forum that there is no one to play with. :)The real diversity would be if for example ele (be it offence, defence, support type) would be able to use minimum: Staff core, DD core, S/x core, d/x tempest, staff tempest, d/d tempest, sw/x weaver, s/x weaver, staff weaver in competetive scene. You can combine 7 trait lines in like 35 possible ways if I'm not mistaken and on top you can in each trait line have like 27 possible combinations, that's the minimum of builds every single player should be capable of creating is ~945 for 1 class, without taking into account possible runes/sigils/stats/food/weapons/skills, then we could say we have "diversity".Yours diversity: 1 maybe 2 builds for 1 whole class. My minimum expected diversity: 3 builds for core and each e-speces released until now.But it's okay, as they: "Be Happy For The Small Things", right?P.S. The game is at it's "worst" balance wise, not mentioning numerous bugs. There were never diversity you described. Anet devs are not capable to make it happen. You want another game bruh. You crazy man.
