  1. Same thing happens with boost orbs on almost every beetle trial, it might be because the event and time trial variations are basically copy-pasted on top of each other, and the event's expiration doesn't seem to discriminate between which one it is but removes all of them in one fell swoop. I think it's been a thing since the first roller beetle race events came out in 2018, some frequent racers settle for waiting out the event or joining it not to race in it, but just to see when the event timer expires, though it can get annoying and disrupt the flow of your practice. In the worst case something like this might occur right on your best run yet, that happens often too. Alas, there are a bunch of similar minor inconveniences that avert the average person's eyes, no small thanks to pseudo-anonymous leaderboards in a minigame centered around ranking and leaderboards. Most people would chalk these things up to their skill level or simple bad luck and call it a day, when really it's neither of those two.
  2. After the EoD release some changes were made to the smaller-scale race event structure and the current race tournaments are open for everyone on EU to attend, whenever one is available. There may also be a World Cup coming next year, there were none this year and for now the organizers are taking a breather from the race events. Something like a world cup is by no means a closed event, there would be qualifiers open for everyone who is able to attend both on the EU and NA sides on a couple of dates. The following regional finals and later the world finals would obviously then be held behind closed doors with all the racers who previously qualified for each final. People would be able to spectate via a live stream on Twitch or view it later from the recorded footage. It'll surely be a bit different next time, but things should follow the pre-established formula for open world qualifiers like below: (yes with full squads it gets a bit laggy) The organizers keep tabs on who finishes in what position up to a point, and then arrange the scoring accordingly. There are around 3-4 races and people win/qualify based on their total score. Then the top X from those racers proceed to the regional finals, which are held in a guild hall at a later date.
  3. The Escort starts on the road near the Temple of the Dredge (South/South-West of the map). The pre-event has you collect mushrooms before the time runs out and at the end of the following escort event there's the champion warden. You fight him in the open area below Arianna's Perch nearby to the East of the temple.
