Can confirm Dunning-Kruger. I built my scrapper with sustain in mind and in most groups I've played him in he's usually the only Asura left standing. A couple of months of this I was feeling pretty invulnerable. Then I went into the desert to do the bounty daily and Zawadi the Turncoat put me down within seconds.

I learned the power of following respectfully behind a commander that day...

    I've already fan-fic'ed this...

It's very rare the Commander does anything that requires some brain cells. Just go and kill things or hit F until the heart is filled. A skritt can easily do their job.

The motivation to set out from the scratch is as simple as "Zhaitan stole my shiny! This is my story." Why do they help Destiny's Edge in the dungeons? Shinies! Also they seem to have a deep connections to their friends. And Aurene? Soooo shiny! Also they seem to care deeply for kits. In S2 Dragon's Watch seem to follow the Commander (when they follow them) simply because they get stuff done so that can just as easily apply.

The big problem of course is the effort needed to re-write all of the dialog and get some of the old voice actors back to redo some lines. But this is the same for any new playable race.

Also, motivating them to leave Tarir might be a problem...

I do play wvw with warrior, but only as spellbreaker in zerg

I just started SB. Kinda glassy build so losing might stacking and duration would eff it pretty hard.

OP is most likely salty after losing 1v1 or getting ganked

Please nerf threads are never made by the people who win those fights.

    Anet dont nerf, kthx.

You forgot that WvW and PvP are the only modes the game has.

I know. I was surprised to find this out myself but the forums corrected my assumtption.

Whales are a dependable source of income but since they've already done their big spending they're not profit-makers. Them giving away HoT with a PoF purchase pretty much confirms it's not the whales they're relying on. It's new player churn that makes the money. New players come in for a few months and impulse spend and then move on once they're bored. The frivolous stuff in the cash shop shows they know this is where their coin comes from and are aiming at them.

    Okay, advice taken, but . . . ..

I am flummoxed about obtaining the Masteries. They seem out of reach, and I'm just sick of chasing them.

Most of PoF requires you to reach Level 3 in your mount masteries to continue past the map barriers: Canyon Jumping, High Vault, and Ride the Wind. Everything else past that is optional (That includes the other mounts, BTW. ) Many of the HPs and MPs you can't reach usually require one of these.

I personally like running around and poking my nose into the odd corners of the map but if it's not working for you just grit your teeth and do the bare minimum.
