  1. Op i think you are jumping the gun a bit? The last GW1 Canthan expansion was the best expansion i've ever played in any mmorpg or other ever. Now i'm betting it wont beat GW1 but i feel you haven't seen it all yet.
  2. Fantasy by definition is grand and epic.. The architecture stands to reason would follow that chain of thought.. Its designed to Awe more than anything.. I also think it tends to follow medieval architecture eras some what where everything was designed on a huge scale. Personally i like the designs and world building in GW2
  3. It should have always been, it would have put customers on an even playing field.. Less grind more game play.
  4. I used to use these a lot and Now i can't seem to get them anymore in Australia? Specifically EB Games here sold them but now they seem to have vanished around the time Covid arrived? Anyone able to still get these in Aus or anyone know anything as why they stopped selling them? Thanks.
  5. Contrary with me. The birb is just catching dust now. The Skyscale is so much more useful in getting to places that the birb cant reach. Four dashes in sequence can reach a lot of places the birb never could. Plus far more precise at landing in small spots, the birb not able to brake easilly when flying because of momentum. Only real use for the birb is birb specific flying challenges, as well super long distance flying that have room to swoop down and back up for superspeed flying, something which isnt available in a great many maps, cutting down on the usefulness on it. The maps caters far more to smaller distance movements between spots, which is where the skyscale excels. I used to use the birb a lot because it had snap upwards movement, but I find the skyscale is doing that much better. And the biggest thing that makes the skyscale superior. No need to constantly hit space to flap. Such a qol. I like the speed and the need to flap, i like jumping off things to double jump higher and higher i've gotten so proficient in it i have no issues keeping up or surpassing skyscale customers.. And the speed across a map is epic.
  6. Weird op as i had a completely opposite experience I loved every single aspect of the core tyria experience.. I mean its no Guildwars 1 but it was very fun for me.. Iplayed it for a year and a half 80'd like 10 characters and loved every minute.. Fast forward to Southsun Cove and Living story 1 and i just lost interest the difficulty ramped up the somewhat forced raid/dungeons at the end then Fractals and ascended weapon grind.. I stopped playing for years, i picked up HoT cheap and i had a horrific time there.. even after the so called nerfs i hated it, i still do to be honest the over need for grind and currencies, oh so many currencies just turned me away.. I came back for PoF and while it was some what less harsh the enemies and bosses were still so horrific in spots i just became tired and stressed and left.. I do so hope the new expac is more along the lines of core tyria but i'm not going to be holding my breath.
  7. After i got my Griffon i never bothered with the skyscale.. It just doesn't compare imo.
  8. I'm not sure hardcore raiders will like this but if you want more participation you need to make them easier, faster and less toxic/elitist. Those are the main reasons customers avoid them. Yes, gw2 has so many dedicated guilds to training, people literraly spend like 2 hours just to teach 1 wing to new ppl and wipe -gg- wipe, it says a lot about the dedication Most customers do not want training or to waste two hours a day/week/month learning the ropes.. Honestly they are there to play a game not to do training and homework.
  9. Its been like this for years 80% of the sets are useless and gather dust.. I can't see it ever changing the meta people would be upset. A whole group of sets you can't even get without jumping through massive grind hoops.. and still don't have rings and jewellry for karma or from the npcs in LA etc.
  10. I looks very World of Warcraft.. The horns ruined it for me.
  11. More Story less grind, honestly with how GW2 has changed since release i hardly login in these days.. Gems cost a fortune as an Aussie and the games just become a tired grind..Also for some reason EB games no longer is able to get Gem Cards here so i stopped buying Gems. I really miss GW1
  12. Lets hope so. Lets hope its a Phoenix moment and GW2 goes back to its release roots.
  13. That's funny as i have been here from release and only have 250k ? i am incredibly casual and hate all pvp, wvw though.
  14. Its not really the dungeons its the players playing the dungeons that make it hard.. All these crazy ? requirements and elitist behaviour doesn't make for a fun system. I cannot see Anet changing it now.. Even strikes became toxic fests.
  15. I don't get it, why would you want something more graphically heavy on your system and servers when its already pretty bad in game daily.. Its not like Anet does a lot to fix serious stuff so making even more issues for our selves seems counter productive in my opinion.
  16. Gotta keep up with the Meta little Hamster. Don't let that treadmill slow down.
  17. Yeah, haha, i have a couple of screenshots of that arena, but this one is the only one i think that shows pets in it. :smile:I kinda miss the old Lion's arch, but i appreciate Anet for having the balls to literally destroy one map and redo it as part of the story. Like, kudos, really!I don't have many, if any LW2 Lion's arch screenshots, when it was under attack and all messed up. I think i stopped playing then. Got back for HoT, then left for LW3, got back for PoF and now i'm back as well.Missed so many free stores but oh well. It was quite a different experience wasn't it? :smile:I appreciate all the QoL changes we got since then, but i miss it for the nostalgia. I just found it a lot more casual and fun. Even the old dungeons at the time i hated as they were so hardcore turned out to be so much better then than the crazy Fractals and raiding we have now.. I so regret losing dungeons as they were so much better, i had no idea what the grindy future would bring. The dungeons are still there get 1-4 more people and go ham on them.I did but there is only so many times you can play the same things over and over.. What i meant was back in the day i hated dungeons, but i had no idea the feedback would lead to even worse things like raids and fractals.. we should have just said nothing and played the now casual dungeons and we would have gotten more, not this modern crazy insanity that is fractals etc.. The things you learn too late.
  18. For me its the clunky animations on the skills that make so bad. The horrible cones and square shaped attacks just seem niche and pointless in the actual game.. Imo it was a really poorly thought out class.
