lol you sound like me a couple of months ago.. look, they not gonna change it, your not the first to rage and rant about it, hell i was posting stuff b4 the changes.. i almost quit the game cause i was so bummed (soto kept me interested tbh).. but hell because i was forced to pay attention to combo fields, its kinda changed how i play the game now.. my healers are more effective because of it.. and i'm more aware of whats happening during a fight.. there are subjectively worse quick /dps options than engineer.. imo (catalyst. berserker, deadeye, untamed all have drawbacks) i'm sorry you haven't adjusted to the change, pfft all i can say is give it an honest go, or move on to herald 🙂 peace 🖖

lol funny as hell!.. umm yeah i raged and ranted about the scrapper changes when they came out, created a couple of threads and was very cheesed off. rage quit scrapper, systematically went through each class, then came back to engineer (didn't like any of them that much). and kinda love the new scrapper now.. believe me when i say.. i understand how you feel, but the new scrapper makes you plan and think about how and when to do your combos, its far more interesting to play now... and oh boy! here we go.... i don't use grenades! i use blast gyro, mine and shredder gyro (plus the heal and stealth gyro) ... and my dps is very very good. i always have arcdps on and i do fractals every day.. (fractal god).. sooo i do know what good dps looks like for EVERY fractal. i would take some vids for your disbelief, but i like that nobody plays scrapper now.. its potent. just try it.. i dare u 🙂

they are the kings of silent surf atm. like almost double the dps of other classes.

i last time i seen an alac willbender in my fractal dailys, was when i tried oh so very hard to make it work. (many many moons ago) absolutely no-one uses it.. as a boon build for group content it might as well not exist, pretty rare to see dps will benders as well. i really wanted it to work, especially the heal willbender side. guard has some very nice utility skills for it. but again flowing resolve relies on the mob not moving. its kitten.

depends on you, alac mech is a group dps multiplier. alac / pulsing barrier (for a little sustain) full 25 might and fury for 5 peeps, good for meta maps and group content.. solo is fine, just boring.. hit 1 ftw! 🙂 decentish ez dps. you wanna solo open world bosses with your metal meat shield. np 😜

scrapper ftw, you can reuse your deadeyes medium armor, the knee jerk reaction is necro, but its kinda dull to play. scrapper is fun to play. tanky! 5% of your damage gets converted to personal barrier. (more damage more barrier) bursty! great for boss phases, great for stun locked mob annihilation. stun locked mobs and 1000 cc break bar damage, makes your healers life much easier when the mobs cant attack. solo destroy boss bars. super speed, invisibility for mob skips. change one trait and your now a quick dps scrapper can use the same beserkers gear for multiple roles (alac-dps/quick-dps/dps) or you can add harriers gear for quick heal or alac heal. in summary no other class has the scope that engineer has.

im a fractal god, i dont use grenades. i dont use it on quick scrapper or my dps scrapper. i use blast gyro, adds to my burst in a fairly substantial way. my utility's are heal gyro, blast gyro , mine, shredder gyro with the elite skill of sneak gyro. i can burst 100k+ dps on 5 mobs at once while keeping them stun locked, i can solo break a bosses bar, i have invis for running past mobs. my dps doesn't suffer because of the missing grenades. damage is often done in burst phases and for those bosses that don't have movement phases.. i can get up to 40k with a good group, its rare for someone to out dps's me. don't forget super speed makes all movement impairments (except immobilize) mote. blast gyro is a nice 11 might group boost before singularity's , 22 might as i precast it into the encounter. on paper grenades look good, i found them to be awkward and unrewarding compared to blast gyro. after running what feels like thousands of fractals. i never equip grenade. i will situation-ally switch out shredder gyro if the group needs the extra stability from bulwark gyro. i don't like to do that, as it hurts my dps. but sometimes pugs will be pugs. and most of all, i don't use grenades cause they aren't fun! use whats fun for you. o/

yeah its a bit clunky, but it's very much stronger now. mia trin can be frustrating when it goes wrong, that's the tradeoff i guess.. scrapper comes with banana levels of passive barrier. paired with its ability to stun lock mobs or break defiance bars like they don't exist, its still my favourite all rounder.
