  1. I dont understand how people can actually believe this since the big power nerf patch. What reality do you live in? Condi builds are currently way stronger than power builds. If built properly all condition builds are just faceroll easy. Power builds take a lot more effort to actually be good. There’s a couple outlier power builds that are strong, but overall condition builds take the cake right now.

    I support the OP. Sword could use some minor buffs. Tactical Strike could use a buff. 100% might be a bit too much. But a damage buff would be nice. Backtab should still do the bigger damage. Infil’s Return seems okay, but it does seem like its too long sometimes, so it could be shortened some, but making it 8 may be too short. Pistol Whip could definitely use the initiative revert. Its too clunky right now at 6 initiative. Even with the slight buff it received last patch its still a garbo skill. Flanking and Larcenous feel fine. I agree with Jungle that the sword auto attack chain could use a slight buff vs a flanking/larcenous buff.
  3. Hey Devs,In the big balance patch earlier this year, you balanced CC skills so they don't do damage. Can you please take a look at an overlooked Trait that makes a CC skill do fairly large damage still: Terror (Necromancer - Curses - Master slot). I am not saying it shouldn't do any damage, but since it is a CC skill it should definitely be balanced like the rest of the CC skills and have its damage reduced. It is doing too much damage per second in relation to the other CC skills that have been nerfed.
  4. PW does need an un-nerf. Since the damage got lowered a lot from the last balance patch they did not need to touch the initiative cost at all. They could simply revert that change and be done with it. If they actually wanted to give it a cool buff I have a suggestion. It might cause some tears. My suggestion would be to add 2-3 seconds of quickness on activation of PW. It would make it strong, but in perspective of overall balance I don't think it is overpowered
  5. Nothing against you but I have to debunk this perception. Its actually the same amount of skills they would be creating. Offhand 4 and 5 are static skills (so that 2 new they create). Then they only then have to create dual skills for main hands - sword, dagger, and pistol (thats only 3 more new skills). So they would be creating 5 new weapon skills whether its a new 2 hander or a new off hander. The same amount of work. On topic: my vote is sword offhand.
  6. If you think power thieves are an issue at all right now then its a learn to play issue. I agree thief is bad, but so are just about all condi bunker specs for most classes right now if built a certain way. The bunker condi rev build is probably the major offender right now. As some have said the build existed before the patch, its just more obvious now then before the patch. I also agree that some of the issues here could be fixed by removing things like the torment runes and gear like trail blazer and dire, but its highly unlikely ANet will remove these things.

  8. Lmao, no. They will say its part of the expansion and never release it. They have to keep it par for the course.
  9. I know someone else said this can’t be the case, but I actually think you are correct on this one. With the patch a lot more people are running condi builds which has increased the amount of conditions the server has had to calculate exponentially. Yes power builds have some conditions too, but no where near the amount of condis actual conditions but can create.
  10. Funny you say this, because now its a lot easier and faster to kill someone with the burn condition. I agree with you, WvW should not be about burning someone instantly, but thats what this patch has done, so OP is right to ask to revert the patch.
  11. Agree on the needing Trickery comment of yours. Its sad that ANet has pigeonholed us into needing Trickery, especially with the recent nerfs that increased initiative on skills (which wasn't needed because they nerfed the damage, so why nerf initiative too). I personally dont like the patch yet, because I think condi damage is out of hand, and some classes still have too much sustain (insane healing as you put it), namely some specs for druid, sb, holo, and fb.
  12. The problem with your argument there is that you seem to categorize Trickery as a defensive line. Its not really, so you are just suggesting to get rid of all defensive trait lines in your build all together, which in this now Condi Bunker meta is not feasible if you want to live at all. They need to make the increased initiative from Trickery baseline so we dont have to take it as a part of all effective builds.
  13. I don’t really play PvE anymore, I mainly focus my time in WvW, but I wanted to say there are a lot of WvWers and PvPers that feel the same way you do. You aren’t alone with feeling the patch has pretty much ruined the game. Condi Bunker (which is now meta) in WvW and PvP is not fun, never has been, never will be. You know they messed up when combat is in the state that conditions can burst quicker and easier than power damage. DoTs (damage over time) does faster burst than power....
  14. I don't agree. We need to be vocal about it so they know to fix the issue. If we just chill nothing will change. Its already so evident that it needs to be brought up. People warned about this pre-patch. Condis are already obviously way overpowered. Anet touched condis very lightly in this patch, they needed to actually balance the damage of conditions along with the damage of power. Im not sure if they thought the minor changes they did to condis would be balanced with power in anyway, but its not. You can bring all your cleanses, but Condi bunkers can spam condis all day, sit back and laugh as power damage tickles them. They will just keep bombing you with condis until all your cleanses are on cool down and kill you with ease. Condition application is out of hand and has been for a while, this patch bring it more to light.
  15. Theres other things than FB/Necro that is busted. Just about every condi bunker spec for all classes is busted. You can bring all your cleanses but then you wont be able to damage them enough to kill them. If you run into a group of 4-5 condi bunkers no amount of cleanses is going to keep you from going down fast if they focus you. All the condi bunker specs have to do is keep bombarding you through your cleanses until you eventually have all of them on cooldown and then they kill you because they can just spam condis all day. The amount of reapplication of condis is really busted and has been for a while, this patch just brings it to the light more. I have heard they have a condi rework patch in the pipeline, but they really needed to balance condis along with power because they are too strong at the moment. If you don't agree, then you really are just trying to protect your faceroll easy way of playing the game.
