  1. OP, idk what you're complaining about re: Skyscale masteries; they literally are doing exactly what you want with the new tree. Did you not see that table during pre-release that shows what all the SotO masteries do to upgrade Skyscale for veteran players? I agree about the Daily. And yet this could be so easily solved by just adding 1 or 2 more Daily tasks as options; 6/4 for the chest instead of 4/4. The Weekly literally already does this (8/6 for the chest); why not do the same for the Daily??? Maybe to make you actually use your kitten reward points instead of hoarding them the same way you hoard Laurels? 🙄 Arenanet wants you to actually feel rewarded for the effort you put into getting AA's. That sense of reward isn't gonna happen if you don't spend it on anything.
  2. Saying that Manips are a lost cause for aegis is like saying signet-distortion-aegis wasn't a thing.
  3. Now that Mantra of Pain spamming is back in the game, Restorative Mantras can be used in combination with it for some really strong healing over time, basically allowing mesmer to be an effective heal-bot again (yes I know i'm the only one who gives a kitten about heal chrono, don't @ me lol). With that said, I think a few QoL changes could make things feel a bit better: Master of Manipulation should maybe have an ever-so-slight delay on the Aegis triggering (e.g. like ~0.1 second or less), that way Blink can trigger MoM at the mesmer's teleport location rather than at their casting location. This way, you don't have already be on top of your party in order to give them the Aegis. It could allow for some neat advanced tactics in the future. **Speaking of MoM, please return the reduced recharge on Manip skills 😞 Restorative Mantras should also cause Power Return (the ammo skill of Mantra of Recovery) to heal allies in addition to yourself for the amount (also healing the ally for more based on whether they're below 50% or not). It seems there was some forward-thinking with allowing the finish-cast of the heal mantra to heal nearby allies for a reduced amt, but I think this needs to be extended to its ammo skill as well. It could make for an interesting choice between using Well of Eternity for a quick burst-heal that saves everyone from a defeat, or using Mantra of Recovery for more sustained healing and cleanse over time which adds up to more overall healing per minute. If anyone else has other QoL suggestions then feel free to post them below
  4. If you want sustain on scepter, just slot Signet of the Ether. You gain a little bit of healing every time you summon an illusion, and scepter is the best weapon for consistently generating illusions frequently, as per its 3rd auto and Counterspell (skill 2).
  5. Ah, yeah, i'm soooo new. I must not know ANYTHING i'm talking about based on the fact that I made such a simple kittening comparison. 🙄
  6. tbf thief has always has super-easy access to stealth, and Dagger 5 practically already does the exact same thing you described lmfao so maybe not the best comparison, but i understand the point
  7. NEVER CRITICIZE NEVER COMPLAIN JUST CONSOOM PRODUCT
  8. Down with the range nerf, or at the VERY LEAST do NOT apply it to PvE.
  9. Stop being a contrarian. The kneel-range nerf actively makes Deadeye worse to play. Nobody wants this change. No one.
  10. Anet PLEASE DO NOT reduce the range of Knelt Deadeye Rifle skills. That does not make the class better to play in PvE, that makes it worse. If this was a change made due to PvP, then friendly reminder that YOU HAVE A SPLIT-MODE SYSTEM FOR A REASON. Deadeye Rifle fantasy is supposed to be long-range quick-killing. Why is Ranger Longbow allowed to have 1500~1800 range skills but Deadeye suddenly isn't? Nerfing Kneel skill range goes COMPLETELY AGAINST THE CLASS FANTASY.
  11. that vitality is far better for survivability than toughness >.> BIRTHDAY REWARDS >.< /wiki that dungeons are effectively abandonware-content
  12. If we're making WoW comparisons, Revenants are more akin to a Warrior + Warlock + Shaman sorta fusion than anything else. The only commonality they share with DK's is being "the dark plate-wearing class".
  13. So I talked to the Virtuosos guide NPC in Seitung Harbor, and some of yours and his dialogue seem a bit confusing to me. So first off, for those who don't know, Daucus is a Sylvari. Interesting choice by Arenanet, and one that I kinda like. But here's where things start getting weird: So when you ask him what he's doing here in Shing Jea, he says he came to Cantha "not too long ago". That makes sense, nothing out of the ordinary there; he obviously must've came around the same that all the other Tyrian adventurers came. So you ask him about the Virtuoso. When he describes how the specialization works, you reply that it "must have taken years to master". To which Daucus says "It did", before continuing to describe the spec a little bit more. Huh??? What exactly is he saying? Surely a sylvari mesmer couldn't have already mastered the arts of the Virtuoso so soon? Or am I just misinterpreting the dialogue here?
  14. Here's some brief feedback I have after playing Vindi yesterday. I did also write up a rework idea, but I figure that maybe the community here has already done enough of those and I can only imagine how swamped Arenanet's player feedback handlers must be right now, trying to extrapolate actual good feedback from all of the posts here. So i'll just scrap what I wrote in that regard, and instead i'll just leave my shorter, more easily-readable thoughts. Before I do that however, lemme just say first that I am fully in support of the idea of making F2 be a legend swap button for Legendary Alliance Stance, and instead making a new F3 skill for the spec, cuz I honestly hate the current setup. You can basically only play support effectively with it; good luck making any damage builds with this legend. Now then. Nomad's Advance I think is fine functionality-wise, but Battle Stance SHOULD NOT have a cast time; it should be instant cast. The main reason why Shiro's Riposting Shadows works so well as a dodge skill is because there is no startup. Seriously, WHY are we putting cast times on DODGE skills? Stop that! Bad! It kills flow! Spear of Archemorus should be changed to be an Upkeep skill, in which the activation (Spear of Archemorus - Aim) summons Arche to charge up/aim the spear, and the flipover (Spear of Archemorus - Throw) launches it and deals damage based on how much time passed while the Upkeep portion of the skill was active. Note: Making Arche's Elite into an Upkeep skill would at least keep it consistent in usage with its Kurzick equivalent. Otherwise, if the above suggestion is ignored, please at least consider the following: Spear of Archemorus imho takes way too long to charge up; half the time you wanna use it, your enemy might already be dead by the time it fires. And to that end, the strike damage on it seems awfully low considering how long this skill takes to charge up. Since there is an awful lack of CC on this spec, consider giving Reaver's Rage a 2 second Daze, and Drop Urn a 1 second Stun + minor damage. Additionally, you could give Imperial Guard's True Strike skill a 1 sec Knockdown on hit, which gains an additional 1/4th sec of knockdown per block, up to a maximum of 3 seconds. Also, speaking of True Strike, reduce its cast time to 1/2 sec. 3/4 sec is too sluggish. DODGE FEEDBACK The Endurance Cost & Max, and drop speed, of Saint's Shield should be the default cost & speed of the Vindi's dodge in general; it feels the most fluid of all the dodges by a wide margin. Saint's Shield and Imperial Impact would both cost 50 endurance: Both Saint's Shield and Death Drop would increase your Max endurance to 100, with Death Drop now costing 100 and the duration of Forerunner of Death being 10 secs, while Saint's Shield would be usable with 2 endurance charges like a regular dodge skill. Also, the dropping animation of the dodge SHOULD NOT ROOT YOU; this kills flow! The visuals for Mist Unleashed look like they extend farther than the actual hitbox of the skill. Increase the radius of the skill, maybe to 280? Just so that it matches the graphics properly. Why do Mist Unleashed and Eternity's Requiem have Fire damage and Electric damage respectively? (i.e. enemies use the fire death animation when killed by Mist Unleashed, and the electric death anim when killed by Eternity's Requiem) I actually quite like these skills, but this flavoring choice just seems so darned odd and out-of-place. Empired Divided trait should also give increased healing power when a nearby ally is below 50% (instead of just yourself being below 50%).
  15. ...Wait, so NOW people wanna complain about recycled animations? Seriously? This game has been recycling animations for YEARS. Get the hell over it.
  16. Four Winds is by far the best one for me. Meanwhile I find the Halloween festival to be absolute snorefest content :S The Labyrinth may be the best farm in the game, but dear god is it boring to me
  17. Here's some GW2 RPing resources to help you out https://www.guildwars2roleplayers.com/ An Enjin page that's been around since the game's inception, for forum networking, or posting stories/character pages/etc. https://discord.gg/bJamQ3g Living World Roleplayers [LWRP] Discord Server, an excellent networking option to help you find people to roleplay with, also contains regular announcements on player-run roleplaying events There are also two Addon projects currently in the early stages of alpha development that will give users access to an Overlay to store information about their characters and aid in networking with other roleplayers: https://gw2rpc.net/overview GW2 Roleplayers' Companion https://gw2warp.com/ WARP Roleplaying Overlay Hope this helps!
  18. ok now describe Spellbreaker 🙄
  19. i'm not even one of those players and even i can just feel the spite and egotism radiating off of this comment lol
  20. I obviously have nothing against disagreeing or differing opinions. I'm not trying to get on anyone's case over not liking things. The reason WHY i'm pushing this particular point is because I genuinely cannot understand how someone thinks that a freaking Katana with a gunbarrel on it "doesn't fit" the literal premier martial class of GW2. It borders on sounding disingenous, like actually bad feedback. And that kind of feedback could actually end up becoming harmful to the game later down the road.
  21. Okay but how does it not "fit the class" tho
  22. Sounds like your opinion, man. I think Bladesworn is plenty of fun??? I dont see how it doesnt fit the class.
  23. Doing this means you lose Triggerguard and Flicker Step, though
  24. Again. This focus over "roles" in warr elite specs is utterly pointless. Bladesworn literally sustains itself off of rule of cool alone, and that's not an exaggerations nor is it a joke. By your logic, Reaper doesn't have much of an inherent identity, or a "role" either, and yet people love it.
