  1. nah dude wb is strongest 1v1 class there is and countered by noone. You can't beat a wb and if u say otherwise you are a playing wb urself to abuse that kind of power. Every boon or 200 hp heal on wb is the equivalent to a 3 sec block or 3 sec daze on another class. The mat players just haven't figured this out by now but the circlejerkers here have :).
  2. most of the cele complains i've read here were about roamers and smallscale issues but i don't think that's why anet wants to nerf it. I think the problem is more that the meta is like 3 out of 5 people in a squads subgroup are running cele right now and wvw balance is mostly about big group fights. And when one single stat combination is taking over that many roles and is blotting out so many other stat combinations even for big zergs then there might be a slight problem.
  3. if the nerf on cele goes through i would honestly also start with a smaller nerf but a different one from what you proposed. I think simply reducing the condi and boon duration by half instead of completely removing it at the start would be a far better solution and if the nerf would not be enough it could always be nerfed further.
  4. now that older weapons are being looked at and mace 2 (Symbol) is getting a change, could you please change mace 3 (Protector's Strike) too so that the counterattack can't get interrupted before the aegis gets applied any more? Like adding a .25 sec evade would already be enough. This skill blocks only a single hit and the counterattack is pretty much the only thing mace has going for it atm. We don't know how much healing you are adding to the symbol or how much you will reduce the cast time on it but right now mace is in a pretty sad state and could need some more qol.
  5. the nerfs for spear in WvW were not needed at all. and especially spear 4 got nerfed far too hard and is now a rather useless skill. Maybe decrease the cooldown by 20% now too if the dmg stays like it is now? or simply revert at least the dmg nerf in wvw. What was the idea behind those nerfs anyway? was warrior too strong as a dps in zergs? spearmarshalls support was a really balanced skill because it did nothing else other than dmg and had a huge telegraph. All it did was force a dodge or a block. How was that enough for a hard nerf like that? Like maybe shave of 10% dmg but don't just delete it like that. And the nerf that it is enough to dodge/block/invul/blind the initial hit and the skill doesn't go off at all is just ridiculous. This or the extreme dmg nerf alone would have been overkill already but both at the same time??? why would you destroy one of the main selling points for the expac for warrior players like that...
  6. Spearmarshals Support nerf was too much. Either of the two nerfs would have easily been enough or at least make the nerfs pvp only. This skill needed it's dmg in wvw, there is a huge telegraph and it's super easy to dodge. Please reconsider and give the old powerscaling back to it in wvw.
  7. lol noone played deathless courage. It was garbage and was changed because noone ever used that trait anywhere. I have not seen it once on any willbender i have ever fought. Also could you tell me where do you get this -50% strike and condi damage? You have no idea what you are talking about 😄- and then the next guy writes "facts" to this nonsense.🤡 parade 😄
  8. there was an oversight when anet gave people the glyph boxes for the deluxe edition. They put glyph boxes in the deluxe package you could buy but forgot that you could exchange those tools for even more glyphs. Then when they realised their error they quickly fixed it by apparently removing the option to trade the tools at the special merchant for all those who took those tools out of their mailbox from that point of time. Anyone who would buy the tools later would now not have the ability to trade those tools in to get even more glyphs but those who didn't take them out of the mail and preordered before anet made the change to introduce glyphs into the deluxe edition are left with 0 glyphs right now because they too cannot exchange their tools for tools with glyph boxes anymore.
  9. 1. That's the only reason those skills are useable and not trash 2. Then why do you seem to care so much? A spear nerf would only be warranted if warrior turns out to be the best zerg dps by far. Like when there is no comparison to other dps classes and only warrior would be meta. Then and only then would a nerf be justified.
  10. too bad the game is not about what you want. Spear may need some adjustments in pvp but it's absolutely fine in wvw.
  11. it was obv a bug so the only choice now is to remove the extra glyphs from anyone who got six glyphs or give three more glyphs to everyone who bought the deluxe edition and only got three glyphs in total. Sure i'd like to get three more glyphs too but i think giving those extra glyphs to every deluxe edition owner would be a deal that's too good.
  12. which is honestly pretty shite. The skill has a pretty lengthy cast time already and then the heal is still conditional on top? You will practically never use this skill for the heal because of that. It's just a random effect that sometimes is there and sometimes isn't. I mean it is still better than nothing but i'd rather have something that would do a bit more than having the chance to heal you for a fraction of a single autoattack every 20 seconds.

  15. last reply from me because it's pointless. Zealots defense it not a block, e.g. warrior is almost not affected by the defense part of this skill. It's called crashing courage and the virtues are all the f skills, so no you were wrong here swords don't have weakness application on them, why can't you just admit u were wrong with your logic u also can't kite a warrior cause with staff and dagger you have 4 gapclosers. You have no idea what the difference is between e.g. a hammer vindi (class with actual ranged attacks) chasing you and a willbender. Just use the terrain it really not hard, you jump up on some crates and the wb can't hit u nor can it port to u. and the rest is just rambling because wb gets some boons from skills and can +1 you. Like of course wb has to have something it is good at. well +1 is all wb is good for cause it's not a duelist and e.g. thief or vindi are doing the exact same thing and your last point is that wb gets a blind on f1 and a few sec of regen and prot as defense from those two traitlines because core guard gets that too? that is a problem for you? the main defense of the core guard build is in the meditations trait line and wb doesn't use that. edit: one last thing the guy you used the last video from even made a tier list not too long ago and it sure as hell looks like wb is op with the b ranking it got from the same guy
  16. Where do u get 6 blocks? in this build you have only one guaranteed aegis and that is from the activation of f3. That's it. Swords don't give you access to weakness. virtue activation doesn't give you protection only the f3 and ofc you gain boons on guardian because that's how guardian works.. the 3 sec resistance, that you also only get when you trait for it, seems to be too much for you. ...This build is the perfect example to what i said earlier, just block or evade or strip and cc or kite or stealth during the f3 and you won the fight. The fact that wb can jump on you from far away is the only redeeming thing about this build, because every skill except sword 2 and ji have a clear animation and are easy to read and only ji has no animation at all. The build almost no cc, no stealth and is squishy af outside of the f3. The dmg is almost completely melee. Like cool that you more or less know what the skills on wb do but what about it? wb has a single skill that inflicts weakness? and gains some boons for a limited time when you use some skills.. is that op? it's not like whirling light doesn't have a huge animation and isn't easy to interrupt, just like greatsword 2. This build also has no long duration blocks or immunites at all so it can be bursted from 100 to 0 at all times. If wb would be op we'd see it at mat but it is to easily countered and offers to little utility for that to happen atm. and idk why you even bring up those guardian builds, your statement was that wb has the same defense as core guard but... like the hammer guardian build has the meditation traitline that is not used on wb?? so how does wb have the same defense as core guard then when they use different traitlines??? and random stuff like running away is always an option? what does that even mean? like every class has ports or mobility spells so in your theory every class can always run away
  17. so first of all a cele battle between two noobs in a wvw setting in the video doesn't explain anything and is not relevant for pvp. the engage potential and the burst potential are the only real strengths of willbender and even here there are classes that do the same things just as well. Where is the op defense you speak of? the 105 sec cd renewed focus? Then you have no access to quickness and the burst is that much weaker that even a grandma can react to it. Other than that the only defense is the f3 skill which grants you stab and aegis, but the stab lasts only for 4 seconds and gets only renewed when the wb is able to hit something. kiting (oh no swiftness prevents me from kiting omega kek moment), evading or invisibility or blocking or any kind of invulnerability or even strips/corrupts and cc are all options here to survive or even fight against the only time when a wb is powerful. After the f3 has worn off there is nothing left, ragdoll the wb around with cc or burst him back or just outsustain the weak wb sustain. Like for a current warrior build you have staff block, sword block, fullcounter, heal stance, balanced stance, banner for barrier or superspeed and shake it off to cleanse the immob if the wb should even hit you with it. You have so many options to fight a wb it is laughable. The wb has no long duration spammable blocks or immunites like many other classes have. The bulk of it's dmg is melee only (try kiting a scepter cata or hammer vindi and compare that to willbender, but swiftness is supposedly a problem that doesn't let you kite kek), it doesn't have stealth and it has almost no cc. Boons are the defense of a guardian and in pvp you have almost no access to boon duration so you won't achieve any long duration prot uptime like in wvw as easily without heavy investment into defensive traits or skills. Btw what is the defense potential of a core guardian? How do you have problems against core guardians? Do you mean support core guardians?
  18. obv lol. Wb is far from being meta and the only thing it's really good at is bashing noobs. That's why there are so many complains about it. This thread is a testimony of that. Just look at your comment, it's just circlejerk complaining about something that you cannot even put to words. Why is wb or guardian op in your opinion? If you want to discuss something then bring some real arguments.
  19. the only change that is needed as a buff for guard is the nerf of "mace head crack". A 3 second cc that crits for 4k+ dmg with practically no cast time and can even be used twice if traited for it is stupid broken. Thief can cc for 7 seconds every 17 seconds without having to use any initiative or utility skills, that's the warriors dream... also why was fullcounter nerfed to kitten when skills like this are still allowed to deal that much dmg while offering such a monstrous cc. And to top it of the skill has even greater range than melee so the user can't accidentally miss it.
  20. there are several skills that anet just forgot about when rebalancing them. "mace head crack" for example also needs a competetive split. It's a 3 second daze with almost no cast time and for some reason has a longer range than melee AND anet forgot to take the dmg off of this skill when every other cc skill got it's dmg reduced to 0.. this skill still has a 1.0 coefficient and easily deals 2.5k dmg without any boons on the user. If you trait for it to use it twice you can cc your target for 7 seconds on a 17 second cooldown without even using any initiative or any utility skills at all. Obv stolen skills are unknown to most players and apparently also to anet but that doesn't change the fact that this skill should not deal damage or have an actual casting time with a visible animation or both.
  21. give spellbreaker the unnerfed version of winds of disenchantment back and you have your counter to blobs.
  22. Please let us move while using the burst skill. Give spear two and spear five a flashier animation (spear is really lacking the "wow that looks awesome" factor) and increase the aftershock damage on spear two significantly (like double the damage). Give spear five 1200 range, give it a bigger aoe and reduce the cast time of spear four and also increase the aoe of the projectile by a bit.
  23. It's basicly the guardian longbow three skill and that skill is already human excrement because of the long cast time and slow projectile speed. The cast time on the fourth skill for warrior has to be decreased by a lot. It should not be higher than .25 seconds and the aoe should be slightly bigger too.
  24. maybe remove rush animation on spear 2 and replace it with superspeed for like 2 seconds. The skill should do the same as it does now except the movement part. You can still run through allies/enemies with the same spear holding animation. The only difference would be that you'd have superspeed for a short time instead of rushing in a fixed direction. Right now the animation is so slow and so clunky it's really not fun to use edit: i like the idea that spear would give guardian a dps weapon for zerg play in wvw so guardian can finally have a dps role in a squad (aside from cele firebrands)... if spear two gets fixed that may be possible
