  1. Superior Rune of the Pack Superior Rune of the Chronomancer +25 Power +25 Power +5% Boon Duration +35 Precision +50 Power +50 Power +10% Boon Duration +65 Precision +100 Power +100 Power +125 Precision +10% Boon Duration TOTAL: Power +175 +175 Precision +125 +100 Boon Duration +15% +10% Bonus 6 for Boon Duration has the same strength as Bonus 4 (+10%) If this is changed to +20% instead (equivalent to 65 Precision Bonus 4 -> 125 Precision Bonus 6) then the difference would be acceptable. Any % in Bonus 6 is a trap until this changes. Although percentages are very powerful and +20% would be too big. This is seen in many other % stats like +10% Condition Duration on Bonus 4 and 6 being the same, and potentially having the same issue in the future. Since every 15 points of Concentration adds 1% to boon duration, another solution would be to nerf % runes by attributing them +25, +35, +50, +65, +100, +125 Concentration for their respective Bonus tier. Same could apply to Expertise (% Condition Duration). This solution is already working fine for Precision (% Critical Chance) and Ferocity (% Critical Damage). Another thing to point at, that's related to the Rune changes, is that many of them have boring differences like Superior Rune of the Holosmith Superior Rune of the Spellbreaker TOTAL Power +175 +175 Precision +125 +100 Vitality +100 +125
  2. Enter Simulation +2 Bronze WvW Rank (150-619) +1 Completed wood division the previous week. +5 Your world has the second most War Score in the current Skirmish. Total: 8 Pips / Tick Participation T6: +195 Reward Track Progress Points Guild Enhancement: +10% WvW Reward Track Enrichment: +5% Total: 224 Reward Track Progress Points / Tick Results Goal: 20.000 Reward Track Points Ticks total: 54 Time total: 4 hours 30 minutes Participation points: 12.109 Instant points: 8.500 Pips total: 440 Chest rank: Gold 1 earned That's if we start from scratch (0 pips earned, wooden chest 1) with a low ranked account. That's way faster than the 8h 35min from prior to the update. My previous advice to get Gifts of Battle quickly was to play WvW 4-6h a week with boosters, get dailies from at least 3 days, get weeklies, and that would be enough for 3 GoB in 2 weeks. Let's average to 1.5 GoB / week or 30.000 track points. Now you can get there with no boosters! If you check above, the new results, that's almost the minimum you can get, and it gets easier to more you play. With the above newbie setup, in 8h 35min by claiming Platinum 5 you get 42.600 track points. More than 2 Tracks instead of 1!
  3. Here is an example: - Receive 11 pips on average - Diamond chest requires 55 pips to complete - Diamond chest will give 1750 progress reward in 5 ticks or 25 min - Participation T6 gives 195 progress per tick, or 975 in 25 min - That's 2725 progress every 25 min - Full Reward Track requires 20.000 progress - 20000/2725=7.33 - After 2h 55min (7x25) you get 19075 progress and need 925 more - To finish the 925, you can get 5x195=975 from participation in 25 min - That means another Diamond chest with 1750 progress Full Track in 3h 20min (or 200min), with 1800 extra (21800 total) Average 21800/200=109 progress/min 20000/109=183.5 min (3h 4min) on average to finish a track in the long term 195+100% with Reward track modifiers (I didn't include the Black Lion that's +25% more) you get 390 progress per tick instead. 390x5=1950 from modified T6 participation every 25min 1950+1750=3700 combined with the new instant rewards every 25min 20000/3700=5.40 round up, 6x 25min=150 or 2h 30min for 22200 progress 3700/25=22200/150=148 progress/min 20000/148=135.1 min (2h 16min) required on average (long-term) to complete a track with +100% increased progress This is assuming the potions are unaffected by the modifier
  4. I tried to find a very cursed calendar starting the week with Friday for WvW purpose. For those who do not know, new re-link doesn't happen after 8 of 9 weeks, but the rule is the last Friday of odd months. I call those two months Seasons, there are 6 every year, and this is why the months are weird in those calendars. Since this has to be manually triggered by Anet, sometimes it doesn't happen when expected. Well, it's not easy to find, and I made my modifications to it, so now I'm sharing. Images Calendar Whole Year 2023 Calendar By-monthly June-July, "Season 3" of this year This last one was made with this old website, that says is "Compatible with Windows 7" πŸ˜‚ Short text version Friday, 27 January 2023 - 5 months ago - Season 1 February-March Friday, 31 March 2023 - 3 months ago - Season 2 April-May Friday, 26 May 2023 - a month ago - Season 3 June-July Friday, 28 July 2023 - in 17 days - Season 4 August-September Friday, 29 September 2023 - in 3 months - Season 5 October-November Friday, 24 November 2023 - in 4 months - Season 6 December-January Discord Timestamps codes that will automatically adjust to your time-zone For EU For NA For Developers I've made my bash script to get those timestamps. You can adjust the year or the region. Free to re-use and modify.
  5. I'm trying to redesign https://gw2skirmish.github.io/#w2013 to make it easier to understand the state of the match, with less weird numbers. Numbers will be replaced by colourful bars and the whole ladder is visible. The colour of the bar indicates which colour that team will be next week. (yellow is blue...) If the meter is depleted, then that team is locked at 3rd place and goes tier-down. If the meter is filled, then that team is locked at 1st place and goes tier-up. The second place can only be determined once both the first and third place have been locked. I am hesitant on 2 designs: sort the list by next week result (current victor is at the top) https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1122453115128524862/1122453215393370253/image.png sort the list by this week result (always green, blue, red) https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1122453115128524862/1122453315989557298/image.png Any preference? Or do you have other ideas to make look better, easier to read?
  6. The EU worlds are incorrect on my previous post. I forgot to double check with other sources. Any ways, here is the picture: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/872791478345281588/1122188886509105304/7uHiLAP8gVAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg.png It's messy! It's not like this in 1up-1down situation, but this shows how the "first week" randomness applies to the first week after beta instead of resuming where it left off. The 4 weeks to adjust the power level of teams on the ladder is starting over.
  7. I think he means the tier, not the team. On the first week of a new link, your team will get assigned a position on the ladder which is not related to previous week since some teams are newly linked. @TheGrimm.5624 believes this is affected by the old Glicko rating. Might be, not sure. I'd say that whatever the end result of the last non-beta week should have given the current ladder. But if I remember correctly, it's not always the case. I've tried to find any website that would record archive of the Ladder, but none that I know are doing exactly that. https://kills.werdes.net - only records kills and deaths https://next.werdes.net/ - uses live data from api, therefore no archive https://gw2mists.com/ - same thing, live data, no archive https://wvwstats.com - last match history from 2018 http://gw2stats.com/ - has matchup history, but only records warscore instead of vp. All these tools are archaic or unfit to answer this question, very sadly. I guess, I know what tool needs to be developed now. Still, able to give how the ladder looked like for Week 22 (03-10 June) according to the last website in the list. (For brevity, only the Hosting world will be listed, sorted by Green, Blue, Red) NA-T1 Sea of Sorrows, Fort Aspenwood, Maguuma NA-T2 Dragonbrand, Sanctum of Rall, Jade Quarry NA-T3 Gate of Madness, Ehmry Bay, Blackgate NA-T4 Stormbluff Isle, Tarnished Coast, Darkhaven EU-T1 Gandara, Fissure of Woe, Riverside EU-T2 Aurora Glade, Whiteside Ridge, Underworld EU-T3 Piken Square, Jade Sea, Vabbi EU-T4 Ring of Fire, Ruins of Surmia, Gunnar's Hold EU-T5 Blacktide, Far Shiverpeaks, Seafarer's Rest Will try to make an image soon for better clarity.
  8. I had fun exploring with my 3 accounts the different leaders that were all mixed in random teams. Cool [ff] leading btw! The WvW was WvW. Nothing different in my eyes. And I truly believe the sole intention of Anet was to see if 1up-1down works. It does work. Some bug was discovered with the queue. I think there was also the Locks bug at reset. Those will probably get fixed in the next Beta. Can't wait to see how the Alliance system will work with - Single-member guilds - 400+ member guilds - Casual PvX guilds
  9. Since there was no "second chance" on the second week, I'd wonder if the first time choosing was done correctly. Once you've selected a WvW Guild, you would follow it for the entirety of the season (can go up to 8 weeks, this time it was 2 weeks) and have the same team with the same allies (random pugs, other guilds) for the same amount of time. Selecting a Guild for WvW is not just representing it, but make sure to have it checked in the World Restructuring tab - there was also a visual bug sadly.
  10. If you are a solo player, you won't perish. (You can always use Waypoints πŸ˜†) You'll experience new content from new guilds/alliances, until one of them resonates with your principles. It'll take time to rotate through a few of them, but eventually people with same mentality will gather together. Someone, one of them, will have the initiative to create the "Alliance Of Solo Guilds" and from that day on, you'll play with the same people you'll always know. (+ other randoms from the new Team, that may join you) In the Beginning, There was Chaos In the beginning, Devs created the Worlds and the Tiers. The squad was without group and guild, and pugs were over the face of the mists. And the Spirit of Alliance was hovering over the face of the players.
  11. I'm not really into Server Pride. I changed World once. French is my native language and had a French server. Then I moved out of my country and I'm speaking English daily, so I wanted to reflect that in-game as well. Same with Guilds. Joined a guild when I was level 20 in 2012. That merged with a bigger one when Guild Halls were announced. I learned the existence of WvW later and joined a guild that specialized into that, literally the first one that asked me to join. Then my server transfer happened and joined first WvW guild from there. Then it got merged because it was too small. Now it split to another server and I stayed with the part that didn't migrate. 5 different guilds in 11 years. I feel like I just go with the flow. I don't like paying Gems to leave behind a World I socially integrated and start over. But I do like the re-links that bring new flavour of commanders and a varied chat experience every now and then. I won't move "because of my server". There are ways to play wvw in different scales: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50. But the only Real change you can force is on yourself. You know the saying: So you have to adapt. On yourself. Go to more camps. Walk slower. Have a defensive strategy rather than an offensive. Don't to move to another team/world/squad/group to get easy better results. They are not the result of Your actions. What you'll improve on yourself will reflect on your group/squad/world/team.
  12. While the API is lacking, the informations can be easily deduced. That's how I developed these tools: https://gw2skirmish.github.io/ I have recently included a link to see the current map on wvwintel.com and added the new Beta names. https://gw2skirmish.github.io/gw2claims/ You can see an image I made with the Next match prediction. I also had it backward a few times, because on the API it's sorted by Red, Blue, Green in the Mist War score window it's sorted Blue, Red, Green the part to Travel to Borderlands is Red, Blue, Green, but the ladder is actually Green, Blue, Red. WOAH!
  13. It's not very bothering to be in the winning team. Imbalance exists with old servers + links. But you chose to be on the bullying team. Imbalance exists with this beta. But you've been randomly assigned to a weaker team. Imbalance will still exist with the finalized World Restructure, but to a less extent due to granularity and other analysed statistics. WvW IS IMBALANCED ON PURPOSE. Look at EBG camps: the sawmill is in an open area, while the quarry has narrow access, each facing another team. It's literally Rock-Paper-Scissors. Don't ever expect to beat Rock with Scissors.
  14. You can see blue dots of players from your Home World (and maybe linked worlds as well? Not sure) This bug should probably get fixed in the future, but that is not the goal at the moment for the current Beta. Next Friday, the Beta ends. You will return to your previous Home + Linked Worlds and the bug shouldn't be present.
  15. Too low amount of damage. Those enemy players imploded from being tagged by 50. I think you need to deal at least 1% damage to count, also valid in pve. If enemy has 20k hp, you wont get credit for less than 200 damage. GOOD NEWS: Supporting your allies gets you credits too. Instead of trying to hit with 1 skill, share some boons with 4 other allies and get 5x chances to win bags. Your build is very focused on stealing boons from enemies and granting them to yourself. If they don't have boons (often the case when you die 0.5 sec after first hit) then you don't get much value. Scourge is good and very cool in zerg vs zerg. Those single players should be ignored. TIPS: Stripper Scourges will get heavily nerfed next patch. Harbinger Quickness is getting popularity as Quickness became a rare boon in WvW (Herald nerf). You can throw your Elixirs on the left of the squad, throw your Elixir on the right of the squad, have some Shroud time in the middle, and everyone gets boons, you still do damage with wells, some strips with weapons. You'll just do less corrupt. But corrupt will get nerfed any ways, so why betting on a losing horse? BOON BALL, Buy yours today, Be rich tomorrow!
  16. I'm a Rock-Paper-Scissors player. I main Rock. My friend mains Paper. He's better at the game and always wins our matches. But it's okay because my Rock build is OP against Scissors. Literally undefeated by any pleb that plays scissors.
  17. At the first reset, people were wondering "which guilds are playing with me? which guilds are we facing", because you know when you'll have content if you have a Night guild for example. Or if there's a GvG guild around you can expect some good fights. As said above, there's 2 ways of checking the claims: the held ones (like keep) and the flipped ones (like camps). If you (alone) flips a lot of camps, you'll likely have +1 claim score per tick. A guild that will stay Home border to defend its Garrison will also have only +1, since they hold the keep only on that map. You will have contributed as much as that guild in "covering grounds" for your team in the mists (aka claimed territory). The first goal I had in mind, when making this tool, is to be able to share with others that "This Famous Guild" is with us and we could join their Discord to participate in their leads. In EU Stonefall, Whiteside Ridge Intelligence has a strong presence, and according to the name, it's probably a large Community, Alliance-like guild. If you play against them, you'll know that if you see one, the others might not be far, and you could set up a fight, or run for your life. If you play with them, you might want to check if you can join their Discord, see how social they are, and maybe transfer server (or join their Alliance for the next Beta) if you prefer playing with a lot of people. "Pushing lower" might not be the best words I should have used. "Pushing higher guilds that are actively claiming objectives" (therefore showing an online presence) would be better explained. Are you interested in joining that Solo In My Guild that plays WvW 30 min per week with a score of 2? Probably not. Your guild that plays 2x a week probably claims enough structure to have like 100 Claim score. That's enough to get higher in the list, above the all the Solo Guilds with 1-3 points. Yet your guild will likely be under a Community guild that provides near-24h entertainment, which would be more attractive for the majority with their 1000 Claim score. It is not random: the more you do, the more you get.
  18. Above answer is super correct. On the other hand, if you already have a Garrison T3 claimed, you won't claim anything ever on that map, even though your guild might be active. Both methods of counting have their advantages and inconveniences. I haven't worked on the Flip Score yet. I'm lazy 😞 and reset is soon for EU... I might just deal with it during weekend. Any ways, those numbers aren't 100% reliable as it takes about 40 sec to process data, then script goes on sleep for 5 min before repeating, so it has a cycle that's longer than 5 min and I might miss a capture on rare occasions. Also, it's relying on Anet's API to check the map, which sometimes it gets stuck for some reason. Finally, since this script is run on my machine, I might stop it for some times while modifying the code. But it gives a very good approximation (if your claim was not up while I was down, was it really a worthy contribution?)
  19. https://gw2skirmish.github.io/gw2claims/ updated with next matches prediction for Europe (I forgot NA, oops, will do later updated!) 20. That would be nice, yeah! But, I would need access to each player's API key for that. I'm not sure I want to do that. https://gw2mists.com/leaderboards/guild This website provides that kind of information. You can register your guild there (guild leader has to register the guild, and each member has to register that guild as theirs). This is my recommendation. Just for clarification, the claim score shown adds +1 every tick, so it's not exactly "flips". But I could re-code it that way. I was thinking of it. But I'm not sure it gives more information. Maybe you can only be considered active if you flip something, because you don't need to be online to hold something. Maybe I'll add both stats next week. --- I have to reveal, to my own disappointment, that the app is not automated yet. I have messed up something on GitHub Actions and sometimes it adds correctly the new data, but then sometimes it would reload a previous state and enter a not-very-useful loop. In the mean time, I am manually uploading online the correct data processed by my computer though.
  21. Castle Lord is a Legendary type of target. I actually find that a bit annoying as I Tab-Target often to find a suitable enemy. Players should have priority over NPC, and this is the case for all other enemy type, except Legendary. I'm assuming the priority for Boons will apply similarly: Closest party member, squad member, legendary ally, player, npc. So to be able to boon the lord, you'll need to be out of a squad (or max 4 members in it). This makes it harder for survival. Stonemist Castle being the neutral central objective has equal chance to be owned by any team, doing the same trick. I think it's niche enough to not involve dev time on it, at least for the moment. Enjoy your bags πŸ™‚
  22. These numbers are "claim scores", to help show who is contributing to claiming objectives in the team. (and helps to understand which team is the main one for a guild) If you have a tower claimed on red map, and a camp on blue map, that's 2 claim scores. I set the script to check the map every 5 min, like in-game tick, but that doesn't work as intended and instead it's checking every 15 min approximately. So if you are still claiming those 2 objectives for 1 hour, maybe your guild claim score will be 8 (assuming a check every 15 min) or maybe 24 (if it works as intended every 5 min)
  23. That's interesting! I'm a EU player, and this is one of my account, on 2-3 Green Reaper's Corridor (world id 12012) and we are facing 2-3 Red Giant's Rise (12011) and 2-3 Blue Grenth's Door (12015) https://imgur.com/ZtnawMN I have just found this picture that shows the NA teams, if it can be trusted: https://imgur.com/FgCNZMl I actually didn't know what the NA teams were named, so this is new for me. I'm a bit disappointed to see that they are the same names for EU and NA, as it creates more confusion compared to the older names. Matches starting with 2- are EU. Matches starting with 1- are NA. You must be talking about 1-4 Blue Giant's Rise (world id 11011) vs 1-4 Green Thornwatch (11006) and 1-4 Red Griffonfall (11007) As you can see NA new world ids are 110XX, while EU new worlds ids are 120XX In the old system, NA is 10XX EU English is 20XX, French is 21XX, German is 22XX and Spanish is 23XX. The new teams are 5 digits instead of 4 digits, as it adds a leading 1.
  24. This website takes all the parameters that influences the pips gain: https://gw2.limitlessfx.com/wvw/pips.php - Commitment (wooden chest previous week) - Commander (of a squad of 5) - Public Commander (of a squad of 10) - World Placement (in the current skirmish) - Personal Rank (wxp) Getting inside a squad without being the commander will not influence how many pips you earn. By following, you'll surely get some wxp from killing a player (or supporting with boons and heals an ally that killed a player) or capturing objectives, and those will keep your participation at Tier 6 for 10 minutes and more. What you'll gain from being in a squad, is the boon priority, but if team composition is not optimized for it, then distance priority is good enough, which works if there's no squad. Maybe the commander wanted to have a squad for his guild/friends and check their own stats without the logs being polluted by randoms.
  25. Hi there! # https://gw2skirmish.github.io/gw2claims/ I have made an automatic listing of guilds sorted per team and per match. It's looking periodically at the claims on all 4 maps and adds a score to the guild. The higher the score, the higher on the list. The reason is that there are a lot of casual guilds to be pushed at the bottom, while main WvW ones should appears towards the top. If claims happen in different teams because the guild member is split, it will list that guild also in the other team, but with a smaller score. Ctrl + F : [TALE] I can see, in this moment, 24 claim score on 2-1 Green Skrittsburgh 59 claim score on 2-5 Red Dragon's Claw (main) It's ugly and does not have a reset system implemented for Friday yet, but that will be a problem for Later-Me I hope this can be useful. Let me know what you think of it, and if you have any other idea for tools like this. I'll eventually integrate it better with gw2skirmish, it's already generated from the same script, Wanted to have it out in the wild in time to be still relevant with the wvw beta # https://gw2skirmish.github.io/ This is my attempt at visualizing the WvW score differently. I was often wondering if we had already lost or won a match by Thursday but couldn't find the answer easily on other websites. I have more ideas how to improve the readability for future updates. Also thinking about implementing an Objective Advisor, that would analyze the current map and the score and give a recommendation on which structure to capture for efficient PPT. I'm sure I could also make it recommend to feed a certain opponent team to make the 3rd opponent lose more score. And last feature I'm thinking of implementing in the future would be like a Media Player of the 4 maps, that would record any capture and would allow to review what happened during the night for example. I'm using a Shell script to generate a simple static html page, because I love the blazingly speediness of it. Also... I don't know how to code properly, so I'll probably learn Python at some point and rewrite it. If you have any suggestion or wish to help, let me know πŸ™‚ Have a good day!
