  1. The fractal is just garbage, at least the final battle. Annoying but not of a threat if you know what to do. Still one of their worst implementation and maybe a reason why they stopped shipping a fractal in the last 12 months.
  2. I'm here since 2013. Was speed running dungeons, fracs & raids and one of the first people to have the fractal god title. If you talk about supports having to take toughness you're not competent and we are done with the discussion here. Sorry mate, but you belong to another league. That's no problem but please don't spread nonsense and just enjoy your casual content. I won't judge you because of that. Have fun in the game.
  3. @sokeenoppa.5384After reading his posts in other part of the forums I think we all here should agree explicitly that he is not a very experienced player in terms of builds and instanced content. His 1k CM kps are not true because that would have been impossible for him to obtain since he hadn't had any few weeks ago. Also I'm missing lots of logic in his posts, here and in the usual discussion forum. For me personally it's a waste of time to argue with him.
  4. Many people are very happy that he left considering he was responsible - at least he represented the issue - for the 0 hash bans that were totally unjustified and had to be solved via an GDPR inquiry from a player. Astonishing he was still with the company after the layoffs.
  5. Since you only can have 69 chars on one account and wood respawns in a one hour cycle it's highly debatable that you'll achieve those high gold numbers. Running the pc the whole day with this routine is stupid at best. I would rather farm crypto currencies than letting my pc running GW2 for 24h/7d to get wood. Just so you know aint the max 71? EditIf I remember right the veteran reward you got before hot +1 t the hot ultimate +1 and the pof ultimate +1 was added ontop of the 69 you can buy as baseWell, if 69 or 71, the difference shouldn't matter. Additionally I doubt that people were aiming for that on purpose and in significant numbers.
  6. Yes, and you could also play SW for 24 hours a day. We can discuss this topic back and forth till oblivion but it won't change Anet's mind because the effect is too little compared to the fact that we have maps like Tarir, Dragonfall and a SW meta that is up for over 4 years now where materials are generated in so much larger margins than the chopping. Those people are a drop in the bucket but I guess the complaints would only stop if Anet was revealing data. Even then I would expect people to claim: "But but but..."
  7. The annoying bosses that got molten within one minute or less with people in proper gear? The essence on Siren's Landing was and is pointless and wasn't used regularly by players at all.
  8. Since you only can have 69 chars on one account and wood respawns in a one hour cycle it's highly debatable that you'll achieve those high gold numbers. 9. Report, move on and if he's still there since 3 years it's rather not botting. And you were told that those actions are not violating the game rules if those players are responding to a GM. You can also prove by yourself how rewarding this kind of "afk farming" is if you put a char on such spots yourself. I warn you beforehand: It's not worth the time wasting. Nothing has been bad, gotten worse or will get worse in terms of those farms. The economy is stable and only disturbed by big actions from the company like Istan farming, Tarir multiloot and introducing new items (for example legendary weapons) that need lots of materials. The fun part is: All of the big problems GW2 actually has have nothing to do with economy. We are surviving wood and AFK farming since years now and none of those actions have had a serious influence on playing the game or even making money in the game and buying shiny stuff.
  10. One account with 69 chars makes less than 10g per day and it is creating gold which is affected by the 15% fee from the trading post. In raids and fractals you are creating gold out of thin air which is worse for the game if we are nitpicking. Also, with daily fractals alone you & I gain much more gold than such wood farmer in about the same time. And? You get your gold by raids/fractals and they are chopping wood for it. That's absolutely fine since Arenanet created the game like this and that you can do different tasks to get some rewards. Because it was told to you and others hundreds of times now: Players get sanctioned if they are reported and violating the game rules. If they are reported and don't violate game rules they won't get a punishment. Easy as it is. And again: It is not AFK farm if they are replying to a GM that comes around and whispers to them. They already know because the topic is not new to them. See above, they made clear statements of what is allowed and what not. You don't make the rules, they do and even if you feel this isn't right they won't change it because the issue is a non-issue for the game and only because there are a handful of players - that in addition predominantly have no real insights on botting - not liking those players they won't take action. Sorry to say but you have to accept that if you like it or not.
  11. Very optimistic view and in my opinion unrealistic as hell. I'd rather go with Thornwolf on this one since the last 10 months are supporting his statement much more than vague comments from a company that has always been terrible in communication with their players.
  12. If that were true elder wood would be worthless but on the contrary the prices are totally fine. Elder wood farming exists since years and there's 0 evidence of a destruction of the auction house which implies the reverse conclusion that this farming method has no significant impact on the economy at all.Let's face it: 1 account with 69 chars only harvesting wood in that spot means 690 elder wood logs (69 x 10 logs) which is less than 10g. I don't know how fast it takes with a good pc, ssd and common stable internet connection to run through all of them but I doubt it's going to be very much faster than 30s per char which means round about 30 minutes. I'm hurting the economy much more running T4 fractals and generating more gold (15-25g+) out of thin air that is not affected by anything in contrast to the wood which is affected by the 15% fee of the trading post. The whale thing is a whole different story and as much as I respect Sam what he has done for the GW2 community I think stuff like reddit exchange and known supervisors should be targeted by Arenanet and sanctioned harshly. But it seems that they don't have an interest here (we could add: as well) since it would mean that they have to increase drop rates of all super rare items - mostly infusions - and allow higher values in the TP.But even here the question is: Is that a big problem of the game at the moment? I would say drop rates are but I know lots of people that disagree with me because they like the lottery effect. So, overall not a big thing for the community, I guess. In the end I'm more afraid of the direction this game is going to and that has nothing to do with the trading post or market values of ingame items.
  13. No, I said that no matter what time of day or night I go there they are always there. And maybe they think you’re botting as well since no matter what time of day or night they go there, you are always there. Why are you defending the botter so aggresively like OP is accusing you? Because he as a player has no proof that his observations are definitive bots. The only thing he can do is assume since he has 0 tools or competences to check the backbone. People have been accused of botting since aeons in PvP games and even myself have been insulted in several competitive matches in the past where the skill difference between me and the other player was so big he was just not able to realize what was happening. In most of the cases you have no evidence or possibility to convict somebody of using a bot.
