  1. I double post for an update: - I have post processing always off - I scaled blur to minimum - I zoomed out to max possible With that, I was able to manage it without needing a bucket ( πŸ˜› @Agathon.6578) So thanks again All πŸ’š
  2. Thanks All for your feedback. I will try all what you say later. I keep you posted. πŸ™‚
  3. I can't do the first instance, because it gets me sick a first time at entering the pit, and after that, the fight against the creature is impossible as I must stop watching the screen to prevent the worst from happening... Was it really necessary that already the first instance has twirling visual effects and such? That's so unfair... I paid for this expansion and can't even reach the new area because I can't do the first instance... Incredible... Can I get my money back? Sorry for my reaction, but that's really upsetting. Am I the only one with this problem?
  4. Thank you very much All, my problem is solved with confirmation that the google authenticator will cover both linked accounts under one code. And sorry again if I have not been clear explaining what was my worry. Issue is closed. 🀩
  5. Is the code generated by the google authenticator working for both the GW and the GW2 accounts (since they share same email)?
  6. I have a GW account and a GW2 account linked together. So that's just one email for two different accounts. Sorry, I said it wrong with account names.
  7. Ok, I'm sorry, I probably explain poorly, but I still don't understand how to proceed. I try to describe again. So, I have 2 accounts linked under one unique common email address "user@address.xxx", with one unique common password "whatever". Beside, I have one player ID for each account: "NameAcc1.xxxx" and "NameAcc2.yyyy" Now I want to set up the google authenticator for the two accounts. I open google authenticator on my phone, I click to add an account and then google asks me to for two data: "account name" and "key". I don't know what to use for those: - The account name: is it my email address? Or my player ID? Or something else? - The key, is it my password? Or something else? Edited to strike through wrong input. Sorry for this.
  8. But they don't speak about the specific case of a GW and a GW2 accounts linked together under the same unique email address? Or did I miss it somewhere? Also, I have another question: There is something I don't get clearly out of this guide. The "key" or "QR code" required by the google authenticator to add an account, what are they? Do I have to get it generated somewhere? Sorry to be slow... ☺️
  9. Hello All I have my GW and GW2 accounts linked, meaning that I have two different keys associated to same unique email address. My question: Is it still possible to use google authenticator in such a case? Can the authenticator manage having two different keys under one address? Thanks in advance πŸ™‚
  10. Thank you All, I did just as described and got helped. Issue is closed. πŸ™‚
  11. Thank you guys. I tried that already but received nothing, not even the usual confirmation that the email was received. Is this normal?
  12. Hi All Strange case happening to me today: I want to open a trouble ticket and I can't... Here what is happening: 1. On the page to open a ticket, it asks me to login. 2. I login. 3. To login sends me automatically to my account page. 4. Once there, I click support menu for the ticket and... I'm sent back to point 1., on ticket interface, where it asks me again to login. Repeat 1. to 4. endlessly... I'm stuck in this loop and with no way to open the ticket Any idea? What do I do wrong? Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance
  13. I posted already in the other thread, but I'm not sure in what one is the right place to be, so I post here too. I run the game under windows 10 and nothing comes after launcher, not even the login windows. I have tried to add "-dx9" in command line, but it didn't solve the problem. Is there a fix for that by now, so that I can start the game at least? Thanks for feedback
  14. I'm sorry if this question has been asked many times already, but this thread has by now 13 pages and I don't know where to look to find the answer I need. I run the game under windows 10 and nothing comes after launcher, not even the login windows. I have tried to add "-dx9" in command line, but it didn't solve the problem. Is there a fix? Thanks for feedback
  15. Sorry for double posting, but just to update about the situation status: It seems that the problem is linked to the outpost Noble's Folly. When I select one of my toon who is not parked in this outpost but elsewhere, like Eye of the North for example, then it works trouble free.
  16. Hello Situation: I log in OK, I select a char OK, I get to see my char standing in outpost, everything absolutely normal, and then suddenly after some seconds: pooofff! Games disappears from screen. It has closed. Additional info: - No error notification - Game was working normal 3 days ago. Any idea what can be the reason? Thanks a lot for any hints/support you could provide. EDITED FOR UPDATE: After I was able to enter the game via a toon who was parked in a different location than Noble's Folly, I forced the location by map travelling there. Loading time to enter was very long but it works. Once so far, I then swapped to my char who was parked there and this time it worked. Issue is fixed that way. I have not a clue what was happening. Admin/Mod feel free to remove the topic.
  17. None for me. Each of my char is a personality associated with race & class. Even if it would be possible with tokens, if I want to change race and/or class, then it's a different "person", so I rather create new. πŸ™‚
  18. I believe there are lot of different reasons combining together, but to my eyes, there are 3 mains points: - There is a new generation of players: they play many games at same time and want to go fast to end game and get best stuff immediately. If it doesn't go fast enough, it's "grinding" and they don't like it. The existing "old" MMOs have contents that match more or less well with this new approach/demand and unfortunately, GW2 isn't supposed to go fast, so causing lot of "grinding". - The last LW episodes were no real contents. They were more like big events, and since there was no exp pack... - WvW and PvP have been completely ignored causing a big amount of players to stop GW2 until something is done. And unfortunately, still yet, nothing has been done.
  19. For me personally, the point of the speed to help PvE new players running faster isn't valid. In PvE, it just needs to get corresponding skills and/or food to run faster, what comes automatically while leveling up and doesn't take very long. And there are all the other mounts (6!) out of which the raptor that can be obtained pretty much immediately. In WvW, the warclaw got this ability to speed up at a later step, because of the too big gap between the speed of WvW players who didn't had the warclaw and those who had, creating an impossible situation for squads and roamers. That's was the only reason for that warclaw ability. Also, don't forget that this ability is one that takes some time to acquire (many other abilities have priority in WvW before to bother about speeding up others around). To my eyes, that the warclaw isn't intended for use in PvE doesn't create any gap of any sort, simply because PvE has no need for that ability that is covered by other means (and obtained much faster than in WvW). Now don't misunderstand me: I have nothing against the idea. Why not. Just, in my opinion, there is no point.
  20. To answer OP's statement: I strongly disagree. I play since beta. During 5 years, I had a job swallowing my life. I didn't care and was enjoying GW2 very much. During working days, I could afford about 30 to 50 minutes every 2 to 3 days, and not much more over weekend due to other sides of real life (family, friends, sports, ...). It has never been a problem to me. The only difference to those who were playing more often than me, was that I was late behind them. So what? No worries at all πŸ™‚ I tend to believe that since about 2 to 3 years, there is a new generation of players who want that things go fast. Because of that, we hear about "grinding" (due to trying to push faster than it's supposed to go), about "with busy real life it's not possible" and other similar statements. I can understand the feeling, but it should be put back into perspective: don't compare status of progress between someone playing 8 hours a day and someone playing 2 hours per week. At the top of it, even between players who can afford several hours a day at compy, don't forget that another important factor is the type of the player we are: casual, elitist, lazy (like me), and so on... All in all, on my opinion, most important in GW2, that is an old game with a huuuuuuuuuuge content, is to understand and accept the type of player we are, and from there, to just enjoy the achievements we do within the boundaries conditions we have. Just don't set objectives to self that don't match your play style. πŸ˜€
  21. I don't believe it's a realistic possibility, but well, if we start with dreams... A new profession, like for example the Cantha ritualist from GW1 or the assassin from GW1. Both professions had been added with Cantha back those times. The assassin was so great, with this concept of skills in chain that I have never seen anywhere since then.. And the ritualist with the ghosts... sigh... πŸ˜‘
  22. Personally, I do love ArcDPS and find it a huge help in two different ways: - I learned enormously in WvW and PvE raids activities by comparing myself to experienced players with same classes than me (when to cast what, how to cast it, and so on...). - To see for whole team what class is casting what and when, so I know when best to cast my own skills for a powerful together team performance result. I regret very much that Anet couldn't find a way to integrate ArcDPS into the game, or if it's technically not possible, that they didn't create their own integrated system. I believe that as long as the possibility to chose using it or not is existing (so that those who don't want to share data are able to decline), we could only benefit to have something like that directly in the game.
  23. Yes, I would like to keep getting new legendaries. For me, it's more a matter of working in game for a beautiful object with a sense of it being "unique". It's a hard work, but at the end, I have something I don't see on all players around me. Now the point is that I don't want all of them. I want only those I love. As of today, I have all those I find beautiful. So I would enjoy seeing new adds giving me a reason to start hard work again. Side note: I'm very disappointed that some legendary weapons are now available on TP. For me, they were the "ultimate" we can do in this game, requiring to "touch" everything of the game content and to invest time and efforts to obtain one. It was a huge satisfaction to obtain one. Now, it just needs to farm enough gold (what can go fast the way the game is nowadays), and everybody can have a legendary weapon. To my eyes, there is nothing "legendary" anymore into that. Very personal opinion of course. ☺️
