  1. Yeah, I try to get back to and refresh most of the game zones, just for variety. Gyala? Not so much. The first two SOTO maps? I am only there to get a Skyscale, seriously. Nayos is interesting, though, maybe it bodes somewhat better for the future.
  2. I'd settle for some comical screams and panical attempts at escaping, tripping over included. 😄
  3. I mean, the lazy walk of the bored mob and the bar furiously regenerating because screw me, that's why. XD
  4. Do you know the weird feeling when you invade a camp and there is this lazily shuffling mob just a skill jump away, pretending not to care about the sudden wave of Commander death sweeping through their oh so short attempts at living? That's not a proper surival route and somebody should tell them that. There should be a screaming mob running from all the nooks and tents, trying to dogpile you into Channeled Agony. There should be an unified, Hollywoodish attempt at a defense. Not a beautifully dressed Pac Man methodically devouring the enemy force, chunk by chunk. 😛 What do you think? Should the mobs get more spicy?
  5. When a game becomes easy enough thanks to powecreep and nerfing of the content, the empty-brained tend to gather.
  6. So you're against people who oppose Anet restructuring the original project of the game, after all the testing and careful calibration, in a way that suggests they simply had no staff and money to do any better... and then leaving the results to rot, focusing on the new content and making a whole core of the game something where fails don't happen. Even though they seem to have resources to restore the original vision now. K. Have it your way.
  7. I am sure it took a long time to come up with this brilliant solution, kudos, but no, thanks, I mostly roleplay my characters and go where they want to. You don't say, negative wording in a case where somebody took a game that was never designed to handle megaserver player loads and then did absolutely nothing to restructure the events in order for them to still function as something more that 1) 'let me show you my minute long pantomime of being useful' 2) WILL I GET TO THE MOB IN TIME?!?! 3) ??? 4) Profit!!1 And then they additionally lowered the mobs' power, so that any possibility of actually playing a game was out of the question. Yay, am I supposed to be digging through the linguistic vaults for every possible praise of that? 😆
  8. It is so due to not only neglect, but active diminishing of its value through rescaling it in the most crude and cheap manner available, purposefully removing anything that would stress out the kiddies (this game has violence and alcohol, what the hell are they even doing here) and introducing power creep to slowly turn the zones into a collection of autowinnable jokes.
  9. Can't say much about these events, as I strive to avoid anything that involves more than a dozen or so players at the same time. Which leaves me out of quite a lot of gameplay, but well, beats the regular lightshows. 🙂
  10. What is the use and effects of games which give people shinies for doing basically nothing? The training of the rewards areas of the brain is one part of gaming that psychology is VERY interested in.
  11. Not everyone shares the opinion that something extremely easy is not interesting to people who want a remotely challenging experience in their early game, which takes weeks of their free time? Well then, it calls for some lessons in basic logic!
  12. They are a detriment to the vision of the game that tries to make itself interesting to people who do not like to waste their time on 1-2-3-loot and repeat. How would you even deny this?
  13. And I presume you won't give me your opinion on the effects of these changes, because what matters is the business decision and the bottom line, right?
  14. Your opinion is seemingly that lowering the initial difficulty bar to something below the sea level isn't detrimental to shaping a gaming society that wants a game based upon skill, instead of churning numbers. What is your personal preference on this matter?
  15. I am a part of the general population and I am the evidence for it. Problem, officer?
  16. The reality of the game is that it's becoming easier. And my opinion on power creep is that it makes levelling boring and the 'struggles' of the main character are something like Doom on IDKFA. So what is your reality?
  17. I have the right to speak for any group I'd like to represent and your attempts at making my opinion any less valid than yours are just signs of your weird fanaticism.
  18. What is your basis for claiming that through removing the most basic shreds of difficulty from the widely available demo of the game we have gained anything but an influx of people who want everything easy and just keep on cheesing, bots included? A profitable decision, indeed. Just not for people who actually value GW2.
