Telyn Ethuil.6908's Achievements

  1. I miss the old daily log ins. I loved choosing between the offerings and getting closer to a chest for logging in every day. Now? I get points? I don't care about those points, and I while I see the value in skins, I wish they had just left in the old system too. That way it would honestly let people choose what to do. Want to do the regular old dailies? Do em and earn two gold. Have a full account? Get a shiny thingy for logging in. Want to do the vault things? Awesome! Get points and unlock epic loots! Don't restrict me because you're lazy.
  2. Anyone who joined after LS1 but before Heart of Thorns remembers running around and seeing the mess left over from those massive metas. It was one of the greatest draws for me as a new player, thinking that I might be able to do the same with another series of events only never to have that happen. While I'm not hoping for a massive narrative pivot point to be the focus, I would love for a limited run event that reshapes a map permanently. LS1 was the only instance of that happening, and I truly wish that it could happen again. Just let us leave a new mark in central Tyria, or maybe its time for Lion's Arch to be rebuilt more pirate again. I won't be replying much to this, so this is me screaming into the void. Aaaaa.
  3. I just had this issue with my GW2.### file and your solution worked a treat. Bumping this to save others the stress and bid you a hearty thanks.
  4. I know it has to have been said before, but it bears repeating; A tome for all the Living story portal tomes, and a tome for all the luxury passes. One tome to rule them all. I would pay 500 gems for each one as a QoL.
  5. I love the new maps. They look gorgeous and the various locations are memorable. I adore the slight jade cyber-punk feel it has. But maps never feel even half full. Is it bad population planning, or something else? We all know the maps were weirdly designed to not have high player capacity. All maps are by designer choice left to be empty compared to other maps in other xpacs, and we all know how it affects both player morale for events and gameplay when it feels like no one is around. But is this the only reason? I think not. All the maps are void of black lion merchants, banks, and crafting stations. These locations are essential for many people who don't have a wealth of access passes in their inventory at their disposal. Need a specific food? Even if your main is a 500 chef, you need to map hop to cook. Bought something on the trading post? Gotta map hop to collect. There are no locations that serve as your hub of sorts, even in the first Canthan map as a luxury pass, which is utterly bizarre. This means you can't stay in maps to do, well, anything with inventory management and crafting. Eye of the North, or any of the hub passes, are now the best bet, and with the higher costs of wp hopping into Cantha, its much less feasible to just port back in and out. These mixed with the major bugs, low base population, and waning morale, I think has made the perfect storm for empty EoD maps. They are beautiful, but there is no reason to stay.
  6. All of the EoD maps feel vastly empty for a new xpac. It's actually really weird and the feeling of only seeing five to ten other players around in the first two maps only leaves me wanting to skip the events and just fish because there's no point on dead maps. I'm not sure why the player population is so whack, but it is not a great experience.
  7. The meta cannon issue was fixed, but now Reynak will auto-fail at five minutes remaining. This has been tested for two days at various times by two people. It's frustrating for many people, and I'm no invested in metas that are unwinnable.
  8. 85 for Telyn Ethuil.I look forward to playing for everyone in the event!
  9. After reading the latest about the Jormag Rising episode that comes out in two days, I can't help but wonder if a certain Durmund Priory member won't be there. I know it's hardly iconic, but it's a bit of a meme from core that I really hope to see.
  10. What is Silverwastes riba Silverwastes is the final "Core Tyria" map that you can play in before you hit Heart of Thorns territory. I put it in quotes because it wasn't around at launch and was I think added in LS2, like Dry Top. RIBA stands for the four camps that you fight to gain control of and then keep control of through the meta; Red, Indigo, Blue, and Amber. Whenever you see in the Central Tyria squad LFG SW RIBA, that means the commander is taking part in the major meta of the map. If you see SW RIBA + CF, that means they will be running the chest farm after the Vinewraith meta is over, and you should stack up on Bandit chest keys to maximize loot when you enter the map.
  11. I'm on the same damn step and I just can't fathom how they haven't just put a replacement vendor somewhere on the map for it yet. If it's been this buggy for over three years, then have an Npc on standby to ensure that people can actually complete the collection. Put the replacement where the vista is in the jumping puzzle at the bottom for all I care, but just give us a way to make sure we can get the damn food if the event won't start.
