  1. Gem store QoL - prevent people from gifting items that recipients already have unlocked, like outfits, so we don't have to go through the CS song-and-dance and wait months for a refund. You could do a simple message like, "The recipient already has this item unlocked, are you sure you want to send it? >YES< >NO<" or a message that straight-up says NO.
  2. I tested it by downloading the latest stable version of CEF and unpacking it in the GW2/bin64/cef folder. CefHost.exe loads and runs as it did before, which means the libcef.dll loaded successfully. I was able to login and load the gem store fine. It's also possible there are a lot more Win7 users than we thought 🙂
  3. I have developed software before. The point is, Anet can support Win7 since there isn't a lot of dependencies specific to Win10/11 that they need. The CEF issues reported here aren't Win7 related. As long as the end-user has DX11 compatible hardware and OS, they should be good to go. WoW supports Win7 (x64)
  4. Just because MS has stopped supporting anything other than the lastest OS, doesn't mean app developers have to. Take a look at WoW, they still support Win7, hell, even MS-DOS gets new apps from app developers from time-to-time. Us power users know what we're doing, so support (or lack thereof) from MS doesn't mean much. We also don't need MS holding our hand. The latest version of CEF works on Win7 (tested myself). CEF != Chromium, stop thinking that, they are different apps. One can work on Win7 while the other doesn't. CEF just uses the "Content module" rendering engine from the Chromium project, which doesn't rely on anything specific to Win10/11. Some users in this thread have reported similar issues in Win10/11, so it's not just a Win7 issue. The underlying architecture between Win7 (or Vista) and Win10/11 isn't that much different, except for UWP and DX12, neither of which GW2 uses. In theory, GW2 can run on anything Vista (x64) and higher as long as Anet doesn't deliberatly check for Win10/11 only, or use any Win10/11 specific Win32 calls (or switch to UWP or DX12, which would be really stupid of them). DX12 CAN work on Win7, with some limitations (see WoW, Blizz made it happen), google "DX 12on7". https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/76459 https://magpcss.org/ceforum/viewtopic.php?p=47965#p47965 https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/HEAD/content/README.md https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/porting-directx-12-games-to-windows-7/ https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/world-of-warcraft-uses-directx-12-running-on-windows-7/
  5. Checking <gw2_dir>/bin64/cef/ArenaNet.log , I get repeats of the following lines at random times when I try to login or open the gem store: Edit: Win7, happens at random times and will log the above error whenever the WER dialog pops up.
  6. I seem to be getting some weird hitching on dx11 whenever assets are loading (or unloading). It can be rather egregious when moving fast, e.g. on griffon. It doesn't occur on dx9 in FSE mode. I also made sure I didn't have any background apps or overlays running that might be interfering. I made a video of it while moving around on the map as it's easier to see, but it happens everywhere in world. https://gfycat.com/blushingregaldassierat - Win7 SP1 x64 - GeForce 1080Ti - 473.81 drivers (in PCIe 2.0 mode) - 48GB DDR3 - i7-990X (oc'd to 4.2Ghz) - Game on Samsung 860 Pro SSD
  7. You are correct, I didn't know about the cooldown thing. For the fall damage, it actually kills the gunner when it probably should just dismount them, making it consistent with the driver (that's how it works for all the other mounts).
  8. Bugs I've found so far with the Siege Turtle: Gunner gets killed instantly if fall damage is high enough, driver is fine, just dismounts them. The mount button (the one next to skills) can go on a 30+ second CD. This can happen from the above bug. Edit2: Gunner Bond of Faith does NOT go on CD. Edit: I guess the mount CD bug was intentional... I was unaware.
  9. Yea, I'm hoping they'll add back exclusive fullscreen mode so we can claw back some of our frames. Edit: upon further reading, it appears BGFX doesn't support exclusive fullscreen yet...
  10. That's not true fullscreen if you can see your taskbar at the bottom when you press the Windows key with the game in the background. That's "fake" fullscreen (aka, borderless window).
  11. The DX11 beta only has windowed mode options available (that includes borderless). True fullscreen usually has better performance (if you only have 1 monitor), because it gives the game full control of the framebuffer.
  12. Out of curiosity, do you run in Fullscreen mode? I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that DX11 only has windowed modes.
  13. What happens if you try setting the SLI rendering mode in the nvidia control panel for gw2 to Force AFR2? I have a similar setup and i've always set it to this to get it to use both cards. MSI afterburner shows both being used equally for DX11.
  14. Yea, there's some graphical issues with Win7. I played for a little while with DX11 enabled (tie-dye text and all) and haven't crashed yet. Let's give them some time to fix the issue.
