  1. And I'm trying to tell you I personally do not think the ship is sinking yet and drastic measures like you propose are not yet necessary. If you disagree with that then that is fine. You do not have to agree with me. You do you. Whatever floats your boat.
  2. Abandoning ship is the last resort and only to be used when the ship is genuinely sinking. Frankly, I think people give up to often. But hey, I'm not going to try and tell you what to do. It is not my place to do so, nor is it my intention to do so. It's your time and money. The only one who can choose what to do with that is you.
  3. Why quit if you can demand change? If you quit you no longer have the leverage of being a potential customer for their product. The promise of money in exchange for a job well done will do more than leaving and never coming back. Anet is not so far gone that they are beyond redemption. There is still potential here. The stick requires a carrot at the other end to really make it work.
  4. And what if more people jump in? Have you seen what happened to Bud Light, Disney and the entire gaming journalist sphere? Hell, even BlackRock, the multi-trillion dollar fund manager/investment firm is losing billions of dollars as we speak. Not even giants are save from the rabble that rally at their feet. It's about time people realize what power they truly have. People also need to stop accepting the label "consumer". You're not a "consumer". You're a potential customer, and companies should fall on their knees and beg for the privilege of receiving your money.
  5. Don't ask questions. Just consume product. Then get excited for next product. The expansion announcement was tone deaf to the extreme. If Anet would at least acknowledge they heard the feedback I don't think the backlash would have been this bad. We live in a time where the mindful customer has realized the power they hold. Emboldened in the wake of the currently ongoing media, tech and entertainment collapse, the mindful customer marches onward to victory. The current market bubble is worse than the 2008 bubble. It is reaching 1920s levels of bad. Once this bubble pops heads will roll en mass, emperors will be dethroned and giants will topple and fall.
  6. This entire discussion can be summed up like this: Some people want to mindlessly consume without actually giving a dawn about what it is they stuff in their mouths. Negative feedback disturbs their peaceful mindless consuming. Other people are mindful customers who genuinely care and are worried about the direction this game is heading. The carelessness of the mindless consumer increases their worries makes them lose hope. If this gets out of hand the core audience that actually cares will leave for greener pastures and never return. The mindless consumer that doesn't actually care wonders why the game is getting less populated, then act surprised when the consumer slob stops falling in their feed bins because the game died and the company went out of business without them realizing it. Companies need to relearn that they do need their core customer base to build and maintain a sustainable business. Investment money is like a band aid on an open festering wound. Even giants will be toppled once they stop caring about what happens around their feet.
  7. You respond to this but you ignore all the Necromancer complaints currently setting the forums on fire? You can't ignore us forever. At the very least acknowledge you've heard the feedback and are taking it into consideration. That is the LEAST you can do. Silence will only make people more angry. People want answers and they want them now.
  8. Yes, people will keep playing. The real question is, will people keep paying? To pay, or not to pay? That is the question.
  9. Bargaining is one of the best methods for solving problems. It's a method of problem solving that has stood the test of time for thousands of years. Anet is a company that makes games. Anet wants my money. I want a good gaming experience. Anet delivers that experience and in exchange I give them money. Once Anet stops giving me the gaming experience that I want I stop giving them money. If Anet wants my money again they will have to give me the gaming experience that I want. It's a basic transaction. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. A lot of companies these days seem to think they no longer need the customer's money. I like to proof them wrong. The customer is god, his will is absolute, and companies are there to grovel at the customer's feet and beg for his money.
  10. What I'd like to know is where you got this information. You don't have to go into specific details or mention specific people. But anyone can say anything on the internet and present it as "truth". For all we know you could simply be a disgruntled person with and axe to grind. So if you can't back up this claim then you can't expect people to take it seriously. The kind of attitude you attribute to the Guild Wars 2 developer team is unprofessional to the extreme and in any sensible company this kind of attitude would get you fired. So if your claims are true it would be seriously damning to Anet as a company. But if they are not true your claims could be interpreted as slander.
  11. If you revert the Necromancer changes I might consider going along with this. You didn't listen to the feedback for the recent patch. You didn't even say you heard the feedback, never mind taking it into consideration. So what use is our feedback going to have if you're not even going to listen to it? Are you trying to make people forget about this by ignoring the "balancing" patch clown show of your own creation and try to divert our attention away from it? Hell, why would I even buy the expansion at this point? Maybe a good old fashioned boycott would do the trick. Money talks and kitten walks, after all...
  12. I also contemplated pre-ordering the next expansion. Frankly, the expansion does look really good. But the fact Anet pushed through this patch despite the overwhelming valid criticism makes me worried for the future of this game. Let's hope they will listen to us.
  13. Like the title says, I have a deal to offer you. You revert all the changes made to necromancer and I will pre-order your next expansion. What will it be, Anet? Money? Or no money? The choice is yours. Choose wisely.
  14. Hell, I don't like 2v2 matches, so I'm doing unranked. But now I just get queued against the same premade over and over again. Still no daily.
