  1. It’s incredibly uninspired . throw torch, really? Then you don’t even throw the torch in your hand but a generic one! I think it’s time to redo these skills. the torch should thematically tie into the nature aspect of the rangers and the sun. my ideas: skill 4: sun block-> solar flare block and if attacked unleashed a solar flare around you burning foes. skill 5: sun rays Guide the sun over you burning enemies and healing allies who enter the field what are your ideas for torch

I like the idea that warriors channel their might, strength, and defense through their staff and share it to allies. they bonk their enemies to confuse them and disable them . 1. auto attack with heavy confusion 2. mobility skill with very short cool down like jaunt but instead a shirt dash 3. spinning to win: spin so hard you create a whirlwind that gives allies super speed and cripples /confuses enemies inside of it 4. Slam into a target area dealing damage and imbuing your allies with might and barrier 5. Flip over: command post: stand your ground gaining stacks of stability and reduce damage taken by 50 percent. Summon banners that grant boons to allies and conditions to foes. Banner skills 1. Banner throw : charge a banner throw a banner at your enemy dealing more confusion based on how long you hold. 2. Inspire. Grant stability and swiftness to allies 3. discourage: fear enemies at a target location 4. protect: grant barrier and allies get healed for each stack of night on them. 5. Into the fray : return to your melee staff healing allies with stability burst: taunt enemies in a 600 range and you and your allies gain barrier , cause confusion for each enemy interrupted . primal burst:gain barrier and taunt a single enemy filling then with rage: granting them high stack of confusion, low burning and quickness. If enemy dies steal their quickness and grant to allies just the theme
  5. We will have 5 main hands and 2 off hands . no matter how you cut it we didn’t need another main. Axe should be something for the future but having it now was an absolutely silly choice
  6. Id like a support focus- that makes the class feel like a dancer or bard. currently scepter doesn’t have a ranged off hand weapon that has either condi or help with support. Dagger 5 being melee feels weird scepter pistol works but doesn’t really sell theme of a shadow assassin Im also down with offhand sword
  7. I’m hoping when wielding the scepter you summon the spirit to fight along side you and the weapon skills act as commands for the legend
  8. I think shield 5: should go back to cast in front of you instead of ground target. I love dagger shield but I think the two ground targeted skills on a fast moving/ reactive spec is not the best
  9. Nah I rather play with my food that always been the mesmer for me. I’m not physically going to kill you, but I will trick you into your own death. not bang bang. I think the skills will probably be cool I just wish it was not a bulky rifle.

Well I can personally think that the mainhand weapon we world currently make sense. sword- blade dagger - blade Greatsword- blade scepter and staff are both magic weapons so it’s makes sense to conjure things with magic but- axes have blades but they are visually not sharp and it’s not a magic weapons so it’s just visually weird to me and the rifle is just going to look so weird with blades floating above your head. something more universal would be a better image .
  11. I'm really loving the new weapons on classes.. however some look very weird with the spec mechanic visuals. a few that come to mind. Virtuoso: having an axe ain your main hand and still shooting out blades is weird. I feel like virtuoso should shoot something else other than blades because it doesnt work with every weapon. Let alone a rifle while shooting daggers. I feel like the blades should have a different stock visual that is more universal: butterflies? idk.. but right now its weird. WIllbender: the punching and slamming animation look weird with ranged weapons. I feel like the animation should change based on the weapon you are weilding. this is just a side note: but when weilding a scepter and an offhand sword the animation for the dual strike should conjure a light blade over the scepter. vindicator: the smash landing with a bow feels weird feels weird.. so again i feel like there could be a new animation for that. I dont mind not having new elite specs but lets make them visually appealing.
  12. i am kinda of annoyed by rifle. We needed a mainhand pistol and an offhand dagger. Mesmer is an elegant class and rifle is not an elegant weapon.
  13. Please make catalyst a spec that only uses 2 attunements and has weapon swap. Currently even at its original state it’s too but and just a mess of a class. reducing it to 2 elements and giving weapon swap would actually give the spec a personality. bonus points if you swap the floating orbs for the spheres. making the floating orbs the mechanic and giving the hammer the spirits.
  14. Considering all the professions are getting 5 skills I wonder what’s gonna be the deal with rev. I’m thinking rev scepter will actually give all 5 skills with the last two be dependent on the spirit being channeled . I’m kinda hoping the scepter gives a summoner vibe summoning the spirit we are channeling and the scepter delivers commands . really give that ritualist vibe
  15. I think a mainhand should that you throw would be major. Obviously prot paladin would be awesome here. other than that an inquisitor spec with a pistol or rifle and punishment skills.
  16. That’s ridiculous consistent advertising is totally important to a games health. As well as delivering consistent content .
  17. They can’t even consistently drop a release page. The argument that this company is consistent is out the window. again even during hot to path of fire we went with months of silence after hot. I will give it to them tho. Which is frankly frustrating because many people call back to this as a hood era and then they get hit with the iterative bug again and swing to ice brood saga. No more expansion! Did anyone in their player base ask for that? Whether it’s financial or not whoever is making the top down decisions for this game clearly just sees it as a little game that is profitable but isn’t worth investing proper strategy into. hopefully they are working on the successor because that’s the only excuse I could give them for this flippant behavior of a great product they keep letting slip under the radar

I just posted like 5 post above this… again your opinion and you trying to control how communicate. asking for relatively small changes and about combat and visuals isn’t what I’m complaining about anyway which is why I just chose to ignore you. I’m complaining about a company that has not has 2 consistent years since its inception when it comes to the way they deliver and advertise for their content. which is fundamentally different than asking for balance updates or giving an alternative to that kitten ugly green mech. Anyway I’ll continue to ignore you as your only role on these forums seems to be to police people. your opinion is invalid to me. Speak to the abyss
  19. Like how do we not have a blog post or a release page already. This seems bare minimum. ffxiv releases a release page like months before its content and updates it as they progress. its not that this game isn’t doing well it’s just annoying how they waste the potential that they have by being continually sloppy with how they release content. its honestly bizarre. Like no one at the top was like let’s take a few photos of the new content and make a release page? there is honestly just not an excuse for this that I can possibly think of. do they not have interns?
  20. Keep the conversation going but I just wanted to say.. calling me entitled doesn’t hurt my feelings. I take it as a compliment. I am entitled to voice my opinion about a game I care about. I am entitled to complain when this company that has a great product on their hands keeps letting their efforts go to waste. my singular point is it’s time for this to stop constantly revamping how they do things. this need to be the last change for a while. I just want to see them consistently pump out new content with the systems they already created.
  21. You can cry entitled all you want but again this game is holding itself back with its inconsistency. Other games can be likened to cars. One time purchases where you get their value and once the value has run out you get another. mmorpgs are fundamentally different. They are about communities. I own an operate a yoga studio and I can tell you if I was inconsistent I wouldn’t have a client base as big as I do. Because yoga studio like mmorpgs are about community. I’ve been in like 8 guilds since they game started. They usually have a big boon around the expansion and then when things get quiet people disappear. I contrast this with my ffxiv guild and because there is some whisper of new content being added and the game has shown it has potential to be consistent people stay around even during the long pauses. Again you can white knight the game all you want you are only contributing to its mediocre status when the game has potential to be great. maybe I am entitled.. but at least I’m not complacent
  22. as a person who has played countless mmos since I was like 12 I’m in my mid 30s now. This is the most inconsistent major mmo I’ve ever played. That’s the bottom line. And that inconsistency keeps the game from achieving the success it should have. you can white night all you want. but they can’t keep a simple routine. expansion+ living world works. People were happy with that. But they couldn’t keep it on a schedule. Mostly due to the fact that they are constantly trying to reinvent the wheel. Im not even saying there decision to iterate over the years has all been bad.. but it’s time to be consistent. That’s what this game needs. im tired of some random new approach they drop and then start again.. only to drop it for years. when they released raids they should have had a raid commitment of 1 a year. when they released abandoned dungeons for mediocre half dungeon (fractals) they should have committed to 3 a year. now we have strikes which I’m happy they have shown some consistency with but for how long. When are they gonna drop it for something else random instead of improving upon it. My major point is that this game has all the systems it needs to be a fantastic game. The company needs to be consistent in putting the things that work out more often instead of throwing together a new idea every 5 seconds. and on communication. MMO’s are not normal games. They are second lives, I have friends I talk to, people I spend evenings with. While I have a very active social life outside of gaming I also have a very active social life in gaming. So having some knowledge about a games plans is important for keeping those communities active. I can’t keep friends or a guild in Gw2 because people are constantly leaving the game because they are never sure when they are going to get new content.
  23. This is like the 8th time you guys have changed how you release content. Your lack of consistency over the years makes it hard to trust this company. lack of time frames and committing to those time frames has lost a lot of trust from me. every year it’s something different . no expansion, living world, permanent living world, expansion, sagas, now mini expansions. This inability to keep a system is making it so that this game will never achieve the success it should have. This needs to be the last model for at least 4 years and you need to be consistent with it. It’s exhausting as someone who loves this game watching a company ruin it’s potential over and over again . you created a great game just deliver content to it regularly. The wheel has been invented.. push it I have played this game since gw1 beta. I want to see it thrive finally. Also the blog post was a great Example of bad marketing. There was literally nothing to get people excited and so many things that leave new and old players with questions and vague answers and offered nothing to get excited about. also why did it take you this long to communicate that you are no longer doing living world. You clearly knew this was no longer a thing and just decided to be vague about it since the release of eod.
  24. Mantras should be cooler. my example of how mantas should work. mantra of distraction. For 3 second you pulse daze around you. Gain distraction after 3 pulses. Distraction: stun target If one of your pulses interrupts the enemy you gain. Mass distraction. Aoe stun
