  1. Nah, don't delete. Good reminder for us every now and then that these people exist. Talking to people and getting your emotions out is a good thing.
  2. It's not "the opposite of sandbox", it's providing a feature that you can choose to use or not. It's the difference between calling a group of players on each other's friendlist a guild, compared to there being an actual guild to join in-game. By sandboxy, I mean a game that has less of a straight path for players to follow and has more things for players to do besides killing monsters. Like how the game Second Life, which also has the a marriage/partner mechanic, is a sandbox game.
  3. I've seen in-game marriage in another mmo before, Mabinogi, I think it has some benefits. It makes the game world more of a living world and more sandboxy, creates stronger bonds between players to keep them playing, and attracts and keeps an RP community.
  4. For some people, decorating their character is the content. There is really no good reason to make skins from black lion chest account bound except to sell more gems. It's inconvenient and unfun.
  5. A few days ago we killed one in Gendarran Field with around 10 people or less, and half or more were newbies. So, no, it's not designed for "50 people", you are talking about a champ mob like it's the tequatl world boss.
  6. Also makes sense lore-wise, since us player characters would basically be fractal, strike, or raid bosses if we were npcs.
  7. Because Anet is not adding new playable races I feel like they have been lazy or in maintenance-mode mindset. Is it too much effort to make a new personal story for those races, make gear work on the new race models, and other necessary things? They did it for Sylvari and Heart of Thorns, this was peak quality and effort. Now, they don't even try.
  8. I haven't gotten the Skycale yet, don't know exactly what I need to do to get it, but I from what I read it might be difficult. I have no problem with this, I don't want it to be too easy.
  9. I played Mabinogi before, but many years after it already released. The spirit of exploration and discovery that is in both Mabinogi and GW2 might be what makes me like both games.
  10. I think he has valid criticism about parts of the process being too annoying or tedious though.
  11. You sound stressed and really burned out, i think it's ok to take a break from the legendary grind occassionally. When i feel bored or annoyed from grinding for my legendary weapon, i just stop playing the game for while until i feel like it again. I think because legendary stuff is meant to be a hard and long-term goal, since it's the pinnacle and final end gear, you're meant to take these breaks between the long grind. Though you make good points about part of the process being annoying, I think a few things about it could be changed.
  12. At the very minimum, they need to do one of two things: bundle in living world season 2 with HoT and other living worlds with their appropriate expansion have it as a toggable option on the purchase menu to buy the connected lw season and put a pop-up text box somewhere that says "Living world season 2 is necessary to understand the story between ls1 and hot, would you like to purchase this as well?" before the player can complete their expansion purchase. How it is right now is unclear to the new player and many will feel cheated or confused if they buy the expansion and not have the story leading up to it unlocked. It should be made as clear as possible, there is no downside to doing this and will result in more happy players. For me, I didn't know lws2 was necessary to understand the story so I only bought HoT, and the story wasn't enjoyable because I didn't know anything going on. And I didn't know I needed lws2 until I finished the HoT story, so the experience was kind of ruined.
  13. I completely agree with this, there really aren't any living world maps where I just want to relax, walk around, or even just sit there and watch the scenery, while there are a lot of core tyria maps where I can do that. Disappointing.
  14. The faction armor for Vigil, Durmand Priory, and Order of Whispers, should have a lower level requirement, like 30 not 80. Level 30 is where the player joins their faction, this should also be the level where they unlock the armor for that faction. It would be disappointing for a player to join the faction and want to wear the faction armor to match the storyline, yet it can't be worn yet until level 80, unless you spend 6 transmutation charges.
