  1. This game has TERRIFIC and very fast support. They have always helped me when I had an issue (the issues usually revolve around me being old and forgetful) I don’t care what the native language of the CS for this game is. What I care about is the fact that they are always kind and helpful. Kindness is a universal language that each of us has the capability to speak and understand. Thank you to the Anet support! Hugs, Drew
  2. If I want a challenge I’ll raid or run a dungeon. The difficulty and health pools of the living story bosses are ridiculous in my opinion. Difficulty should also be tied to an actual reward. If I was rewarded it would be worth it.
  3. I died twice trying to open the map fighting the dragon. I got frustrated and logged out and haven’t tried it again. I don’t like the way you have to fight a mini boss to open the maps for LS. I might’ve been doing something wrong but I wasn’t having fun. To be fair I’m bad and a clicker who plays this as a solo game lol.
  4. Why have I never seen this before!? Recommending Gw2 to my friends through gameplay and features has been easy enough, but trying to sell the story to new players with no previous insight has been a challenge. "Movie"-trailers like these are immensly helpful in that regard. Wouldn't that set some false expectations, though? They get the game, and then discover that they have to go through a "second purchase" to get that cool thing in the trailer. In my experience, people are not a fan of hidden costs like that.Show of the mounts for sure, but make sure that what you see is what you get. Excellent point! I think a way to communicate the costs for flashy things in the game is important. Players who are new to the game and returning should be told they need POF for mounts.
  5. Visual artist here. Not a white knight so my opinion is not influenced by anything. I think the video is terrific. I like the quotes also even though I don’t agree with every one. My only suggestion is to keep focused on the mounts in future marketing. You guys did a terrific job with them. Maybe show some of the cool new skins with crazy colors. That celestial griffon skin would be great.
  6. When getting leather to craft requires traveling to a specific living world zone and spamming a key for an hour and you have to click containers two to three times to see loot that most of the time is trash how could the player feel rewarded for playing?
  7. No. There is no such limit. You're assuming that ArenaNet will not add more skins to the pool. I can guarantee that they will making the odds of getting "the one you want" lower. People absolutely have the right to gamble - but then GW2 should be rated M (or even AO) and clearly labelled as a gambling product, not just a video game. Like online poker. You don't have a leg to stand on claiming this is gambling, it is just extremely expensive and badly designed (leaving an awful taste in the mouth). No casino on earth gives you a jackpot guaranteed after a maximum of 30 rolls. There very clearly is a limit, 30 rolls. There is buckets wrong with this purchasing model, inventing wrong problems does not help. It’s gambling. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/gamble It is gambling in the same way buying something for £127.50 when it comes with stuff you don't want is gambling, ie. not at all gambling but stupidly expensive and badly designed. Gambling always requires a chance you will lose, you cannot lose if you buy 30 tickets or even the whole bundle "deal." I really have no interest in defending this awful decision by Anet, but it is not gambling. Gambling is the wagering of money or something of value (referred to as "the stakes") on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning money or material goods. The outcome of what you are buying is uncertain until you have only 1 skin left. The object is 30 mounts which Anet has valued at £127.50, they will deliver it to you one random piece at a time or you can buy it all at once for a discount. You are just excited about one piece but the product is the whole thing. You aren't winning anything you are just buying a group lot in a random order with the option to stop buying pieces once you get the bits you want. As I said, I hate it but it is not gambling. It is gambling and you are derailing this thread.

  9. I didn’t read the tooltip before purchasing my gems thinking I would be able to pick out the specific skins I wanted and skins for the only two mounts I use. Unfortunately for me Anet decided to add RNG gambling to the selection. If I want to gamble I’ll go to Las Vegas and gamble at an actual casino. I would love to be able to support the game and purchase items I want but I will never pay for a gambling item again and I will not purchase any gems if this practice continues.
  10. OP abusive behavior is against the TOS. Report then block them.
  11. I find them boring and have poor rewards. Until they are more interesting and rewarding I'll stick to hot and Tyria areas for events.
  12. Anet is a business and likely designs their product to make them money. Why would they design around customers that aren't paying for their product? If you want gliding purchase HOT. If you want mounts purchase POF. Anet doesn't sell common sense.
  13. As someone who is playing a scourge. I would like to say the spec feels overpowered. I know balancing classes is extremely difficult but if there isn't a way to bring it down to the other classes maybe the other specs should be buffed to where scourge is.
  14. The mounts have completely changed all the content and the way I played it before POF so there is a ton of stuff for me to do so honestly it will be a while before I could critique POF. So far the expac is a 10 out of 10.
  15. The trick is to time and keep up your speed buff as much as possible. Also try to always throw the ingredients from a distance and not be focused on being close to him.
