  1. Some QoL changes for scepter but nothing that matters that much. Water trident change is just horrible for the already clunky support tempest. Tempest is still a horrible dps choice and has been for too long. As support it's also still incredibly frustrating to apply alacrity. Catalyst gets -dmg trait reversed which shouldn't have happened in the first place. Yet to see how hammer 3 change affects dps but if it's calculated to compensate the lack of burst activation then it's still not a great dps choice for the effort it requires. Other classes do better with a braindead rotation. Maybe at least quickalist could be an ok choice now? The only neat thing is getting some aegis on earth sphere but since it's part of a rotation it's not really gonna be a useful on demand skill. It's gonna be an aegis which you get randomly when you don't need it. Weaver untouched even when the power build is weak and it's a super selfish dps class that can't even use a CC on demand without completely destroying it's rotation as a condi because you don't really go into air and water unless you weave yourself. Most of our utilities are embarassing in pve. Cantrips and even our blink is hilarious compared to other blinks. What are you afraid of? Elementalist being able to move fast in open world PvE? This patch feels like a "be greatful that we didn't completely bash your face in again". I still don't see a reason to log in and play my favorite class even when I WANT TO. Because in the end it leaves me frustrated and annoyed and that's not the feeling I want when I play something for enjoyment. It's literally been years. When will ele be in a spot where it's not a burden to the squad and I get side-eyed in high end pve? But most importantly my biggest disappointment is that I don't get why we get treated this way.

  3. Can Anet revisit those. Why is our Lightning Flash not a stun break in PvE so many years now, when it was nerfed for PvP reasons before skill split existed....and it's not just that skill. Is there ever a light at the end of this tunnel or is it just a train.
  4. Nothing personal towards you but at this point after so many years I really could care less about "balance philosophy". Logging into and playing this game emotionally feels like being bashed by my ex and after my face gets bashed I get an explanation on why and it's always my fault. I asked for it, I overreacted, I should've known my place, I looked at him funny, I make a big deal out of it. And I'm always anticipating the next time my face gets bashed. All I want to do is log in and enjoy playing my class in a squad, instead for years I play it in personal story and seasonal events. And it's not even fun to play because balancing dps isn't the only thing that matters but what you can bring to the squad, rotation fluidity and the ability to reset it without losing too much or recover when it's mostly ground target that is easily lost with movement. I would honestly let the SC helpdesk do patch notes at this point I don't think it could possibly get worse than official balance. Even when things deserve to get a nerf it's like the worst possible way to do it is chosen.
  5. I don't see anything here that isn't setting up Catalyst for another nerf in 2 weeks. How to fix Catalyst before the 15th March nerf - adjust quickness so that you need more boon duration gear to maintain it which will automatically lowers the DPS on the quickcatalyst build. Nerf the overall dmg by 2-3k at most which is enough to buy time till June to carefully rework hammer 3 because it is THE SOLE REASON for the big variation in DPS due to hitbox size. What you actually did - nerfed every skill and trait damage into oblivion but boosted boon duration. Now you are boosting the damage up again but keeping the boosted boon duration from the previous patch as well as adding more passive buffs on hammer 3. This now looks like a huge mess. I personally dislike the increased sphere cooldown, in a lot of fights there's major movement and dashing around the arena. So if you drop your AoE and 2 second after that the boss moves you have to wait whole 10 seconds more (with alacrity) to recast it.
  6. 15 second cd on orb when attunement cd is 10 seconds nerfing all the traits and skills INTO OBLIVION when the damage difference comes SOLELY FROM HAMMER 3 BEING BAD trying to justify yourself that quickness build is doing too much damage but destroying the pure dps catalyst to do as much damage as a quickness firebrand all you could've done was require more boon duration or make it so we have to trait for the uptime you have destroyed something that was already not great in 2 weeks and have set a new record on exterminating the elementalist minority, good job
  7. The fact that the F5 effect changes with attunement makes it hard to build a quickness build as to give quickness you are prevented from switching attunements. It's not like a glyph where you cast it based on attunement and then you're free to switch. The duration of the orbs of the skill slot 3 on hammer is TOO SHORT. Lastly the damage you get out of a HAMMER is not hammer worthy...
  8. Do you know what's the definition of an exploit? This is how the game has worked for 9 years, calling it an exploit is inaccurate, it's a fundamental function of the game and the way it was made. This is a change of fundamental functions, not an exploit and it's just clunky. It's like they're doing it cause they're on a budget and can't afford to do anything else. You know, like eating noodles and calling it a healthy food cause you can't really afford meat and vegetable.
  9. Look, I am not one of those people that prestack everything that exists for the class I play BUT you have already put a max duration cap for boons. I would rather other people are allowed to prestack boons, than having all the boons on me instantly deleted just because I switched a weapon for some swiftness. I agree about removing prestacks of trait effects like ashes, I agree about traps and I agree about skills effects like one wold pack but please let boons be because it feels much better that way. It feels right, as you have already put a duration cap for them.
  10. Can a timer be added to the statuette merchant so we know when those items available with statuettes are going away. I wanted to buy the exalted shoulder skin but it disappeared a week earlier than I thought.
  11. I am tired of these joke elementalist changes but at least it wasn't a nerf again this time. NOBODY uses healing power on a PvE dps spec! Just give us a spec with a passive defense mechanic since elementalist is beyond ruined in PvE as an active defense class. And make the god kitten staff playable again.
  12. Oh...that too... I didn't even think of on the go swapping from inventory... I want my legendaries back too...Most of my legendary gear is weapons. I guess the update is good for armor but it's terrible for weapons. The way it is now I feel like I screwed myself with crafting a legendary weapon as ascended one is more convenient...
  13. I don't like how the legendaries can't be pulled in the inventory. I had hopes that we would be able to pull an item the same way we do with achievement point skins. For example on my thief I used the same berserker gear for daredevil and deadeye. I only switched rifle and staff from my inventory. Now when I equip my rifle instead of having a staff in my inventory, it goes back to that tab and drops the runes and infusions that were on it in my inventory creating awful clutter. So the armory kinda forces you to buy equipment template slots. To have a staff in my inventory now I have to have an ascended one.

  15. I just want my Lightning Flash stunbreak back and my jump while doing Ride the Lightning back...
