  1. [UPDATE] It looks like (in a bizarre way) I've solved the problem. I had to create a copy of the controller configuration within Steam (A new "save" one) and it worked. Now I have GW2 and GW2-2 lol. And the old configuration (identifies the new one) is still there but it's dead for some reason....! Thank you all. p.s: A.NET plzzzzz we need a native controller system. ty.
  2. Hello, first of all forgive my bad english. It's not my first language. OK, let's go: Don't be shocked but I only play GW2 with controller (xbox) using Steam. (I just love it. I think it's much better than a mouse and keyboard. And there are some tutorials on youtube if you're curious). Yesterday the art screens between one map and another were super slow and I had the kitten idea to use a program I've been calling "Smart Game Booster". This program somehow optimizes the game which ultimately runs faster. The transition screens between maps really got faster but something (which I have no idea about) happened that caused GW2 to lose connection with Steam and now it doesn't recognize the Controller anymore. Sad to note that apparently nothing has changed. GW2 appears on Steam, Steam recognizes the Controller but the game no longer. I even deleted the "Smart Game Booster", restarted the computer 1,000 times, etc and nothing happened. Does anyone have any guesses? Perhaps some GW2 temporary folder that if cleaned or deleted could solve the problem? I've tried everything I thought of and nothing has fixed the problem. I am in that spiritual state between abstinence and despair. Thank you for your help. Taking advantage of this topic.... There is still no news of A.NET putting the controller option in GW2?? Even the world of warcraft developers (who are the most stubborn devs in the universe) already put this option on that wagon...! Thank you!☺️
  3. My super frank opinion (as a PvP player): This DeadEye we have today is not bad and "super speed" is sometimes very good. But DeadEye before the patch was MUCH better. I don't know about PVE but in PVP the 1 second extra stealth bonus made a big difference in performance. A.Net should give us a skill where we lose a percentage of regen or something... in exchange for the 1 second extra stealth. I already have the name for this skill: "shadow bargain".
  4. Thank you all. Well, I guess I'm going to have to relearn a new kind of gameplay. The best defense is offense so does anyone have a tip for a good "DeadEye one-shot" build?? And what sigil is better? Thank you.
  5. Hi guys and girls, and... Arena.Net. First of all, English is not my first language, so forgive me for any misspellings. Second I'm really curious (and sad) and this is not a "troll threat". After a few months without playing due to some personal issues yesterday I finally got back together with my beloved Thief DeadEye. Like many Thiefs I love PvP and pretty much only play PvP. I entered a PvP and with 1 minute of game-play I realized that DeadEye was all broken. My build is shadow arts/acrobatics/Deadeye. With this Build I "rolled/dodging" and gained (if I'm not mistaken) 4 seconds of stealth. Now it's just a stealth "blink". The other classes have some shield or other subterfuge to survive that the thief does not. Thief survival is in Stealth. So I had to change my skills on the right side (built to deal damage to the target) for all the ones that stealth the thief and even then I realized that even these were nerfed. I researched and found that the "crime" happened here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates/2022-06-28#Thief:~:text=in PvP only.-,Thief,-[edit] There was an update and (among other nerfs) they changed the original concept of "shadow arts". Before "shadow arts" guarantee to the thief more stealth...! Now (if I understand correctly) it gives you speed and health if (IF) you got stealth from another source. lol They deleted "Concealing Restoration" which made a great symbiosis with another "acrobatics" talent and made "rolling/dodging" give me a great time in stealth. In short: In the style of game-play that I liked to play I couldn't kill anyone because having a longer stealth than the other classes was the only guarantee of survival of the thief in PvP. And the reasonable damage skills (the ones on the right side of the screen) that I applied damage had to be all replaced by "stealth skills" and even these have reduced stealth time. Jesus Christ Arena.Net... could you please go back on this decision?? The thief does not have "super armor". We only survive (both attacking and defending) with steath. If you take away our stealth... you kill this class.
  6. It is in this thread that I ask you to: Rangers' attack range is decreased. Necro can no longer summon necro-dudes. That they remove the armor and the long-sword of the warriors. ????? This thread saddens me. We have at least 3 one-shot classes in the game but the problem is "the guy I can't see". I finally understand how Thanos annihilated half the universe. Marvel forgot to hire the invincible invisible man.
  7. When I saw the video I already knew I wasn't going to let go of my deadeye for a purple thief healer with a scepter. So I tested it today for 6 minutes. I never want to get my hands on this again.
  8. I don't drop my DeadEye for nothing in this world but I'm dying to test the new spec of thief in the PVP area. With the 3 correct specs something tells me this thief will be almost immortal...
  9. Interesting..... but it still doesn't come close to DeadEye. And it looks like a mixed spec of melee and ranged. I never liked that kind of gameplay. The shadow form is cool...but not as cool as a Reaper. And can anyone tell me why the spec symbol is a Tengu mask? And let's get serious... compare this trailer to the reaper trailer. They didn't even have to say anything. The hype has climbed Everest...
  10. It is simply amazing the survival of a DeadEye that also uses Acrobatics and Shadow Arts. You become a Thief that can kill at long range, with perma-stealth (while not attacking), super fast and anti-stun. For PVP and WvW it's just great. I strongly advise.

  12. Hi, English is not my first language. Sorry for something wrong. The button to enter PVP 5v5 unranked and ranked is not working for me. It's not lag. I already logged out and reentered. It doesn't work with any of my toons. The button of the lobby pvp is ok. When I put the mouse-cursor on the button it changes color saying that the mouse cursor is over it, but when I press the button nothing happens. What should I do?? Thanks!!
  13. Rifle. This is the best Build I know for PVP and WvW. Basically I have perma-stealth and hardly get stuck in some stun. The thief is incredibly fast and invisible for 90% of combat. And with all the humility of this world... in 1v1 (sometimes 1v2)... I kill any class. Go 5:21 minutes to see the build or 11:40 to see how this works.

  15. All my friends that I show GW2 are ecstatic with the game. They say it's beautiful, etc... and wonder: How come I've never heard of it? So I believe it's a marketing failure. It seems that the game being excellent is not enough.
  16. I really hope it's something quite different from all the thief specs. For this to happen really just adding shadow magic or a over power shadow form like the necro-reaper.
  17. If it is a Thief capable of using long distance magic it will be incredibly OP in pvp. It will probably fill the target with conditions so just swap to daggers to finish the thing.
