Inner Nayos: Wrong mob skin during an event

It's long overdue!
-
It's definitely not worth it on the whole. There are a few specs that had interesting results from it -healscrapper getting mace instead of the stupidity of pistol being an example- but most of those could have been fixed other ways, and it's created a worse result than before. And it's just going to get worse with the new weapons.

This update proves that previews are needed.
SolarDragon.7063 replied to SolarDragon.7063's topic in Professions
Yeah Mabon as a support option was an interesting idea... Mabon as a self-empowering option is very very unlikely. -
The relic changes are the most minimal possible, it has power relic NERFS when power is in a terrible state with relics, nerfs are to core class parts of overperforming builds instead of the actual overperforming builds... Please either take a deeper approach to patches, or give players that have that depth of understanding the option to contribute.

Would you like a new Race?
SolarDragon.7063 replied to SoulGuardian.6203's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Quaggans or riot! Tengu, Skritt, or Kodan would be cool too, I guess. -
Make Gift of Battle avaliable in PvE
SolarDragon.7063 replied to N I Z M O R.2950's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I'm sure it's been said repeatedly by others, but Gift of Battle is how many people end up in the WvW community. Most people don't naturally try out new things and give them anywhere close to a real chance. Gift of Battle is how WvW gets that chance, and I support it staying a compulsory part of legendaries because of that. -
Secrets of the Obscure Balance Follow-Ups
SolarDragon.7063 replied to Cal Cohen.2358's topic in Professions
I mean, genuinely, kitten *everyone* should be doing less than 40k IMO, except maybe stuff like Weaver and Deadeye that are very difficult to play to that level. But yes, no preview is not a good sign. -

Oh god boon range and number especially. Quick Herald: 600 range and nearly every boon Quickbrand: Still quickbrand Any other quick: 360 at best and half the boons and probably no Aegis. -

Please, give us some actual idea of what builds *should* be doing. Personally, I feel like any DPS above 40k and boonDPS above 30k should have some tough explaining to do- maybe they're a class that excels at one specific aspect like confusion used to for Twins, etc.- 192 replies

Updates coming to Silent Surf August 22

What, losing 1/2 or more of your health inescapably to a mechanic that stops you DPSing isn't fun? -
Can Engineer finally lose the RNG skills?
SolarDragon.7063 replied to SolarDragon.7063's topic in Engineer
I mean, they seem intent on changing every other aspect of the game whether it needs it or not... pushing this one onto the radar when people want it changed is the least we can do... -
Can Engineer finally lose the RNG skills?
SolarDragon.7063 replied to SolarDragon.7063's topic in Engineer
I hate how accurate this is to 95% of the history of engineer builds. -
Rifle is indeed terrible now. And is still clunky due to having half its damage on an effectively melee skill.

We are getting a new weapon... it's a bow
SolarDragon.7063 replied to Calen.8945's topic in Engineer
I could not be less excited for this weapon, honestly. At best, it power creeps an existing weapon set. At worst, it doesn't and is therefore useless. Yay! -
If we're going to overhaul Engineer the way Anet are doing, could we at least make its skills more usable by not having RNG attached to them? Throw Elixir B is a great example-you can get one of four different boons from it! While it's an okay Stability source, that makes it awful at any of the actual boons it supposedly gives because you can't upkeep them meaningfully and you can't guarantee the one you actually want. Similarly, Elixir X, the good ol' "give you the less useful form from two other classes because we couldn't be bothered giving you an actual skill" Elite! Give us a skill that we actually know what it does when we press it!

At the very, very least give us better control of the stupid mech! I've had situations where the mech is literally out of range of Mech Genius and the F7 still wouldn't actually make it move. So Shift Signet is mandatory twice over, for mech position and for boons, but then using it for one negates the other... It's an extremely unsatisfying "minigame" that punishes you for bad coding.
-
Mech Genius is horrific right now, and the icon is way too subtle. Also, the mech mace barrier changes make it overall a worse barrier generator despite the much publicised barrier burst change. Scrapper... I hate it. Holo could do with like... any boon generation, honestly. It's probably the closest to 0-boon of any spec in the whole game right now.
-
Was the change to Mechanist barrier on Mace intended? Currently it's on the Mace 2 rather than the AA change, which severely reduces the overall barrier generation of the spec, making the Burst change negligible since they have much less sustained barrier.
