  1. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue that prevented a small number of affected players from being properly exempted from purchase requirements for exotic dungeon items. Following this hotfix, players who recently completed a dungeon story mode or explorable path for the first time will also be exempt. Fixed a server crash.
  2. Ranger and Mechanist Activated pet skill buttons now display a cooldown while the pet is affected by hard control effects, in the same way that player skills do. Pet skill buttons now provide visual feedback when they are activated by the player while the pet is moving into range of the selected target. Previously there was no visual change to the button until the pet was within range and began casting the skill. Pets are more responsive to the Return to Me command, responding instantly rather than on the next 1-second interval on the server. Bug Fixes Fixed a bug that prevented the book Smash the Dragon by Snargle Goldclaw from appearing in the Dragon Arena and Dragon Arena Survival maps. Fixed a server crash.
  3. 06/07/2022—June 7 Late Notes Raids Special Forces Training Area Mushroom King's Blessing: This special action skill will now correctly reset pet skills. Boons cast and maintained by players are no longer periodically removed when interacting with the arena console. Reapplied boons no longer freeze the client while the Hero panel is open. The downed NPC that appears when stealing from the golem no longer grants experience when revived. Condition immunity and direct (striking) damage now have appropriate toggles so they can be added to or removed from the respective golems. Strikes In the Kaineng Overlook Strike Mission, the challenge mode enrage timer will no longer run on normal mode. In the Kaineng Overlook Strike Mission, the Mech Rider will no longer sometimes turn friendly and stall progression when defeated.

Festive Fixes Updated the Hologram Stampede to relax the participation required for rewards when many players are fighting a single generator's holograms. Added a few extra piñatas to Hoelbrak so that determined adventurers can gather the daily bonus zhaitaffy in a single trip. Living World · Icebrood Saga episode daily achievement categories have been combined into a single category that rotates through all the episodes. General Fixed a bug that prevented Aurene from appearing in the Eye of the North for players during the "Champions" episode of the Icebrood Saga. Updated Mai Trin's appearance on the Aetherblade Retreat load screen. Cats associated with 2022 Extra Life charity donation incentives have appeared across Tyria, visible to players only while they are under the effects of the Chatoyant Elixir or Chatoyant Lens. The Fragment of Prismatic Shadows step of the Aurene's Facet of Shadows collection can now be completed by defeating the Risen High Wizard or successfully holding the Gates of Arah. DirectX 11 Cursor clipping now changes immediately when changing between full-screen and windowed modes. Cursor clipping is now disabled when the game window is not focused. Improved the clarity of the user interface when using non-native render resolution options. Full-screen windowed mode will now take effect on the nearest monitor instead of always using the primary monitor. When switching to windowed mode, the window will now shrink slightly. Fixed a bug in which ground-cover vegetation models (grass, flowers) were not responding to character presence. Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented footstep effects from rendering correctly. Special Forces Training Area The Special Forces Training Area contains a variety of valuable tools that players can use to test their strengths and hone their skills. Previously, this content was accessible only through the Lion's Arch Aerodrome and Arborstone, and it required that players be in a raiding squad to enter. With this update, we're lifting these restrictions and enabling more players to utilize the training opportunities within the area. The Special Forces Training Area is now accessible to everyone and no longer requires a raid squad. Mounts are now allowed in the Special Forces Training Area. Added a new entrance to the Special Forces Training Area in Lion's Arch. Dungeons Dungeons are the first instanced group content new players can experience in Guild Wars 2, and with this update we're looking to simplify and standardize their rewards structure for a more satisfying experience. A new global dungeon currency, Tales of Dungeon Delving, has been introduced. All previous dungeon currencies have been retired. Completing any dungeon will now award Tales of Dungeon Delving. Existing dungeon currencies will be converted to the new Tales of Dungeon Delving currency upon logging in. To purchase rare armor from a dungeon merchant, players are required to complete the dungeon story mode associated with the armor. To purchase exotic armor, weapons, and legendary gifts from dungeon merchants, players are now required to complete the dungeon explorable mode associated with the item. Note: Accounts that have already completed any story mode or explorable path before this change are exempt from this requirement. The final chest awarded after completing each explorable dungeon path will now award one piece of rare equipment. Items The Antique Dragon's Drape can now be infused.
  5. Hello everyone, we have an update from the Guild Wars 2 team. We'll be localizing this for German, French, and Spanish as soon as possible: Hi all, Last week we made some changes to the final encounter of the Jade Sea meta event to help improve the accessibility of the fight, and we’re happy to see that the rate of successful event completions continues to rise each day. We’ve kept a close eye on the community discussion after those updates were made, and today we have two more changes that we’d like to discuss. First, effective immediately, we’ve reduced the frequency at which the Jade Sea Final Boss activates their 'Tail' by about ~50%. This will give players longer windows to deal damage to the boss and contend with the various other mechanics of the encounter. To be clear, this change does not require a game build to take effect. Second, in the March 15 update, we’ll be providing players with an alternate path for acquiring the Siege Turtle Egg, which unlocks the collection required for the Siege Turtle mount. We’ll be adding a new vendor to the Jade Sea map that will sell the Siege Turtle Egg at the cost of 200 Writs of the Jade Sea. The Siege Turtle Egg will continue to be awarded to players that successfully complete the “Battle for Jade Sea” meta event, so players will have the choice to unlock the collection via a challenging meta encounter or through time investment. We’re looking forward to seeing how today’s “tail” adjustment plays out, and we’ll continue to iterate on the fight until it achieves our goal of being a challenging yet doable encounter for most of our players. Achieving that goal will require continued attention from us, and some patience and learning from our players. This situation feels not too dissimilar to the release of Tequatl, Triple Trouble, or Dragon Stand, all of which are popular encounters in Guild Wars 2 to this day. As always, thank you for your feedback! We'll see you in-game, The Guild Wars 2 Team
  6. Bug Fix: Removed the End of Dragons Expedition Contract from the Gem Store to avoid confusion. It will return after the End of Dragons Launch Supply Drop Requisition is no longer available.
  7. Since late October, we have been monitoring an increase in crashes while using the Gem Store interface. It's been challenging to nail down a fix since the circumstances causing it were unusual, but we're happy to report that we've just deployed an update that should address it. The changes should also reduce the time to open the Gem Store and improve performance while navigating between pages. Thank you for your patience while we hunted down this sneaky bug. If you encounter any more issues, please let us know using the in-game report feature.
  8. We're temporarily disabling the Tea Time Chair to address an issue. We'll re-enable the item as soon as it's fixed.
  9. Bug Fixes: Fixed a client crash. Fixed a server crash. Updated data for future End of Dragons launch bonuses.
  10. Let us know what you think about the siege turtle! What do you really like? What needs to be improved or adjusted?
  11. A message from the Guild Wars 2 Team: Hi all, We’re back with an update regarding the next beta test for WvW World Restructuring. On November 10, we announced that the November 12 beta was delayed while we address an issue that emerged late in our testing. We’ve since resolved that issue and are now targeting December 3 – December 10 for the next beta. On November 30, you’ll be able to choose which guild you’d like to matchmake with for the beta event via the WvW panel. You must make your guild selection by 11:59pm Pacific (UTC-8) on December 2 or you may be matchmade as an individual for the beta event (i.e. not with your guild). When the build goes live on November 30, WvW may be “disabled” for up to 30 minutes while we make some changes to the servers in preparation for the beta. More info on that below. Between November 30 and December 2, we’ll be running an at-scale “in the background” pre-test of the World Restructuring system using live player data. This test should not have an impact on your WvW experience, unless things break, in which case we’d roll back the changes immediately. On the back end, during this test World Restructuring will be fully enabled and we’ll be using it to matchmake players into the exact teams they’re already assigned to in the existing World Linking system. Again, you shouldn’t notice a difference in your current match up. It’s a nifty way to test matchmaking and team assignments before the beta starts at WvW reset on Friday. When the beta begins on Friday, players will be matchmade into new teams. If the pre-test fails, depending on the severity of the issue, we’ll either get a change in via hotfix before Friday or postpone the beta once more. We’ll keep you up to date on any changes. - The Guild Wars 2 Team
  12. Bug Fixes: Added a chest at the base of the Mad King's Clock Tower that can be opened in exchange for candy corn, allowing steady progression of the Court Duty: Terror of the Tower achievement between attempts at the tower. Fixed an issue that caused some items to display incorrect physics.
