Are these bite- sized updates the quarterly ones? So every 4 months?

Am I the only one that is majorly dissapointed with this update? I did story and map completion in an hour. I was expecting way more. Did I misunderstood what they promised us when they were selling us the expansion? Like what we got was really good, but it's hardly anything 😞 Just really sad when I finished it and that was it.

Suggestion: Make hair and beard color sepperate. Now with wizzards hat that you got from preordering the newest expansion you can dye you hair with the hat. Being able to do this made a lot more options exist. I usually use blonde hair and black beard on my characters in different games. At some point I will want to change away from the hat I think, cause it is rather big. Would be nice to have the option to have different colors of hair and beard even without the hat.

All in all this can be a cool feature to see in gw. But sadly Anet has a horrible track record so I'm extremely worried about how this will go. That being said I still feel they should push relics back untill they are done with the legendary relic. I do not want to sit here with exotic relics and struggle with different builds for God knows how long. Yes they say somewhere next year but since when do they keep a promise like that? If that was the case, I would be way more ok with that. I made all legendary runes, sigils and armors for a reason. I'm still working on all legendary weapons but I lost the will to play with this news.

If the Alac was a pulsing thing that went on during an overload then yes maybe. Now that its at the end of an overload is just silly. Even if you run the stab on overload trait you still get interrupted a lot and give 0 alac. If it was pulsing you would at least give some no matter what happens.

None of the explenations makes me feel any better though. But thanks for explaning I guess? Well what you guys call explaning in this case cause its not really I feel. I still have a lot of but why to almost every part.

Since when is asking for incompetent people to be fired on the same lvl as being sent death threats? I did neither but I am super salty about everything. If I do stuff at my job that pisses off the customers soo much as you all did then sorry i would be fired. You pushed a patch that no one liked. You didnt have to release this patch. I for example would have apreciated it way more if you made a post saying we read your concerns we will postpone the update patch. Now you push a horrible patch on us and hope people just move and forget while changing nothing? Maybe start listening to your playerbase and not these few elitist on a hidden secret discord. A PTR that everyone can acces would be an a good asset. Amazon got a lot of sh*t for New World but at least they listen to their players. You guys keep saying you will but in the end you never do. The amount of promisses anet made to make people silent is way too high. If they would actually keep their promisses we would get somewhere. I have 2 mains, ele and war. Now both are kittened so I have no other choice but to play Mechanist or Firebrand. These classes that anet devs favourited for so many years seriously need to stop. They promised it would change with this patch, but they made it worse.

Why is a tempest being forced to choose between being a hybrid alac dps or just a normal healer? Its perfectly fine if people wanna play an alac hybrid dps but why take it away from healing? Almost all other heal classes are allowed to heal and gives boons but we have to choose. Always loved tempest healer in raids but always gets frowned opon cause it only heals. This changes nothing and is not what they said they were going to do.

Me swapping to another character doesnt make me spent more money. But yeah I'm sure you are right that some do that and they make money that way. I still feel like people would spent more if it was acc wide.

Hello everyone, I was told by the support team to write on the forum here cause the dev team reads every post on here they said so here I go! I'm an elementalist main. Thats kind of all I want to say about that. I want to change mains. What is stopping me? All the money I invested on my main character. From inventory slots to build templates to equipment templates. Thats not the only part that would suck when I would swap mains but still. The current state of elementalist, well the last few years basicly, is making me not enjoy the game anymore. If they would bring out a one time profession change for 2000 gems, I would gladly buy that. This sounds pretty unrealistic because gw2 is a game that promotes having alt characters. Thats why changing character bound to account bound a massive change for me. Would they make less money if they did that? I honestly don't know. I don't know how many of those other people buy. I do know that for me, I would buy way more of those if they were account bound. Now I have a few for my main and that is it. I find it a waste on my other characters. Am I the only one that would like this change to be implemented or am I being completely wrong? Please share your thoughts and opinions 🙂 cheers

As a person that played ele from day 1, don't do it. Anet hates ele. Seriously though make another class. You will regret it if you make an ele.

People keep telling others to just swap mains. After all that time? After everything I did on it? I did every story on my ele, only did map completion once, on my ele. Every achievement I got I did on ele. Yes we have been here before. I have stopped playing the game before. I even tried swapping mains once. Just couldn't keep doing it. After all those hours on the same character its not easy to just swap. My ele is my character I created on day 1. Never deleted it or restarted it. After all that work I refuse to change alts cause anet is bad at making classes playable. It makes me feel like they only play necro and guard cause those keep being op and hardly get nerfed. I doubt a single person there even reads their own forum. I played New World and they give AGS a lot of bad stuff that is deserved. But at least they read their forum and try to adjust. Anet gives 0% of care.

I really hope Anet watches wooden patoes video on the current state of the game. He nailed it for me at least. I haven't played the game propperly in almost a year now if not longer. There is sadly not a lot that is keeping me there. Please Anet go watch it, if you haven't already and learn! Cheers

tell me your secret then because I wanna know how you can keep yourself busy for a month or 2 with this latest patch?

For me this yet again proves that this is the beginning of the end. We have huge periods of content drought, if we finally get something in lacks in many ways. We did the story in an hour and it didn't make me wanna stay and keep playing the game. I love this game but I hate what anet is doing to it. They need to step up their game and fast or this game will die out even more then it is now. The fact that the player base has never been this low and that even content creators cancel their partnership kinda says it all. But they are not listening. Just look at the patch notes. Half of it is more gem stores items for sale! Don't they realise that if they don't have content players won't come back? If you don't have players how do you expect to sell gem store items? I know some will dissagree but I love this game and hate what is happening to it.

All I feel like saying now is but but why? Like it could be nice and all but I feel like this is not a needed feature. Wish they spend their time on more usefull stuff. Like hearing this doesn't make me feel like oh wow awesome I'm coming back to the game now! But hey if there are people out there that like it then good. This is just how I feel.

For me it kinda depends on whether or not the equipment templates purchases are acc bound or character bound. Like if I buy an extra one on one character does it unlock for all. If the answer is yes it unlocks for all then I'm fine with it. If it character bound then it's gonna be a but less for me. But thats personal. I have several characters that can use more then 2 equipment templates so if its charactert bound then thats gonna be very expensive for me. Dunno if I'm willing to do that then.

I play wvw to have fun and socialise with people. Which usually means talk to them. If you are gonna link different languages then whats the point of joining? I'm now a EU server linked to a german one. Global chat is filled with german that I hardly understand. Yes the commander yells some known words here and there but thats about it. Now you are forcing me to changed to a main EU server if I want socialise. The EU is not like the US where you can link the servers. There are languages that you should just devide. And this has nothing to do with where they are from or who they are. I just wanna talk to people that I can understand and who understand me. And no I don't want to be the annoying person that constantly has to ask please talk english because I can't understand you. They joined a german/french/ spanish server for the same reason I joined a european/english one. So I think this is a bad idea that I think should be undone asap.

They are a US based company, so usually other US based companies are going to be the ones willing/wanting to partner with them for promotions. But not all US based companies reach outside of the US like Anet does. So things get limited. They said they are looking to get some stuff for EU people and your response is to indirectly call them liars. That is not very encouraging to Anet. Regional promotions are super common. Even really large and world-wide companies will have region specific promotions. like Pokemon does Japan-only promotions all the time and no one stomps their feet and tries to call it "discrimination". Anet has never done a promotion that was specific to EU only. At least half their player base is EU. I doubt they are now gonna change their ways. Like I said the outfit has nothing to do with alienware this is just them. So an easy code for an outfit is just not possible for EU players? And if you are already registered to the Alienware website you get nothing. First seeing then believing but I have a feeling I'll be fine. I agree that they need to do an EU promotion. I agree that it is long past due. I do not agree with how people talk about the situation. Especially with calling it "discrimination" in some posts. Anet needs to increase their reach in EU and attract potential partners. So if I understand this correctly, the US had a chance to get the outfit last time because it was US only and now they do this shit again and the people that already have the outfit can get it again? And EU player can get an egg! yaaay! I understand the alienware part but don't say it's because of them EU people can't get the outfit. I know anet is a US based company but why open server en EU if you don't really care about them? And don't say we will get some stuff for EU soon! We all know you all just saying that to make people shut up.

It does usually take up to a week or longer to reply. Sometimes they just don't depending on the question. I would suggest you just delete all your characters and stuff you have in your bank. That's the closest you can get. You do have the achievements still though. But completely starting over would mean you would have to buy all the lw seasons for gems again as well. You sure you want that? Just start over with a new character :)
