  1. I would said that the ICD is coming to stop Bladesworn take too much advantage. Standard build count 5 movement skills but y can pack even more if you want. If he can get stab and remove inmobilize with movement skills it can become an unstoppable force. so ICD have sense but 5s would be good enough to provide counter play.
  2. POV WvW and Pvp I genuinely like staff. It is a support weapon but with the amount of utility that it have packed can also be used as a defensive weapon set. (Block, CC, unblockeable, mobility and some healing even without healing power) I feel that when they merge skill 3 they should keep the damage of the skill because it feels odd to have no damage at all but that’s my only “ complain” if they improve the pure damage weapons as GS or Axe so they do a comparable damage to other clases and mix it with staff u have a really nice weapon set.
  3. I’ve enjoyed this beta a lot… From PvP/WvW perspective the weapon perform good, great healing, boons and mobility. As a small scale player that ehat you need to support an small group. I’ve loved the staff design and skills (even if 3 pathing and 5 stop by AA had to be addressed) we are on the beta so I would say that I’ve like it and will be great as soon as those 2 issues are resolved. I would say that I’m not a big fan of 3 enemy/ally split… I could live with it. Additionally regeneration it’s not needed on burst if is on AA so different boons based on adrenaline levels would be fun. (Maybe one short stack of stability on 3 bars) for the people that had issues with Adrenaline generation I would suggest them to go Core. I’m using tactics, disciple and defense if full support or arms if hybrid celestial with staff/ sword+wh and adrenaline flow easy. Defense or Arm are great for Adrenaline generation so I’ve found that Core is the option that works best for me. It’s good that finally Core have its own spot to shine in front of Elite xpecs
  4. This is almost the only warrior chance to be played on WvW roaming…. If they keep removing tools soon you will not see any warrior roamers (and we are already not many of us)
  5. I think that wouldn’t be OP but would provide some extra functionality and a reason to go for core instead of other things (1k hp healing on its own can’t compete with xpec mechanics)
  6. Agree on this… having regeneration on the AA you can potentially have that boon permanently so no need for more… however vigor, aegis or even low amount of stability would be great…. maybe even different boon depending on the amount of adrenaline so stability (strongest boon from that list) is stuck for core…. Providing Core with some love.
  7. I hope that if it’s a rifle, It would be a long range weapon that cans DPS from distance. (Hopefully non proyectile 😂) GS is a 1200 but to do the real spike damage you need to get close. So with dagger, sceptre and GS mid range us already covered.
  8. It’s me or Psychic Riposte on Virtuoso only get the unblockable with dodge but not with bock or evade as before? because that is a big nerf to the trait … it hurt almost as much as Bladesong Rewuiem 😰
  9. Tbh (not trolling) I genuinelly like Virtuoso.... I though that I would not like it on release but after test it I've love it. It add something new to the mesmer capabilities changing the gameplay experience..... Od course It is not perfect.... I think that is good that the reduce the stand by moments if they provide some extra funcionallity in exchange (Blade Renewal & Bladeturn Requiem) but as a concept and playability its fun.
  10. I guess that your build and equipment is not ready for SOLO roam these days.... (...Chrono is still good for group roaming) First of all I would says that if you want to roam solo with core or chrono you will have a hard time....you dont have enough movility / defenses to compete with other roamers. It is posible but you need to outplay your oponent a lot. To have an "easy" roam with mesmer you woul need a Mirage or Virtuoso the two other expasion profesion for mesmer that would allow you to fill the gaps and make your life easier. If you dont want to buy new content you have to options... Stick to Core / Chrono and get tough after many respawns or Change to another class that allow you to roam with Hot xpecs (DareDevil, Druid, Scrapper, or Dragon Hunter would be better solo roamers than Chono or Core Mesmer) See below for a roamer Tier List and some build examples / guides / Demontrations. https://guildjen.com/wvw-roaming-tier-list-2023/ See below one of the few mesmer main roamers still active and using all xpecs even core or chrono. 11. I would prefer an short or even single hit block than barrier. All the class synergy spine bone to bocks for the dagger generation. Mesmer traits out ofVirtuoso are balanced for clones… Changing from 3 clones to 5 daggers make the general purpose core Mesmer traits insufficient to refill fast and force Virtuoso way to be reliant to generate the extra push on daggers generation within its trait line. To do that you need evades or blocks. That is why I think that barrier doesn’t synergies with the trait line or even the concept of Virtuoso. That’s why a single attack block or evade would synergy better with the class that any amount of barrier.
  12. If they remove the block and dont increase the damage (Scrapper Shredder Gyro vives) or implement other kind of functionallity (like Illusionary Riposte blocking a SINGLE attack a providing some kind of counter attack after.... like Full Counter from SpellBreaker vives but smaller) If they only remove the block and nothing else, the skill becomes a long channeled skill that consume your blades and have no damage while you are stuck in the animation.... .... that will be the never, ever, at all touch button... .... @Cal Cohen.2358 if that is the case, I may even unbind that skill from my keyboard just in case xD
  13. …. Thank you very much for the guides! It’s been really useful for People trying to learn a the class (as I’m doing now 😅) It help me to improve my knowledge and understand the limitation of Sic’em SB but by surprise I’ve got hit by the Rabid Druid and I’m loving it so much that now I can’t progress with the other build 😂 Sad hear that you are leaving… hope see u back soon 👍🏼
  14. yeah, that is how you do the double leap! 👍🏼 …. when I’ve said double bird I was meaning double movement pet… you are right, my bad 🙂 So as racer, SB Eternal Bond, double movement pet with Sword / GS is the fastest one…. But that is good for racing, not that good for battle. So Druid that put staff 3 (20sCD) and Untamed hammer (20sCD) with 1200 mobility (let’s count both have GS for example so we can ignore second weapon) Druid have 3s SuperSpeed on CA10sICD but Untamed have the Hammer Ambush with 15s ICD and 2s SuperSpeed effect plus Unnatural Transversal 900 distance (20s /40s CD) and FS or FF traits. So Druid will only potentially be faster (on perfect conditions race) if you do the pet swap trick at the end of Staff 3 to reduce the CD and abuse that while FS FF and UT are not a thing for untamed. However in battle Untamed may be faster because you can use FS trait adding base movement or FF reducing your CDs and UT skill with reduced CD for burst movement.
  15. I will add coin… Untamed may not the fastest by design but it can be pretty fast…. SB Eternal Bond and double bird is the fastest one hands down…. but Untamed can be as fast as Druid or SB with only one or no bird …. something that no one mention (or I didn’t see at least) is the 1200 hammer movement (double hammer 5 leaps, 600+600) plus hammer ambush skill that give you “super speed” effect. (See Vallun Untamed Roaming build on Guildjen.com … on the comments they explain how to do the leaps) that Added to the low CD teleport with target with Super Speed and the core stuff GS or Sword or perma swiftness (super speed with speed rune) make you a quite mobile and fast class able to scape or chase target’s nicely.
  16. I’ve suggested Sceptre because I think that the range us less important than the projectile thing. That why even having a 1500 range weapon the only use that we can do with it us the arrow cart build. @Infusion.7149you want Zerg play for Ranger and I want the same. However see a non projectile rifle is as likely to see an sceptre with 1200 range. (No chance) Ele staff have AA but the have enough skills to don’t actually use them on Zerg play while Reve hammer only AA is projectile while the main skills have low CD so us a filler in the best case. It is more likely to see an off hand with good utilities (eg chrono) than non projectile rifle, projectile is part of the main design of rifle for this game, every rifle is a projectile wrapping and I’ve doubted that is going to change. As @RainbowTurtle.3542 mention before, Rifle fill the same gap as LB, 2 hands long range protective damage. Nothing new for ranger so that would be bland and boring… I would rather prefer something fresh and new. (Speaking about mechanics)
  17. Untamed is really good small-mid scale fight however the dependency on pet for this class is high and that lock it out of big scale unless you can revive the pet on a reliable way or much better stow and drop it on demand. (As mechanist which is not perfect but still better than what we have) all the previous suggestions looks ok, the healing part could be kind of a patch for random pressure but because the pet don’t exactly follow you path you dodges will not necessary save it from boms or high pressure areas di the pet die and…. That’s it, your specialty (according to Anet) is gone.
  18. I would said that Magic theme fits more that Tech theme for the ranger (even if nowadays hunters use rifles) rifle would be just ANOTHER long range dps wrapon… we already have LB for that. …as @Kodama.6453said before we have a trait line called nature magic….. let’s embrace it 🤣 …. Much better something new, non projectile weapon (sceptre) or something with utility that ranger don’t have now (shield or focus)
  19. As said before, all can be good but depending on you play style or the environment (is enemy are another solo roamers or ganking squads or zergs….) Druid: medium damage high survability. High mobility and the extra stealth and re sustain potential of CA. (Condi Druid can be almost inmortal, if you cannt kill you almost always can scape) good against ganking squads. SoulBeast high damage medium survability. High constant damage with burst potential and potential super high mobility to scale of things go sour. Probably the best dueler from all three agains other single roamers. Untamed really high damage (potential one shot burst) mid-low survability…. It need lots of micro managing and well used us pretty survival even outnumbered but it’s harder to play than the previous ones. High risk high reward, well played can be outshine the other two but it’s harder to master.
  20. So I guess that we agree that FF on its current state is a problem on PvE. PvE people (in general) want it to go, PvP and WvW people don’t see issues with it. the Debate now I guess that is if an overturned and abused trait on one game mode is enough to provoke the remove from it on the other two game modes where it’s not a problem.
  21. So I guess that we agree that FF on its current state is a problem on PvE. 22. First if all Im not claiming that FF is on its best implementation, I just think that a full remove would hurt build diversity. You can change it by Alacrity on CC and I would be still happy because still something new for rangers that add diversity. Anyway, again you are pointing from PvE approach, I understands why you don’t want both effects stack but again, that us just an issue on PvE……. Stack effects between few people on PvP or roaming is not a reliable enough (see roaming builds a videos on YT) and something based CC for Zerg plays where the standards are perma Stab during clash moments so tiggers on CC don’t add anything. FF is just a problem for PvE, so if you change the 4s to 1s or convert it to Alacrity so don’t stack problem solved without a full remove.
  23. FF it’s just another way of tempo trait that use CD reduction approach. According to that any class with access to Alacrity or any kind of CD reduction should be gutted on the long run… but it’s not. Alacrity it’s been a thing for years without any issue as long as it’s done in a balanced way…. Just because it’s broke on PvE do t mean that it’s bad for the game or other game modes (that why Anet create the splits between game modes) so stop generalising. You have a trait that it’s been abused on PvE, balance it on the PvE split, change the overwhelming 4s gainst unmoving mobs to 2s or 1s and happy days. Alacrity, Improvisation (thief trait), Chrono F5, and other CD reductions are been in the game for a while without been a problem for their clases as long as they are balanced for each game mode
  24. Every day when I play PvP and WvW….. 80% of the Untameds on those game modes use LB GS with Ferocious Simbiosis. That is the PvP Meta. the build and works great so the class is not balanced around FF and works perfectly without it. For Competitive modes players FF is a breeze of air that open build diversity for people that want to explore out of Meta adding a tempo trait that it’s nos just (another) a healing or dps (boring) modifier something different for ranger class. You keep speaking and ask for the trait to be removed based on your game mode (PvE) where that trait is a problem because the 4s thing is ridiculous. We can agree that FF with 4s is overturned and carry the class on PVE, but don’t forget that there is more world beyond benchmarks with other approaches. open your mind and think that pother people play other game modes so we may have different points of view an requirements. we play different stuff. For us this trait brings a bit of build diversity so why don’t tone down your 4s to something more reasonable so it’s not abused and slow build diversity for you too PvE guys….
