  3. ya this is hardly an exploit, espeically if they had control of the tower as well which is all you need to glide in these zones and if its their citadel then it "should" be their garrison 90% of the time, in which case its a non-issue.

  6. the only mechanic you really have to care about in observatory is the big damage circle you have plenty of time to dodge out of, and in the cerus strike needing to know which two to kill can be considered difficult, but I'd say its within range of boneskinner difficulty up or down depending on how much your group pays attention
  7. +infinity to steve in wvw, especially if he's insanely busted the first week he's added for extra chaos Also I'd really like to see anet add holiday wvw maps, like imagine if we could turn DBL or one of the alpine borderlands into a mad realm inspired map for Halloween and a scaled up version of the infinitarium for wintersday

I'm fine with qs and noobs running around having no idea what they should be doing/are doing because it means that at least a fraction of them might consider staying which is great for the long term health of wvw as a gamemode, cornerstone or not. hopefully when wsr is out servers will have enough room to accommodate the influx from events better though

The effect was consistent/repeatable sure, but constantly applying might every 3 or 2 if we assume the new one seconds is required even before the first time it goes off and be in combat, which means in most content players would have spent their burst damage by the time the might bonus activated. It would maybe be ok if the charges before 10 didn't expire so you could precast or sync it with the burst though

I can understand being afraid of/not wanting to deal with community backlash to new updates but at least consulting a handful of players with experience in these classes could probably have avoided cluster bomb nerfs like lowering scepter damage in general for thief And it would be a source for meaningful buffs to things like the relic of mabon which is probably going to be unplayable even if they lower the cooldown to 1s without changing how it works
  12. this has happened to me multiple days in a row so hopefully anet will implement a fix soon and give back lost AA from this bug
  13. Honestly I just think theres too many factors to make rank meaningful on an individual level, I could maybe see doing it on the guild/alliance level though for matchmaking purposes but even then it'd be incredibly rough and not actually tell you that much

Gift of battle farmers got solid buffs this year, spend a while in wvw just flipping camps if you're bad till you have the diamond chest and you'll be getting a GoB every 4 hours, or 2 with boosters, wvw is not unplayable and you'll probably just want to target objectives that are still coming off of RI (the effect that prevents capture) so that it doesn't matter if people get there 5 years before you or run with a zerg like everyone else is saying
  15. I don't think gliding should really be added to EOTM without territorty zones being added as well, because part of what makes it more interesting is the threat of just being knocked into the void, but mounts and speed boosts for sure are vital
  16. Honestly id prefer more betas to alliances without alliances, even if they aren't testing anything rolling it out incomplete sounds like an awful idea
  17. Personally I think owp is fine in wvw because while you get pewpew cheesed if dodging is too hard, you can just not engage a ranger solo.

  19. Honestly if you read into what OP is saying; instanced OS like eotm would be like you play OS with teams from all servers, so it would maybe actually help it be a little more lively if that was something anet wanted to encourage
  20. this also belongs in the general wvw forum, but I've had the most success with waiting to kill attackers till they are inside or while they're on a gate or something, theres some kind of aoe similar to the presence in which kills count and if they're outside of it they don't. I'd honestly be down for the aoe to be expanded though, because without wall rep counting it makes getting defenses in small scale very hard even though sometimes the small fights matter more than the blob v blob in a paper tower 😛

Today I was doing this event and we had gotten all of the mobs returned to normal, but because the flute mechanic just sends the mobs wherever they want to go it took so long to get all of them into pens that my event greyed out and I received no credit for "inactivity" even though I was actively struggling to get animals back into their pens Either the pathing needs to be improved, or the flute should be a strict tether that you can make them follow you with rather than going wherever they please to prevent this because otherwise its impossible to keep up event credit
  22. god this would be so fun I need it, though they'd probably have to make it so that you can't cut the parachute until you're below a height you'd normally be able to get to for gliding reasons
  23. The weeklies shouldn't be affected because they said they're only really getting rid of the generic dailies tab and associated achievements, I imagine these weeklies will be like, bonus weeklies
  24. Honestly I've been getting server lag even in smallscale fights, its getting really obnoxious when my skills won't even go off when I'm fighting like 10 max or people jump around for no reason

Not going to bother quoting the whole thing since you clearly don't play wvw much, but there's a difference between the throwable Target Painter, and the target painter trap which you can only place one of. Target painters can be thrown and still have a duration but will not overrwrite your other traps, if you play wvw frequently you will get skirmish chests which believe it or not have an option to pick a tricks and traps box. Thief portals work exactly like every other portal except for the fact that they're one way and grant stealth, and saying that you would have to remove the other portals is just fair because fixing any bugs there may be are not related to thief having a portal. You also don't have to sit in the tower for one whole hour, it passes really quickly if you ever actually spent any time roaming and you paid attention to swords on a map.
