  1. Actually it is probably the only profession that its main mechanic it is not doing what RP says it does, the clones are no doing any mind games on people, we all know who the real mesmer its just that people have to play Red light till the defenses run dry. To me that is failed design, even the most terrible specs cover the fantasy of what they are trying to do. Maybe only Virtuoso does RP part well cause they cut the core mechanic.
  2. @SlayerXX.7138 There was a big rework for pvp around POF I think that started the large drop off it came with the new lobby the tournament system, but they touched up the ranked system where the duo queue came from, the big issue I see is that they made everyone start ranked at around 1200 rating which is Gold 2 which is terribly close in the matchmaker to both silver and platinum, before that you started at the bottom and grinded up slowly so you got the sense of progression, now you start higher and you finish the season +-100 rating around the the rating you got after the first 10 matches. I personally think that the whole thing with the short seasons and everything around it kittened the game up.
  3. If you look at what Arenanet has been doing with PVP modes for years, it really seems that they really want to kill it off. There is no development for the PVP mini games and they are tucked away hidden really really well, WvW and SPVP are basically separated from the game again tucked away in the UI, the Leaderboards for activities don't show anything( and if they made them show people will notice that allot of them are cheated and nothing is done about it), the SPVP being depressing and being disjointed islands, the place suck even for just waiting for a game, the reward tracks stopped being added and having the cool pve items in them . I don't think the only reason is resources , someone there is pushing PVP modes out because they cause conflict and they in their small mind thing they are losing player count because of it or just hate people trying to excel at the game, then pander to may fly players that just play for a while and leave the game forever. It also seems that there is someone at Anet that is somehow helping the psyho toxic players do whatever they want.
  4. The fun stuff is that the people at the top that complained about the long queues long ago are rigging the leaderboard now and the amount of effort they put in that is way more then just asking for the rest of the high leaderboard people to queue up at the same time. The problem , most of them are cowards and queue dodged each other even back then.
  5. It was good enough at the start but it was working as intended and did damage , people complained that all damage warrior without defenses killed them Anet nerfed the perfectly fine numbers and made the skill hit for kitten all and never changed it back. It wasn't amazing build , one dimensional do damage and nothing else but it was perfectly viable as a pick in pvp or wvw . The whole point of the rework then was to make it push more damage , but anet didn't let It in pvp and wvw , pretty stupid considering there were multiple build that could push the same damage and be able to defend themselves. The same kitten with Bladesworn they market it as hyper damage spec but in pvp it didn't do any, the kitten is wrong with Anet idk.
  6. None can create anti stealth area like this https://www.wowhead.com/spell=1543/flare The ones you have are single target that you can apply after the invisible guy is no longer in stealth. Also they don't come in the full package but really niche skills that usually do not that big value if there is no stealth involved meaning they are mostly useless. I'll give even an example of how kitten stealth is, both teams stealth up at the start and wait for the other group to lose stealth, for me that is lame as kitten considering almost every other strat has more active and obvious counter. Personally I think there should be counter strats for every nonsense that pops up, throw allot aoes someone presses a skill and punishes you for spamming, bunker up someone starts scalling more damage of your defenses , teleport allot chains that drag you to the fight, Stealth the whole team for opener someone throws an AOE reveal and GGs you for kittening up.
  7. GANG GANG!!! WE NEED MORE SPINS EVEN!! 3 is not enough! GS needs more spins somewhere, hundred blades seems to be the best place, I want a whirl wind Diablo barbarian build for berserker. The shame is that guardian gets to spin way more then warrior, the kittening paladins took away the ICONIC kitten.
  8. Anet reduced the cast time of the wrong skill, the spiny spin on arc divider is fun the I sit on a spot and flail around Hundred blades is not Fun . The thing is they are making the balance on spreadsheet with cold hard math, which is good on the metrics but now they are ruining the Cool factor. It happened with Bladesworn the Iaido kitten is cool the rest of the kit not so much and has that clunky feeling in between big bursts. I think people prefer the cool factor over min maxed optimized rotation even if the cool one does 3k less dps or something, case and point people played Reaper when it was the lowest dps build, why cause spin to win is Cool.
  9. Wvw just has higher percent of people with delusion of competence. Spending allot of time in the safety bubble of the zerg gives too much confidence that they know the game and then they get roamed and cry OP even though WvW is based on Macro level where the builds effect the whole group not some guy ganking walk of shame zerglings.
  10. I think it would have been better if one of the professions had more F skills. For a moment there Bladesworn could have been it, but the extra skills just restrict it even more then the other specs. Berserker could have potentially been quickness buffer if anet was applying their formula. I think Spellbreaker potentially has more room RP wise to fill other playstiles focused more on defensive support like Tanks in other mmos but with the GW2 twist of being hybrid healer or buffer. You can't deny that the specs need something extra to do so they don't overlap and default to melee dps that spams burst skills off cooldown. There isn't much room for interesting builds since warrior is locked on the utilities and weapons to perform a single task. A flip over skills would be good, but I think utilities would be the better pick. Another is getting weapon bundles that warrior lost from banners , that was 20 skills lost right there, yes they sucked but what other profession lost access to so many skills in a patch, basically reducing the options it has.
  11. The current "OP" Reaper build is the condi version that doesn't use the quickness trait, the power version is kinda "meh" in the current Meta. Come on people at least try understand the game a little.
  12. The funny part here is that for the most of the life cycle of the game Warrior has been on the support side of things in PVE and WvW and not getting a single vaguely supportive elite spec, all defaulted to melee bruiser. Anet is so oblivious to the obvious that most useful warrior builds in the game have been revolving around support without having a full build for it. Anet needs hard reality check since they can't live in their dumb bubble and produce garbage.
  13. Here is not so hot take Catalyst was fine"ish" before the Scepter rework, ignoring the kinda broken numbers(that can be fixed) and the confetti particle fart clouds covering the not so well telegraphed actual damage skills, the spec was fine as semi melee bruiser with obvious push and pull mechanics since vulnerability phase was when it was attacking or trying to reach the target to attack, the moment they gave the scepter rework they made melee bruiser spec have range burst damage which removed the vulnerability phase.
  14. One of the big issues I find in Arms for Pvp is that that it doesn't have sustain and I think making the signet passive not disabled when using the active based on a trait can make it good enough and also add the drawback of needing signet.
  15. Most of the amulets that could promote bunkering got removed cause it slowed the game way down, the amulets that did damage and could bunker on specific professions got removed , for one cause Cele is kitten and the other Cele is builshit and can only be used on few professions while for the rest is useless. It is clear that development has focused on not letting squating on node till the end of the game to be valid way of playing, since it is boring. I think the expertise amulets removal was a mistake, instead of balancing the conditions with them in mind we got lazy balance for conditions and even power builds can abuse condion overload without repression.
  16. Pretty sure Anet made the spinny spin skill on gs to not slow you down, quite big buff and people complain about irrelevant damage coefficient , kinda ungrateful.
  17. If there are no more elite specs but only reworks in the future a pseudo elite specs taken from core traitlines and adding enough new buttons or mechanics to the profession could give enough variety to builds that the loss of elite spec would not be felt that bad . Actually giving different functional niche with just enough role play feel that differentiates from the rest of the specs could potentially the core profession more than leveling spec and make actual great way to play. Quite frankly it could be sold as the "new" elite specs without incuring too much technical debt and too much balance issues. Having the elite specs be their own thing with their special f2 and core with its designated mechanics could potentially push it to be its own thing instead of pushing elites as total upgrades over it and just making them a side grade specialized in something specific.
  18. The elite specs already have their f2, the core "elite" specs will basically get specialized in the thing of the line and will somewhat function like dual specs. This can work well across all professions since we ain't getting any more elite specs anyway so this is one way to fix the gap. For the dropdown thing, I think it will be way better to be decoupled from weapons , since most of them are kind of kitten and I'm not seeing them going over all of them, and getting more utility slots will give more space for builds, while second burst skill will just end up with even more dead skills that no one uses since they will boil to bonk heads in a different way cause of Anet's skills design these days. The simpler the better extra shouts, extra banners, extra physical skills will just give enough depth without needing too much balancing. I get the weapon master thing but warrior is already way too hamstrung into weapons to do things and little bit of leeway for skills will go a long way.
  19. Maybe F2 could be based on the traitline equipped in the elite spec slot and turn them into side grade elites and when it is sloted there some of the traits get upgraded but also kind of restrict you in that role. Or it could be dropdown skill like the Revenant legends, basically extra utility skills.
  20. Well no one does the PoF Metas, a little polish here and there and some luck drops like the rune and they kill two birds with one stone.
  21. The animation is cool and I think it should be moved to Berserk like Nero from DMC 4 or Stands from JoJo, for one it seems that berseker mode is not that visable when you put it in the lightshow the other is the cool factor. The other option is to make it part of quick dps build for Berserker , something like Bloodlust on Rehgar from Hots. I don't get why the animation is so hidden when warrior doesn't have that many cool ones.
  22. The whole system is kinda kitten, considering that the 1 place is RNG (which you can see in the Death match leaderboard where people on the same team have different ratings), the spots over 50 being more about Meta gaming the system and not playing the game and requiring ridiculous win rates just to stay at the same position at some point for most people you get a pointless Leaderboard. The funny part is that the META gaming the leaderboard affects everyone, so it is not restricted to the wackadoos that do it but everyone that plays the game for fun. Combination with this and the fact that new people start at Gold 2, as a casual long term player somewhere in Platinum you get to experience all the annoying people from noobs to leaderboard nutjobs, which funnily enough act the same. So most people will drop the game when they hit the churn point where you deal with both supper noob games and hyper AT games when you roll the dice on the next queue.
  23. They could add some traits that change abilities like on Mechanist spellbreaker can become Tank healer thing based on the Full counter and other thing of jigs, maybe traits change dagger skills or some kitten too. Kinda Dream about Spear kit for the elite skill that has the current WoD as 5 skill. Berserker could take the Quickness role somehow from core like Harbinger but less boring, maybe on burst it gives quickens with some trait and every time you give out Quickness it uses the Wild Blow Bear animation but lingers for little bit longer so you could see it. Another option is giving core "elite" spec where when you slot one of the core traitlines in the elite slot you get extra skills on the bar, if get boring you slot tactics and you get 2 shouts on the special F keys next to the burst or some kitten. Also they will backtrack on the no Elite specs when they can't sell the "mini expansions' at some point, cause by the looks of it 2/3 of the game ain't getting kitten and they will be needing selling points, maybe after the second one they will bend.
