  1. I did first mission of SotO on the day of premiere on one character and it was fine, but today I wanted to start it on another character, did the mission twice, always crashing at the moment when you see what happend after you clear your firsts rifts and go out to the open. I'm supposed to see SotO title screen, but it doesn't appear and after few sec I get "lost connection to server" Edit: mission is "2. Hell Breaks Loose"
  2. That's why you should state it right at the beginning, in LFG. People left because they joined not knowing they won't get experience they want. As for leaving after not clearing first try...that's another issue that is persistent in both meta and nonmeta squads.

  4. Why are you mad about these responses? 1st tells you that you should maybe try out different things that fit the meta rn. 2nd tells you that your play style may fit better somewhere else As for making your own group... You misunderstood. It's not about leading, but about communication. You can join meta group and politely ask if they are willing to try out different approach. You can also do your own group and communicate how you want to approach things. Back when druid was almost only healer in raids I played Herald as main healer. I made my own group, didn't expect 250li, said what I bring to the table and what I need others to bring to compansate in other places. I didn't give people false expectations of meta speedclearing. People who wanted meta didn't join or left when they saw this isn't what they want. But I found other people that wanted to have less optimal raid and we had fun!
  5. I think here may be your problem. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you want fun for yourself, but you don't really care for fun for others. People like pushing themselves to the limit and seeing if they can get higher numbers. People like competing with others in group on terms of DPS. And lastly, people train thier builds with Alac and Quickness so they lose rhythm when they don't have them and it may be frustrating, when you can't play the way you practiced for hours. As I said in previous post, I agree with you that these boons are the problem. But I cannot agree with your point of view, as I believe you're taking it the wrong way. I don't mean to attack you personally here, just your opinion. Sorry if I made you sound like villain here, maybe I'm reading it with wrong context.
  6. To be honest, alacrity and quickness are issue and probably game would be better off without them. But I highly doubt it is possible to remove them at this point, after so many years... As for why I see them an issue? It's not because they are mandatory, they are not, we can clear raids without them, we can still fit in time. But we want to do everything we can to make run smooth and easy (and fun!). I think these boons are an issue because they are limiting. But not in a way people talk about it here, it's not about what class can and cannot provide it. It's about flexibility of how we can build our characters. On healers we run Harrier and Minstrel to get enough boon duration while also having high healing. But the key here is boon duration. If we weren't supposed to provide those boons we would be able to run many other gear combinations. Now that everyone gets some kind of basic boons, getting rid of quickness and alacrity would allow to personalize builds. But as I said, after so many years, we can't just remove something, backlash would be huge, many people would leave, people don't like loosing power and don't like change. However this is my personal opinion, I do not stand in total opposition, I like playing quickness builds both as DPS and healer. I will still enjoy game despite what I personally believe would be healthier for the meta.
  7. Well, I see separating them as "easy option" that is less risky to make totally broken espec. But as I also mentioned, running both legends would require some runes that benefit both power and healing. (PvE POV) There is also thing with energy, as if those are as one legend, they share energy bar, and Alliance Tactic doesn't replenish it. On the side note, I'd love to see your build (if it's PvE)
  8. I'm wondering if swapping Alliance is even a thing in any gamemode. I know that in PvE instanced content it is not used, and no wonder why (can't really do healing DPS build, no runes fit for that, not to mention it would not fit in meta), but I do not know if it is used somewhere else. If it isn't, then maybe splitting it into two legends would allow buffing them separately.
  9. While I love buffs to Rev, I think Vindivator may get too much dps with this, it's already easy to get in top3 dps in PUGs. Other than that, I feel that heal herald and heal vindicator need more love as well. Herald needs just a little bit more, maybe buff to shield, so it can be viable weapon swap to staff. Vindi on the other hand needs a lot... or maybe a way to get dps-heal role? utilize swapping and unleash his full potential!
  10. I believe that thier idea for Vindicator is just not suited to current meta. I think the idea would to be to run something like Zealot's (power, precision, healing power). And be off-healing dps. It does sound weird, I know, but when you look at the kit and how to make use out of swapping, it kind of makes sense. I have no idea if it would actually work, but maybe it's worth testing on strikes.
  11. As for sacrificing much when going Jalis instead of Ventari. It's not really that much, here's why: 1. As Herald you have strongest regeneration in whole game, that's very nice passive healing. 2. Shield 4, Staff 4 are strong burst heals, Staff 2 is small, but respectable heal 3. If with shield you also take mace, you can blast some fields, mace 2 have fire field, Jalis stab is light and you can use other's fields as well 4. Facet of Nature on Jalis reduce dmg taken by your party, thus you need less healing.
  12. Now I can't tell if you're serious. What forums have to do with fun? Do you base your enjoyment on what others say? I consider warrior fun to play based on fun I get from playing it. I do think there are some things to change, that's why I mentioned cutting CD on trait and I will continue to suggest more changes in small steps.
  13. They already said that change won't affect WvW after all, see DevTracker 😉
  14. If you want improvements then suggest them. Saying you had more fun 10 years ago has no way of making impact at current and future state of the game 😉
  15. This is amazing, I'd love seeing spellbreaker in PvE! However, I'd slightly cut the cooldown on this trait. As it is now, you can't get it again as soon as it ends, meaning you have to "feel" when you can use burst skill to get this buff. Annyoing as hell!
  16. In 250 li PUG, yes, it's getting skipped... But with people just starting I think it is better to show them that they need to dodge or jump over that wave on HT. But that's just my view on learning.
  17. You're missing the point. Things I mentioned help keep team alive. And you'll say that so does aegis, but aegis makes you skip mechanics, which isn't good for learning.
  18. More radius on boons, strongest regen in game, mobile block, ease of use, 100% prot uptime. I make training runs for raids and strikes. Played both hfb and heal herald, and from my experience, it was easier to keep everyone alive when playing herald, because of mentioned things. One last time, it isn't strongest, and it isn't meta, but it's viable and has it use, especially when team isn't organized as much
  19. So it isn't viable because it isn't same as every other healer? It gives less in some places and more in others, that's diversity. And again, I never said it is stronger. As for comparison to AA in soldier's... Really? I consider something viable when you can use it in group content like strikes and raids and clear it consistently. And you can. Yeah, fair point. I guess we just differ in point of view. I'd prefer not overpacking, you want to bring Herald closer to meta. And I believe there is middle ground somewhere between.
  20. I don't think thier intention is to give it to all supports. Warrior change is cool because you can stick it on pure dps when needed, adapt, when your group lacks something. I think herald should not have access to aegis simply so you don't overpack it like guardians. For your deimos example, I think that aegis should be provided by other player, maybe by dps (dragonhunter can do it, now warriors as well...). Packing everything on one class makes cooperation less important. Edit: Or give Herald access to aegis, but on trait that has to be chosen over another important trait. Maybe on Elevated Comapssion. I know that it would no longer provide quickness then. But that's the point, isn't it? Meaningful choices.
  21. Idk if aegis is needed, and giving more classes access to specific boon just because other class got it feel just...weird. As for shield: Shield 4 is already very useful and has low cost. Only shield 5 is selfish, but helps when you tank. Only thing I would love is updating heal on shield 5 to pulse 5 target barrier instead. That way we can have skill that rewards knowing bosses (quick example, using it when VG green is incoming)
  22. There is always room for improvement 😉 cough, hammer rework, cough But I'm positive that Anet is taking herald in right direction. We shall see in next balance patch. (I'd personally love some integration of condi in herald traits as it's mostly boons or strike dmg)
  23. It wasn't my intention to prove that herald is superior to firebrand... It is not. I said that quick herald works. That it is viable, and that it is well designed because you are flexible and can make meaningful choices. Of course, firebrands are better probably 90% of the time. But it doesn't mean herald doesn't work anymore. Meta isn't the only way of playing.
  24. I can't think of encounter that would force me to stay in those for so long. And remember you also have heal/alac in your team. I mentioned that design is good because you don't provide everything, but you can adapt to encounter very well
  25. Quickness herald does work. First of all, heal variant is awesome, providing more healing than hfb and bringing very strong projectal block while also beeing easy to play (also, range is nice bonus, way easier to give quick in pugs where people spread more). Yes, it doesn't bring stab if you don't bring jalis. But hey, that's great desing, you need to decide between more healing + block or stab and dmg reduction. As for DPS variant. There is so much possibility here! And you don't need high boon duration either. You can actually run it on full bersersker gear, so if you go to lfg and they ask for quick instead of dps... you change one trait! With this you're also not forced to go "glint shiro". You spend more time in glint (but you also have energy to actually use your weapon skills other than sword 2), and you can take any legend as 2nd depending on fight. Need block? ventari. Need stab? jalis. Need boonstrip? mallyx. Yes, you lose dps compared to blue warriors. But with how many paths you have open and how great desing of it is... I'd say it's great change.
