  1. Hi there fellow Tyrians! My fiancé and I have been on the hunt for a friendly PvX guild for a while now. We are long time Guild Wars 2 players who have been around since beta. We actually met playing this game through mutual friends that I ran into during my time in Guild Wars 1. We both went on hiatus for several months but have returned to the game and fallen back in love with it again. We’ve joined a couple guilds on and off trying to find one that is a good fit but it’s been difficult finding the right one. So we thought we’d post here and see if any recruiters thought their guild might work well for us. Here’s a bit of an idea of what we are looking for. We both really enjoy achievement hunting, world exploration, Fractals, Dungeons, and even some WvW. (We are on FA but are willing to move servers. We used to be old TC players before the megaservers were put into place.) The biggest thing is we are looking for a mature, social PvX guild. Honestly the pair of us are a bit shy at first but honestly, we’d love to find a guild that we can socialize with after we get to know you, run missions, do events; That sort of thing. We are both in our early thirties, we have jobs and tend to play between 6pm -9pm weekdays and anytime till 9pm on the weekends (EST). We like our sleep lol so we don’t tend to stay up terribly late. But what we do want is to be a part of a guild again that we can help to grow. We are really looking for a mature close-knit group that fosters an environment of togetherness and fun. Please let me know if you think your group might be a good fit. Feel free to reach out here in this thread or in game. My fiance's gamer tag is The Pied Piper.9827 if he happens to be online and I'm not. Thanks!
  2. I am mostly in agreement with you. I also play other MMOs, such as FF14 and GW by far has the smoothest, least restrictive combat system. The story is also really unique and interesting (most of the time). But I will say that I have played since beta, and often I get bored or burned out. POF only lasted me about a week and a half. I've completed the story, gotten all the mounts and upgraded their masteries, and finished almost all the bounty achievements. Though I guess I should be thankful that Anet prefers quality over quantity. Regardless even if the content is good, a large percentage of players get through it in no time. So we need other ways to occupy our time. Like someone mentioned earlier I will sometimes re-explore central Tyria maps and find all the things I missed. It makes you appreciate the care that was put into those original maps. I'm not knocking the new maps but Central Tyria is really beautiful. There is a fairly large RP guild called RPcd that runs a Tyrian exploration event on Saturdays in the afternoon (US Eastern time in Metrica Province if anyone is interested) that runs for over ten hours. I don't RP myself but I will go sometimes because it's pretty fun to travel from map to map and do all the event chains and explore all of the places that we often pass over. It's a blast, I never run the entire thing but it's so different from my normal style of game-play of rushing from content to content as fast as I can. Sometimes you need to stop and enjoy the view.
  3. Like several have mentioned I would like to see simpler designs that were more practical. I hate bulky, over complicated armor that always has clipping issues. A great example of some of my favorite armor from GW 1 is the Norn Ranger armor. It looked great on male and female models, and it looks like something a ranger might actually wear in the wilderness. Another great example is the Vabbian necromancer armor from Nightfall. it has some flair but it isn't cluttered with pointless elements. Also I play a Sylvari ele as my main and I would really appreciate it if Anet added some more cultural sets to the game for all races. I love the Sylvari cultural armors, they have some of the best design in the entire game, and it would be great to see more of it.
