Except you may want different sigils based on your weapon. You even swap, bro? -
Legendary weapons improvement request
firedragon.8953 replied to Redsnabba.9172's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
I agree. For armor, runes, etc. (things that don't need to be swapped, just stat changed) the current armory is awesome! For weapons (that need to be swapped), it isn't so great. It would be nice if you could "withdraw" legendary weapons to your inventory and they would remain "static" when equipping and unequipping from the inventory like any ascended weapon(although still manually customizable like any legendary). You could right click them in your inventory and say "return to armory" or something like that and it would do what currently happens when unequipping them (upgrades removed and placed in inventory with the weapon disappearing from your inventory). I suppose this feature could also be used for armor, trinkets, sigils, to unify the system, although it probably wouldn't see much use there. I suppose this gets complicated by the fact you can have one legendary equipped across multiple equipment templates with unique stats, upgrades, cosmetics. I suppose "withdrawing" a legendary on a character would possibly remove that feature. But seems like a fair tradeoff for players that want to swap between more than 2 weapon sets on a single build. -
I think this is fair and still encourages players to at least try other game modes to craft a legendary. For the Gift of Exploration, any character who completed world completion will have access to a vendor that will sell a Gift of Exploration. Have it cost something like 30 Mystic Clovers, 100 Mystic Coins, and 50 gold. Most pvp/wvw players have higher access to clovers than pve players, and this seems to follow the time/cost equation that Anet runs with. Likewise, PvE players who completed the Gift of Battle WvW track once gets access to a vendor that sells GoBs for 1 Gift of Might, 1 Gift of Magic, and 100 gold. For those that want it cheaper, they can just farm them to good ol' fashioned way (current acquisition progress).

Bumping this for hopefully some dev eyes. This is still an issue. Would like to finish this achievement someday. -

Same. Claimed, but no sipcoffee emote or quaggan hat. -
Warrior spear is fantastic, massive improvement, well done Anet!
firedragon.8953 replied to WingSwipe.3084's topic in Warrior
Haven't had much time with it yet, but the skills seem much more cohesive and lending the weapon a proper identity (an actual ranged pdps weapon). Good work to the team for pulling everything together in the end! Still wish the primal burst skill didn't just look like sword's primal burst skill, especially considering the animations other professions got, but if it's fun, I can't really complain. -
Warriors are supposed to be the weapon masters in Tyria. As time's gone by they've been left in the dust. An issue, I feel, is that warrior is restricted by it's one trick pony burst skill (sad cries of terrible spear beta burst skills) and lots of the core weapon skills are just outdated. More and more professions are not "more proficient" with weapons than warrior (e.g., Reaper completely rolls warrior with their greatsword finesse). I'd like to make a suggestion to give warrior something that makes it an actual master at arms. Design an additional skill for every weapon skill for warrior (ele get's 4 of them after all). Every skill doesn't even have to have a new animation, just a new effect (although some new animations would be nice). Warrior players can than choose which skill to activate on their weapon bar by right clicking and selecting their desired skill. This mechanic is already in game when rangers can now choose to have "unleashed" hammer skills or the normal skills on their weapon bar. Don't like 100 Blades? Just right click it and swap it out with Skill B, etc. (Honestly, 100 Blades skill needs a rework though). This also makes things extra spicy in PvP and WvW because a player can never really be sure what skill the warrior is going to use on the weapon they're carrying. This allows for greater customizability (want a better heal support weapon, Skill B on mace will have your back) as well as hopefully a very badly needed weapon skill rework on weapons. Lots of work for the devs, but the recent spear beta has really shown that the devs need to give warrior a bit of love. What do the warriors think?

Yep, it's pretty boring. Seems pretty useless too.

Is this directed at me? Why I am being quoted in this thread? I didn't post here. I don't know what spvp comment you are referring to. Sorry, I get it now. You were directing that question at killthehealersffs and not me, but quoting a conversation from another thread. Apologies. I am confusion! Anyway, I'll pay my 2 cents about why we need another PvE ring (for killthehealersffs). The issue isn't that the WvW ring is too hard (I already have all the tickets and GoBs needed to craft it), it's that I want a cooler/more complete animation. The PvE ring and associated accessories are the only trinkets that have a stacking effect animation. Getting a single stat selectable ascended ring is also incredibly easy and fast with living world currencies, so I'm willing to hold out a bit longer in hopes for an updated trinket cosmetic. And well, since I'm here... No, I don't think Auroa and Vision should be free. They are legendries that have legendary quests/journeys. Honestly, I think more legendries should be like this rather than just throwing mats at a crafting station. More legendary trinkets should also be added to WvW and sPvP. I think full sets should be available in each of the 3 games modes (WvW, sPvP, PvE).

Dual swords are meta for condizerker. You don't camp bow. You want to be swapping weapons almost nonstop. You want to do 2 (or 3 if using blood reckoning) primal bursts on longbow and switch to sword and do 1 primal burst. Riposite is pretty strong if you can get the block, and final thrust is big dps when target is under 50% HP. Impale stacks extra conditions for extra spice. Also Savage Leap offers great mobility and gives you fire aura when using it in your own fire fields. Off-hand sword is very competitive with torch, and arguably better from a pure dps standpoint.

It most definitely should be power dps ranged. Warrior has 3 good power builds (berserker, Spb, bladesworn) and 1 good condi build (berserker). Considering that sword/sword or sword/torch & LB condizerker is absolutely fine, I'd prefer a ranged power weapon we can play across all 3 specs.
