Has anyone actually been able to finish this story step without crashing? (excluding the not-often-successful trick of doing the story as non-leader member of a party). This crash has still been occurring for me and my wife for the past week so I assume the devs are still working on it.

My wife and I tried the same thing (every possible combo of party leader vs story leader on different computers) and unfortunately we are still stuck. We don't really want to miss out on the entire vanilla game personal story, so the only options are (1) make a new character with different personal story, or (2) just play a different game =*( Thank you Rubi! Looking forward to being able to play the story again

Interestingly, if other players join you on the story, they do not crash. My wife and I tried swapping computers to make sure it wasn't a computer-specific problem and it's always the leader of the story who crashes.
