  1. TWIST ENDING....I think the boss is facing TOWARDS us...not away and his head is actually the eye effect. They did say Menzies might have been decapitated.

  3. GW1 came out before Rift and GW2 one year after so WE would not be plagiarising anybody. They have elemental dragons also so I beg to differ.
  4. You act as if this Tyria-spanning content is the sole expansion feature then yes that would be horrid but when you combine that with all the stuff announced, the content coming later and stuff unannounced I think were in good shape. Would you rather maintenance mode and nothing at all?
  5. if they reduce the branded rift to one map, scarlet to one map and awakened to one map I think we might be okay for a bit.
  6. I'll just edit this and be classy and say I appreciate the hard work the dev team is doing into this new system and while nothing can be perfect I highly doubt any inconsiderate anti-consumer practices were willingly made.

Ah I get why i was confused...the tool tip from the new Mirage Cloak trait doesn't say explicitly that for each clone you generate that number of times the duration It just says Clone Alacrity+ and they generate the boons around the character. For us who have played it for years we know whats happening but for newer players they are going to have to inform themselves
  9. Why does alac from staff give clones alac? Do they even use it? They only have the auto attk.
  10. Very baffling seeing how the skills are kind of interesting and useful. Anet be Anettin.
  11. They should be able to ground throw their traps (glide along the ground till out of range or hit an enemy and activate. It's beyond confusing that they have a long distance weapon but can only place traps in melee range. At least a trait that allows the trap travel 😛
  12. Hey, we NEVER thought we'd get an expansion based on the Wizard's Tower omfg some of us had been waiting 10 years for something like this so if THAT'S possible, anything is. On some level were going back to central Tyria (and above it) so we can certainly go near Cantha again someday.

My personal take is they already created the new rune and relic system including legendary relics (for those who have created 7 leg runes) but because there was so much backlash and vitriol they are scrambling to reassure people that an explanation is coming and they assuage tension with "compensation" talk but that's a misnomer because they didn't originally make a mistake which necessitates compensating players. I think they need to be a bit more aware of perception in a timely manner. Legendary relic talk SHOULD have been in the blog post that talks about relics.
  14. I'm more curious about how the changes didn't land as intended. Do YOU the dev team know why that is because I hope you do. From a logistics POV, creating changes and then fixing them because they came out badly sounds like a quality assurance/iteration/game design/testing issue. I hope you get help with this! Everything else will fall into place. Keep at it.
  15. I have a concern about synergy when it comes to the new weapon combinations vs being in just core with them. I see a very WIDE range of usefulness ranging from broken to useless. An example for mesmer would be great synergy with axe and shield on a virtuoso BUT chrono has traits that enhance shield 4 and 5. Is this loss of function factored into the balance or maybe considered an acceptible loss?
  16. This is super whiny. A legendary rune allows you to instantly change your runes for free. That isn't changing so why do you need compensation? They are giving runes some QOL and optimizing them. If anything yall should be "complaining" about power creep...
  17. so they give anyone whose earned a legendary rune a legendary relic. Solved?
  18. How do relics invalidate legendary runes when they aren't the same thing anymore? If leg runes still allow free switching of the rune then they still are optimized. If they want to give you all a legendary "relic" I think that's fine if they want to do that but why do you need to be compensated when something is changing not necessarily being taken way from you?
  19. It's not incompetence. It wouldn't surprise me if they compiled smart feedback and then sees all the data from this release and cross-references it with the feedback.
  20. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. I can understand from a certain gameplay philosophy that if alacrity and quickness are introduced and affect gameplay significantly then logically introduce them into every profession. You CAN balance around that if thematically alac or quickness doesn't gel with that class. Alac on Scourge is like gasoline on pancakes. Sure you can do it....but why? The CA on druid has always confused me seeing as I can't find many celestial references to druids in the lore other then them connected with the planet and it's energy. I have no idea what space has to do with it. Having to spam CA skills again does seem to run counter to some concepts stated earlier. Giving alternate playstyles for druid is great. Feeling like you have to save up all your glyphs for the small CA window is not. I actually hope this is a stepping stone to where you can one day seperate the CA mode in the form of a trait that way you can stay in it permanently in combat (which would create its own advantages and limitations.)
  21. Mirage-the chaos vortex nerf is a bit severe. Are you sure the confusion adjustment will compensate? Maybe those changes should just be for PVP or WVW? You are really backing mirage into a corner I think with the change to confusion and alacmirage. Bladeturn Requiem: You have a whole trait line dedicated to blocking so you will lose some synergy here. Virtuso should have less distortion and more blocking. It goes with the theme as well.
