  1. And that's only the roles for zerg play - roaming and havoc teams need different compositions as well. I'd really like to stress that WvW is more than large scale fights.
  2. Hm perhaps it is only the fog... it looks very similar to your screenshots on my machine as well. Thanks for comparing!
  3. I'm missing the "electricity" effect - don't have a good way of explaining but you can see it e.g. in a WP video at 24m14s: Now it's just the circle with the inside pretty flat. And your'e right my first thought was that it now looks like Null Field now.
  4. We have a new chaos storm animation that looks like this: https://imgur.com/RRQDf7X(imgur chaos storm image) Do you like the new one or prefer the old one?
  5. Agreed, the line of sight issues make it extremely unreliable. It reminds me of the time when blink and sword 3 had the same issues - in WvW you still need to know by heart which structures you can blink on and which ones don't work but at least nowadays it's predictable.
  6. A good patch is when the nerfs don't exceed the nerfs I expected ^^
  7. So I respecced my main to core mesmer yesterday. Let's see if it is fun, otherwise I'm probably completely out. WvW roaming on Mes was already dead for a while anyway.
  8. I agree completely with your points on roaming - at least for me, it isn't fun anymore and I'm mostly idling in PVE nowadays (compared to 95% WvW before), talking to my friends. Perhaps two more points for your list: Roaming classes usually sacrifice damage / sustainability for mobility to help out in many small fights that happen on the map. With the warclaw present, speccing for mobility is nearly useless nowadays - but not all roaming classes can change their builds (for example, mesmers are useless in zergs since the SoI change). The stalemate situation gets worse that people are just calling for reinforcements to break the tie. So basically, people will only engage when they outnumber the enemy - but builds that can deal well in an outnumbered situation feel even more cheesy.
  9. Roughly the year before HoT - finally the worst Mesmer bugs got squished and scepter became useful. The most memorable moment was when, after more than a year of losing every matchup, Vabbi ended up second (still remaining rock bottom for a long time and staying in T9).
  10. I definitely don't like the new gameplay, but I don't have the illusion warclaw will be removed. I'm mostly annoyed that our single WvW dev will probably be busy with the necessary warclaw fixes for the next 6 months (better than leaving it broken, it's just a lot of work to get it right). It would be really nice if he got some help just for polishing and cleaning up all the bugs (various glitches into keeps, unreliable blinks, etc.) that have been plaguing us. It's not flashy stuff but I'd be really grateful.
  11. Create a squad, leave the squad, rejoin. Works well for my guild. thats the whole point. u cant put marks, and noone know where is commanderSorry hadn't seen that it was posted before... in the teams i'm playing in, the commander is still noticable without a tag. If it's really about 20+ groups, it find it ok to force the commander tag to be visible.

  13. Exactly that - nerf the damage if you will but leave the (fewer and fewer) corners that make mesmers special...
