  1. I remember rune of Perplexity use to be super broken on mesmers in WvW. Is that still the case or was it nerfed/lost synergy?
  2. PLEASE PPL NOTICE! LOOK WITH YOUR SPECIAL EYES!
  3. I'll try that next time and see what happens. Sometimes its just tough when all they do is stand on a point.
  4. Defensively - cast on allies to keep them safe from all enemies attacking from different directions. You can also put it on coke points as a possible means of escape.Offensive - cast on enemy while also running into field. Denies them the projectile, and while they run out you continue to benefit from the reflect (if you get inside on time).
  5. 99% of “bots” are either new players or player that dont represent guild and dont use title.Real bots are better than average player. U dont meet bots in higher rating, thats why anet doesnt care That's not true at all. Right now I've been playing pvp matched more often without caring about my ranking. So I've dropped a lot (couldn't care less). But even when I was Gold III, borderline Platinum, I would still run into an occasional Bot. Much less than in lower rankings, but still more often than expected. But I also agree with you, there have been multiple occasions that even I have been called a bot. I'd even respond to the player sometimes and they are still believe I'm a bot. So I wouldn't be surprised if actual players are being called bots, its completely possible. But to disregard a lot of videos and claims that someone is botting is not right. There are literally videos upon videos of bots that can be seen using near hacks while still falling under a lot of the criteria of a bot (e.g., following specific pathing, auto targeting not matter the target's location, and more). With regards to auto targeting, I was fighting what I 'BELIEVED' to be a warrior bot (a damn good one too). At first I thought it was just a really good player, but then I noticed that if I went stealth (as a mesmer) he would stop moving and attacking. Once I was visible again, the enemy would instantly start moving to me without any delays. This happened multiple times. Even if I'd blink to some obscure locations and then stealth, it had absolutely no problem keeping track of my location as soon as I came out of stealth. I think the real issue now is that these bots are so good that its becoming more and more difficult to distinguish them from actual players. And, unfortunately, reporting feels like it does nothing. So it honestly feels like there's no harm in reporting an actual player since it doesn't seem to effect anything.
  6. I figured as much. but these are some pretty obvious signs of a bot (not always true) Player does not move at spawn, before the match begins. Player refuses to speak (also not always the case of a bot)If you see two players stacked on top of each other, while running, and following the same pathing, most likely both bots. (Yes 2 bots on the same team has happened multiple times)Player is making tiny blinks while running (definitely a bot)Player takes the same pathing for the duration of the match. (eg. player only runs to mid no matter what).Overall, I try to look for 2-3 of these signs before claiming someone is a bot, unless I noticed number 4, then its an instant report for me. As for removing the ability to make gold while playing PvP. What's the point of playing PvP then? Just for fun wont cut it. There needs to be a reward.
  7. I think the issue is that the gimmick of DH fits too well into the game mode of "Capture the Point". When players are forced to stand on a specific location to gain points, the DH excels are what they do, dealing high damage at a point. If you run into a DH in WvW, they are destroyed because the player is not forced to stand on a single point. Players can kite the DH with no demerits. Where as, in PvP, you may be forced to engage on a stack of traps or be in a prolonged fight where a DH drops traps in the middle of a fight when you're forced to defend a point; if you decide to leave they ultimately win by taking control of the point. Lets forget about the idea of engaging on a DH that's already on point. The biggest problem is when a DH engages on a fight that's already happening on a point. They simply enter the fight, drop their traps, and benefit from massive damage to multiple players; at times being able to down an entire team simply by laying down their traps. So, yes, the DH is easily countered in a duel or open world situation, but in a game mode where players are forced on to a single location, they do exceeding well.
  8. Based on that I think Anet needs to turn away from nerfing what's working and move towards trying to buff classes/traits/abilities that have been underused or underwhelming. There's a reason why the current meta has been so strong and I think its based on what you're saying, the traits and skills just work so well with each other.
  9. I don't think that's the point of the post. The point is guards are easier to play and give a lot of wins with little effort. Mesmers are much more difficult to play and can only win if its in the hands of someone who's played it for a long time. This isn't just the case for guards and mesmers, its true when you compare other classes too. Core-Ele is much more difficult to play than mesmer and has much lower win-rate. Therefore mesmer needs to be nerfed. See how that sounds stupid? See how you can't just compare 2 things in a vacuum? All I see is how narrow minded you are. I said that its true when you compare other classes with the top tier classes. They are top tier because they are so easy to pick up and have high value on almost any team. I've never heard of anyone complaining about having too many necros, guards or revs on their team.

  11. I'll keep this very quick and to the point. I've noticed quite a lot of scourge and some minion mancer bots in RATED pvp (I'm currently Gold 1). So much so that I had a game where enemy team said their scourge was a bot and then my team noticed that our scourge was also a bot. I've also had the pleasure to be in a game with 2 scourge bots on my team. That's not the craziest part, the crazy part is that sometimes, they are generally good and win fights. Either something needs to be done to stop the scourge from being manipulated by bots so easily or the bot problem, itself, needs to be dealt with. However, this isn't to say that ONLY necros are bots, but it is what I am generally finding when I notice a bot on my team or if a teammate says someone is a bot (it generally ends up being the necro). :)
  12. I've mained Guardian, to be honest, I do not have any problem with dealing a Mesmer. If I take right actions like dodging skills or using right skills in right time etc. I can take down any class. I believe that mastering any class and playing it is the right the key. But, the thing i want to mention is that the attention you have to pay.For example; as a Guardian, I have to calculate every move. I cannot use my skills randomly, I need to use them in a correct situation. To success, I have to play smart. And about Mesmer; I just started to play with Mesmer a few days ago. I just checked a meta build and never watched a single PvP guide. What I do is just laying down whatever phantasm/shatter I, and spaming F3 F4 and teleport when I am low. I don't even select a target, I just push the buttons and try to survive while laying clones around. I have more win ratio than any other class now.I am not trying to tell that Mesmer's damage should be nerfed, I just wanted to point that Mesmer shouldn't be a class that is really easy to play. Lmao! I'd love to see you actually try using a mesmer in pvp (rated or unrated) and try NOT getting carpal tunnel. I understand that sarcasm but its true. Any class can counter any class if played well and right. There are some classes the take very little work to master and provide massive benefits for little to no work (e.g. Guards, Necros and maybe Revs). As it stands the low tier classes need to work twice as hard to keep up with these more easily played classes. I also main mesmer and I can lose to a beginner Guard necro or Rev if I make a single mistake where as most other classes can bounce back with little to no issues.
  13. I see what you mean. I can see it being a potential reason for a team fight to be lost. But I also think it just making a downed ally immune to dmg is a waste of a skill slot. Its just such a tricky skill. The concept is so cool but its worth and execution in the current game is near useless.
  14. Um you are right but i thought that was a typo. Why would you want to resurrect an already defeated enemy? I mean it takes around 3s to stomp a downed why would you take the risk of reviving it. So the mesmer has a finisher taking an slot from the skill bar? Why would you pick that skill over absolutely anything else even a blank slot? Unless i miss an /s there i think i'm missing something in this thread. I meant what I said. So essentially its a guaranteed stomp with the downside of rezing the enemy for 5ish seconds. So warrior's downstate or regular illusion of life but no chance of rallying, even after a kill. As it stands, Illusion of Life serves little to no purpose in any build (I think sometimes I see it in wvw in blobs). I think it would be a decent skills if it also makes an phantasm after the enemy dies and allows for the mesmer to get a safe stomp.
  15. Yes! That would bring in a lot more synergy as well. Possibly be better it it dropped an Illusion instead of a clone. Maybe one determined by the target's class/weapon? That might be a bit much though.
