  1. I think this guides could get you started. 2. You basically have community created roles of Alac, Quickness, Heal and DPS. For a 10 person raid squad you want 2x Alac, 2x Quickness, 2x Heal and the rest of the slots as DPS. --> for a 5 person group obviously 1x Alac, 1x Quickness 1x Heal and rest DPS. To achieve this you can select one of the following 6 roles upon entering the group finder: Alac DPS Alac Heal Quickness DPS Quickness Heal DPS Heal The group finder will then bring 10 persons with matching roles in a squad and in the optimal case also arranges the 2 subgroups. You will end up having 1x Alac, 1x Quickness, 1x Heal and rest DPS in a Subgroup, which should cover the needed boons + healing. This is the easy part of the group finder, which should be quite simple to implement. It has one minor flaw, that you have to trust people to select the appropriate role and not select for example Quickness Heal as DPS to get a group faster (only minor flaw cause you have the same thing with the lfg today too). It will get complicated fast if you take specific boss mechanics into account (and even more if you not only look at a single boss but a whole wing), cause for many mechanics there are multiple ways to deal with them (and you want to include the specific mechanics, cause if you dont the bosses can go as far as where they simply are not even doable). With the above mentioned squad you can end up with a party of only revenants and necromancers. Good luck doing Matthias with this group. As far as I know both classes do not have a single reflect.
  3. If you only write like "hi dps, this is my alt account, i know the mechs fine" this will probably not work. But if the leader is willing to give you one minute of time at max, if you're experienced you can prove it to them. For example for Dhumm just add some random stuff like "greater soulsplits are at 6:25, 5:05, 3:45, 2:25, 1:05" or some other things like "should i bait shackles starting at 60% by beeing one of the two closest persons towards dhuum beside the tank?" For CMs write something like "ill help ccing the one sorrow at 66 and the two at 33 and i will avoid the guilts that spawn after the cc". "i hope for 99 the renegade knows about staff 5 into special action key". I mean i dont have an alt account to test this but at least for eu i guess youll find groups just fine. Maybe some groups will kick you nevertheless but then i would question if you really wanna play with them.
  4. There are 9 insights that you can get. You'll get one for reaching a character to level 80. After that just choose if you wanna play your personal story (you'll miss one point, cause you only get 8) or do the rest in the fractals. Mastery point unlocks - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W)
  5. You can do this on GW2 Wingman https://gw2wingman.nevermindcreations.de/home. In the upper left corner click on "display all bosses" and let the engine search until you see the colored bars. Under "Overview / Players / With Players" (centered above the colored bars) you can then enter an account name to search for. Under "Overview / Date Range" you can select a number of balance patches you want to include. By default only the logs from the latest balance patch will be included. After you applied the filters click on "Update Filters". If you want to see the logs, click in the bottom right on "Logs" and you will get a list with all logfiles where the account name is included (to open a log click on the date field).
  6. Do I just have different expections or am I looking at the wrong logs? I wouldnt call 15k dps at VG or at Sabetha too low. Also 20-23k at MO should just be fine to kill him. For Xera dps could be a bit higher but she should be killable with this aswell (he also got ported twice) - dps in first phase was not that great, but you could also exchange the hscourge for another dps, cause noone downed there... Cairn is obviously not his friend though... And please keep in mind you're talking about a newish raider with 150 Li.
  7. I just was curious if that training was a one time thing, but you proved me otherwise :) Its nice to see, that there are people outside actually committed to training raids (and also joining pug trainings).
  8. where i see the claims about it beeing a semi/experienced group, why do you post logs older than a year? Just post some logs of a recent training run...
  9. Yes, contact the CS - normally they are quite tolerant with refunding lost items. Atleast the tomes of knowledge you can use to boost your character in the tutorial (i tested it myself just yesterday). You can then also equip every legendary accessible or just trade ascended via the shared inventory slots.
  10. I started Friday or Saturday (i dont remember exactly) and finished on monday. Doesnt seem that grindy for me, espacially cause they massivly reduced the overall timegate.
  11. You dont need to remember a fixed rotation to do acceptable dps. All you need to do is knowing your class some bit aka. knowing where your main damage comes from or from what combinations your damage comes from. Also you shouldnt be lazy - this game has action combat so it is likely that you will press more buttons like e.g. in Wow (at least for my pov - i never played WoW). If you wanna play classes without a real rotation then play power warrior or condition Firebrand. I never tried it, but i would say if you dont even switch to scepter on Firebrand before your F1 you will not loose that much dps.So all you need to do is spam axe/torch 1-4 with 2-4 having a higer priority than axe 1. Also just use your sword of justice of cooldown and use all mantra charges but one.Once in a while go in your F1 Tome when its ready again and press 2-4-5-1-2 in it. Where is this a rotation or too much to remember? On power warrior you only need to remeber like five ways to fill up your adrenaline to use another decapitate (each way has only one or two skills that needs to be pressed).Again where is this a rotation or too much to remember? (Imo this build plays a bit faster than firebrand though).
  12. I have several times and sometimes even for Strike Missions now. Can you send me the link were SC shows their strike squad setups? From Raids my personal favorite is mathias with it's six subgroups btw...I can't imagine you'll find something like that on the lfg.
  13. i did but its doesn't say what skill need to sync what skills etc. for ex it said holosmith is easy, but apparently there is alot heat management etc, snowcrow doesn't mention it. the only one so far seem to be easiers is dd The thing with the heat management is written in the fourth introductary sentence for that build...
