wvw still bad? i quit the game 7 months ago so i guess i'll just keep playing other games until forever (or when they address wvw properly)

I quit the game 5 months ago because WvW became just extremely boring and unrewarding. I keep reading the forum once in a while to see if anything has changed. I can tell you that these updates are so minor that it won't make me even update the game launcher. Its been so many years and all you can give the players is some extra xp? As if that was what we were missing? Then the guy says they don't wanna risk the game economy with more gold rewards in wvw, meanwhile pve and pvp players and alt farmers laugh at us? Yea. Not a company i wanna support anymore

Y'all can fight about time investment as much as you want, but on top of it requiring WVW currencies it also requires raw gold and we're looking at around 350g/ piece that's almost 2,1k gold that you need for a full set... and you can cut back on the cost for memories of battle but that's basically the main source of gold in wvw (no, loot bags don't count because they're inconsistent and not even worth that much anymore, a stack is worth like what 6g? and you don't make a stack that fast, unless you play like a maniac all the time). I have 16k skirmish tickets but can't make any piece cuz i have 42g over a few months of casually playing wvw only. This is where anet needs to look at first, not wvw currency, but the raw gold investment that we need and WE DON'T MAKE.

I stand by this. I hate leaving wvw to get those gifts and gift of exploration is just....... ughhhhhhhhhhh

how do you make money in wvw? specifically 300g fast?

Anet never promotes wvw. There's legit nothing on their twitter as well

Im going to answer that for you, we are getting sandwiched and they are getting no enemies since we are 10 players on EB right now. So this beta is already failing. Not looking at night squad? But 2 servers get one and the 3rd gets run over XD sigh they don't even fight each other

EU here Griffonfall 4h after the beta, our server has no night squad and Seven Pines is currently overrunning everything there's like 2k difference in points. The first few hours we had queues, but I guess it's cause of reset excitement, but this isn't looking too great right now. And it's barely midnight. This is going to be annoying and unbalanced in terms of team players

@anet seriously just let all these toxic servers fight each other in t1... oh wait... fow is also in t2 and the toxic servers just gank the dead one... FOW always avoids elona and the two just gank the 3rd server forever the entire week. Make stacked servers fight in a 2v2 instance or smth. We lost almost 2 guilds full of players because of this behaviour... is no longer fun for anyone.. except the stacked server. It's so lonely now in wvw that I barely feel motivated to login.

Just tonight saw 2 teleport hackers... it's getting ridiculous, reported but probably nothing will happen. They were flying everywhere, under map too.

this other day we ran into a vindicator who was up in the air with the dodge animation for like a whole minute. We were just standing there attacking thin air as he was moving away in the air flying. I thought the vindicator only has one dodge, but he did that multiple times in the day. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but an exploit for sure, made him completely invulnerable and only came down to dps us when our skills were on cd and repeat for long period of times, we couldn't get any dmg in. And just to clarify, he wasn't dodging multiple times, he was up in the air for a long time spinning... as if the dodge never ended

my guild and friendlist is mostly dead these days... so there's some truth to his post. they used to be really active a few months ago, no1 really playing anymore is sad
