The collection for the armor was in the game when Soto launched and you could check Lyhr to know what materials will be needed, there also was a Wiki page quite early. I was able to finish the new legendary armor one day after it was in the game, like many others. The information was there for everyone, so don’t come crying if you chose to ignore it.

Don’t do it then. Legendary weapons are purely optional, they are not a necessity. If you want them do what is required just like everyone else.

It is a good motivation to step into WvW and try the game mode. I got into WvW when I need the gift of battle for my first legendary and stayed ever since. You are absolutely right, just spend the 4 hours to get the gift of battle. It is really not a big deal. The time people spend here complaining about it, they could have got several gifts of battle.

I never had any issues getting credit for defending and completing the task. I don’t think they should remove it from the wizards vault. If you don’t like doing it then there are three other tasks you can do to complete the daily. But there are players like me who actually like doing it.

No thanks, gift of battle is a good motivation to get into WvW. I don’t see a reason to change anything about it. You are not forced to do anything you don’t want. Legendary weapons are not a necessity they are purely optional.

It is a completely optional task, no one is forced to do anything. This is not the only way. Take your guild mates and make your own group to do the CM. It is the easiest strike CM and usually doesn’t take more than a couple of tries.
