  1. they have literally decreased the effort and time needed for obtaining it in multiple ways, and there are items that allow you to straight up instantly skip parts. what more people want? a "get skyscale instantly" button or what? i am a complete adhd catastrophe with severe struggles with completing tasks for long term goals, because i love getting the dopamine rush right now and not later. and yet it was not that big struggle for me to obtain the skyscale before it was made significantly quicker. sure, it took bit more dedication and work than just mindlessly following the map markers and story, sure, it did get little frustrating occasionally, but it genuinely is not as huge grind and time consuming grand struggle as people keep claiming it to be. if it feels that bad, do one or two tasks for it per day. or do one part every time you complete story chapter. you do not need to do it all in one sitting. stop staring at the number of steps and treating it as a one whole task. its like pulling up a full list of things you need to do to get from level 1 to the most recent story update, and quitting because its too big of a grind to complete all those steps.
  2. im pretty sure that the dialog especially specified that we are dealing with newer memories that have been left unresolved. so a traumatic event from almost decade ago that was already brought closure to was not relevant for it.
  3. gutting out whole bunch of gameplay from alts, allow skipping all the game just to certain point in the end, and making all alts essentially new game+ by default is not exactly what i would call alt friendliness, or consider something that would improve story experience on alts.
  4. is this like... cosmetic, or do you want them to have premium currency feature that allows light and medium armor classes having a whole lot more armor points than non paying players can have?
  5. as someone who has spare cash only occasionally, subscription is something that just boots me and my money out of the game entirely. i cannot afford to up keep the subscription, just buying subscription every few months is less than ideal, and putting my money into something i cannot be certain that i will be able to "consume" to full extend is a terrible idea, because playing every day the subscription is active is just gonna burn me out.
  6. *sees generic design appear in more than one piece of media* is this plagiarism!?!? THIEVES!??!?!?
  7. tbh i much prefer them to take a breather and just polishing and re-releasing old stuff over rushing to pump out new content. focusing on "less demanding" content that is mostly just fixing up already existing content allows them to meanwhile actually work on the new content at their own pace without the pressure of having to get it out as soon as possible, and still keeping up the steady flow of updates.
  8. listen. i am autistic, and obsessed with dinosaurs. nothing is more infuriating to me than raptors with broken wrists (palms pointing downwards instead of palms facing each other). gw2 does this with every raptor, and it absolutely drives me nuts. but i do understand that gw2 is not realistic dinosaur simulator. expecting the designers and animators to be reading through dinosaur anatomy research papers to deliver only anatomically correct dinosaurs for game that is not focused on dinosaurs or realism is not reasonable. i fully understand that this is not a game that i should be judging based on their dinosaur designs. gw2 isnt a gun simulator game. its not meant to be delivering realistic gun experience for players, and its not focused on gunfights. if one singular fantasy laser gun in a fantasy game sounding like a fantasy laser gun in fantasy game is a deal breaker for someone, its not anet's problem.
  9. ...why magic laser gun in semi toony video game should sound like an intimidating & realistic gun? and why someone is judging worth of entire game based on sounds of one (1) weapon?
  10. obviously if you cannot see minimum 10 players at any given moment, it means that the mmo is dead. because as we all know, a mmo can be only insanely popular or dead, and if its not the former, its dead. middle ground doesnt exist.
  11. while i doubt this would ever become a thing, i really would want it. while picking the profession for my first character, i really had no idea what i was doing, and i ended up with a profession i absolutely hate even with all the elite specs available as an option (like.. hes an elementalist. i picked it ONLY because i thought that it was funny that a plant dude is using fire magic. like thats the level of "i have no idea what i am doing" i was on) i have had him for over 7 years now, so at this point just deleting him and remaking him as profession i actually like is no longer really an option because i deeply love and cherish this talking pixel vegetable living inside my computer.
  12. i really would like to have a toggle for it. i cant see whats the point of tacking something completely irrelevant to my gameplay on my view like that.
  13. you can switch current active storyline from your story journal, and you can move to other maps with waypoints or portal scrolls.
  14. be like me and unlock copious amount of character slots. you will never have to make any decisions ever again regarding of the professions and elite specs, and you can freely try absolutely everything the game has to offer. (dont do this, its a rabbit hole you never come up ever again)
  15. i will tongue kiss every gold sink in this game. love having those in the game, and keeping inflation from running completely rampant.
  16. all mounts are creatures you sit on to move from place A to place B, just like jackal, because it too is a creature you sit on to move from place A to place B! seems very pointless to me to have so many different mounts that are so similar to jackal. therefore we should turn all of them into jackal!
  17. personally im just happy that gw2 has the heart thing. i get to cherry pick tasks that i like most, and its infinitely less boring and grindy than endless stream of "kill 20 of X" and "bring me 15 of Y" quests with you running back and forth between some town and the forest next to it for an hour before you can move on to next location.
  18. ...i didnt realize that im supposed to tip anything, and now i feel bad. for all these years i have always just thanked them, and assumed that its enough😦
  19. gonna give tl;dr for that? i dont wanna sit here five hours listening my screen reader.
