  1. Yeah, though that is for different reasons. That is because of the Power creep. Scourge doesnt actually fix or help with any of the hard counters that Necro suffer from, what it does bring however is more AoE conditions, Boon corrupt and such. Offensive better than the rest but all it really has for "defense" is the Barrier which is just as crap.
  2. Pretty much this. Necro doesnt have any real good weapons. They are either fast and hit like a wet noodle or slow do great damage but easily avoided. Given how many weaknesses Necro has (ranged, CC, Sustain, Burst, mobility, stealth) Nothing can save necro. There is NO way the next spec will cover most (if any of these) weaknesses as it would make Base, Reaper and Scourge unused. These are issues EVERY necro spec seemingly MUST have :/ I would like a Pistol/Pistol Pure power based weapon or a defensive/bunker Hammer. likely wont get either :/
  3. Nope. Nope. Nope. That would be rather unfair on those of us that cant stand the PvE in this game. I play WvW only. So saying "tough luck" to those that dont have them are the reason why they SHOULDN'T be added. What about those that cant afford PoF or for some reason dont want PoF or like me dont play the PvE???
  4. If you are zerg surfing. Go with anything. It really means nothing. As long as you can tag foes thats all about you need. If you plan on Roaming or anything. Dont waste your time with Power Scourge. It would be pointless. Hybrid, COULD maybe work but it wont be as strong as pure condi because Scourge is (like Necro in general) designed around conditions, conditions, conditions.

  6. I think that was because Revenant was SO poorly thought out, designed and implemented. I dont think they will add another class because of that. It was too much work needed for them and it showed that they clearly didnt get enough time. The class and specs are a mess and even by the time they do another expansion Revenant will STILL be a mess.
  7. As much as some of these ideas would be awesome. We all know. Nothing will be done. It would be madness for them to remove 2 specs and replace them with totally different specs. Wont happen and would be unfair on all other classes as many have crappy specs (Reaper, Weaver, Renegade to name but a few) adjusting kits and such would likely be ALL that would be possible, still wont happen though. Too much work. Too little pay off (money...)
  8. I would disagree with this. Several classes do the jack of all trades very well. The problem is. Revenant isn't one of those classes. It COULD work in a jack of all trades but it would need work on ALL the legends. I would say they mostly need tweaks. Ventari and Kalla however. They need a redesign. Ventari needs the whole tablet system removed. It just doesnt work. The healing and all the effects need to be around the Revenant. Kalla should be turned into a Trap/Well/Mark like system, they would all obviously need to be buffed to counter the fact they wouldnt last 10seconds anymore. Though to be fair, most of the skills are kinda crappy and wouldnt be missed much if they were totally redesigned anyway.
  9. No one is saying it should be top damage. No one. It does need to be buffed though.
  10. The issue being, compare "Bruiser" Weaver with other "Bruiser" builds and you will see how weak the Sword is. Other bruisers have as good (and some times better...) defenses but also come with much more damage. As we are forced due to class design to put so much into defenses to get some times not even as good defenses as other which means our damage is being sacrificed, where as those arent sacrificing any damage. Not saying that Sword should be burst damage, you shouldnt have to be burst though to deal good damage.The Sword is a little weaker than it should be, not talking about huge damage buffs, just tweaks here and there. Giving back Arcana its Fury would be quite welcome as well.
  11. You would be wrong. Sword IS about damage. All weapons are about damage. What exactly do you think Sword is meant to be if its not about damage? It doesnt have anywhere near the support to be a support weapon. So in your view, what is the weapon MEANT to be? Of course it wont work like that, you again are missing the point that i was replying to someone that said specifically The following "I would remove the ability of Weaver to attune to a single element, and remove the trait which grants us a damage buff when attuning a single element." and my view was that IF something had to be changed out of these, i would choose the trait. Nowhere did i say i WANTED either of these to happen, i was replying to this specific comment. Also, Sword will be buffed. If it means other weapons take a hit, i am okay with that. The weapon the spec comes with SHOULDN'T be the worst weapon to use with that spec.
  12. Read above. It was in response to someone saying that we shouldnt be able to single attune as a Weaver. I think the mechanic is fine as it is but i wouldnt say no to them nerfing/removing the trait if it meant that Sword got buffed. It should NOT be bottom in damage, It should be a great option for the spec as it came with the spec, makes no sense how all the other weapons are better. I mean sure it offers a couple of nice skills but they are really needed for the class anyway.
  13. Remove the trait. Buff Weaver sword. All the other weapons are fine without the trait anyway. I dont even use it myself and never felt like i would take it. It is kinda sad that the weapon that the spec got is actually the weapon that is WEAKEST with the new spec. So, i'd say remove the trait. Buff Sword damage here and there and give us a GOOD trait. Something that doesnt feel like they spent 2seconds thinking about it.
  14. if it was between the mechanics of the spec being changed or this trait being removed. I vote the trait be removed. I dont use the trait and never have done and i do just fine. This trait isnt the be all and end all of Weaver. If they removed this trait and buffed sword? Yeah. I would take that all day long.
  15. OR. Leaving the attuning the way it is and just change the trait. I like the dual attuning and quite a few times i will go from Air/Air to Water/air to Air/Water and then Air/Air. Removing being able to go to a single attunement would make having dual attunements kinda forced and would make getting to certain skills even more difficult. Just remove the trait and replace it with something else and leave attuning alone.

  17. I think a Ranged weapon would be better because it would give options to be a ranged player or melee. Because they would still have Staff, Dagger, Focus and Scepter as options. I picked Pistol/Pistol because iirc no expansion has given them to new classes yet? and a Mage Pistol/Pistol caster would be awesome!
  18. Great idea, terrible weapon choice. Though it wouldnt fit the "summoner" arch type but what about Dual Pistols? Like take it away form the cliche of its a summoner it has to have this weapon. Plus, it would be nice to have a single target Ranged weapon that isnt about spamming the crap out of Air the whole time cough Scepter cough

  20. An interesting idea. Though NOT location. I think it would be MUCH better having it as a Target. Have it so that when we're not attacking we dont hold it but like floats near us. The auto attack could use the kinda animation from say the Mesmer staff auto attack (hand pointing forwards) as if to command the sword to go and attack. What the attacks could actually be i dont know. We already have a VERY overpowered Power weapon, so i dont think it would be good to have it as power, they attempted a hyrbid (BADLY!) so manged a Ranged GS Condi based weapon? Concentrating on Burning and burst damage?
  21. Several things wrong with this. So lets get started.... Firstly, RNG is bad. Always has been. Always will be. RNG has and will always be hated on this like this. Loot boxes are designed as a money grab and nothing else. These are the kind of things that you would expect from free to play MMOs, not one that has been paid for, then bought expansions. You mention about the 30 skins. What if you only want 1 or 2 skins!? what if that RNG means you spend all that money and the few skins you actually wanted were the last ones you got. Would you be happy with that? Yeah you will eventually unlock them all, kost of which you will unlikely want, so either spending money or farming, farming, farming to get a CHANCE at a skin you want. That is BAD design and design that is 100% designed to make money. Nothing else. This isnt for the benefit of the player base. This is and always has been about money. Anet have been getting worse and worse with this. This also wont keep the game populated, its already divided the player base, its already made people say how they will refuse to spend a single penny (or cent) on the gemstore. Rightfully so as well. This type of design should be stamped out. Removed. It is bad enough that its in games already but the more people like you say "oh its fine" the more these companies will get more and more greedy and it WILL only get worse. As for it funding the game, well. That will also be wrong. It would be very interesting to see how much money was spent to get gems the month before and the month after this loot box design was released and i would hazard a guess, the money being spent will have gone down as players protest such things!
  22. This game would have NEVER been as popular if it was Pay monthly, because it lacks in every department what makes a SUCCESSFUL pay monthly game. This game wouldnt have lasted a year as a Pay Monthly game. It would require SO much more work from Anet to keep it a valuable game to pay each month for, which they simply cant do. They RARELY release any new content, focus HEAVILY on the gem store.
  23. What could be done is made it so that wearing heavy armor makes you hit harder but makes you slower. Light would be you wouldnt hit as hard but you would be faster and medium would be a balanced mix. Of course this wont ever happen, but its still good to dream.
  24. Oh haha, well thats a shame it isnt the cause of your problems :(Do you have another non-Razer mouse? Maybe you could try that one, remove Synapse and see if you still have the same problem?
