Time gating is the one thing that keeps making me quit this game. I try to get motivated to play again but the moment I realize that I’m time gated I get burned out instantly. It’s such a shame that everything has come down to this. regardless of what you do in the game you will hit a wall. Grind all the coin in the world and the moment you decide to spend it on something nice… boom “hey bud you got to do this one thing for 30 or 60 days” just that one thing. I’m a hyper focused kind of guy and when I think of something or want something I just go and get that. The few times I’ve set my goals on legendary.. well I’ve managed to craft 2 legendary so far and I’ve owned the game since beta. I have quite a few thousands in gold but that does not mean much when time is the most expensive currency most of us don’t have.

You’re a silly goose. As if base necro was not meta for years through hot and pof. Just because you’re having a hard time learning to counter the new classes does not make them p2w. Just be happy that your entire gear set did not become obsolete because a new expansion released like your average mmo be grateful.

Yeah I don’t consider leading a group of fifty people a “new player inviting feature” unless you want them to get berated until they uninstall for not fully understanding what they got involved in. Fact is if you don’t have 300g or done any wvw then you haven’t “earned” the right to lead. And the last thing I personally want to see if 50 commander tags in one map just buzzing around. New players are not joining the game to lead and those who do understand that leadership requires knowledge and with knowledge everything else falls into place.

This is common behavior in old games. There is a very big portion of the community that likes the game as is. Something that pisses vets off is when a new player hops on the forums and full of ideas and new ways to improve the game.

If you’re in a raid or fractal or a dungeon and your team screws something up then one might mean self ghost But if you’re out in the world doing nothing that has to be perfectly time people will say gg as in good game or good job. The context is the same all through the mmo world except arenanet though making gg a self ghost option still confuses me.

You guys get drops? I stopped doing those dailies and just focused on fractals and strikes

I'll pre order anything gw2 related or gw1. Ill also pre order anything monster hunter related. These have been tried and true games to back blindly at least in my opinion. I dont pre other new things anymore because most developers and publishers lack the history. For example Bethesda has always been a kitten company that delivers good games, the problem is that these games are rarely good on launch and rely heavily on user mods. Gw2 or monster hunter in the other hand always deliver quality and thats why you see so little progression gameplay wise. They play it safe because they don't want their communities getting jausted around.

It takes like a week to get... there's so much resources and even add-ons that help with these things. Its supposed to be a big reward for hard work. Its not required to traverse the world like the other free mounts tied to the story.

So today I got a pretty special match. My whole team was bots it was great. I'd really like to see Anet at least acknowledge the problem here. These bots are slowly ruining the economy of their game but some of these bots have been alive for months now. At this point, it feels like nobody is even reviewing the reports because they either don't care about the future of the game or they are too busy pushing out MTX. I know this game has become pretty anti pvp but the least you can do is make pvp great again.
