  1. Will try the ultimate alchemy crazy guy build and see how it goes http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PeQAQlFwwYVMLmKOsLvJNA-zRIYRU0XG1mIVUE2OLRcGBA-e
  2. I guess superspeed and quickness makes the group too much zoom zoom speedy killy ? I don't know..
  3. Warrior's off hand torch skill 5... They should make that targetable also? doesn't make sense
  4. I don't think these changes are the ones you wanted.....
  5. I would take the risk, especially now that mouse is more visible
  6. The idea to drop on engineer's feet is nice. But for double clicking.. that's what auto cast is for, especially with so many targetable abilities, really there is no choice other than playing with auto cast on (where the mouse is) so you don't double click, just click the ability and it will be aimed at the location of your mouse. If you don't know this is possible, try it ! It will save you many double clicks
  7. This right there ! It's amazing how bad design this is ! Unless , Anet did this on purpose just so we complain and then revert the change , only to say : see? we listen to you....
  8. You can place healing gyro and not get any heal from it... and you can place a bulwark gyro and get only damage from it.. this is just ... amazing ( in a bad way)
  9. As an engineer both irl and in game, i loled
  10. Just so it's clear to Anet developers.....
  11. Having a well on yourself, makes you place yourself at potential harm that can require some brain imo. Let's say you want to give protection to your team mates. Instead of staying at a safe place and spam mortar kit 1 to do damage, you go in to give them protection with tool belt 1. You are now in the heat of battle , you can get hit for doing that.. Like I said on an other post, you are the well, you are the tool!
  12. The superspeed and/or quick at the start of the well is not that bad. Sure it will remove some of the nice mini game you had timing your offensive gyros perfectly to keep up with quick / superspeed , but I guess it's all part of the simplicity that they are trying to enforce into all classes. Is very important for the wells to not be stationary !
  13. Well, that's on WvW only, Thank god in PvE still will be doing what it does best ! And to be fair it doesn't do so low dps as a quick dps
  14. So frustrating for wells to be stationary. I get the Function Gyro being stationary, but the rest ? No no ! You used to be the well, the danger, the salvation. It offered amazing and unique playstyle, you were becoming the tool , a true engineer ! It's ok to leave some room for other support in wvw, still we scrappers will have our place there for sure in pve , pvp and wvw. But don't ruin the nature of the profession! 5/8 builds that I have on my engineer are Scrapper. I was enjoying so much the following playstyle: Pre casting blast gyro, then rocket charge. When I reached my target(s) on the third hit of rochet charge, I was AoE hitting everything and stunning them. I guess that really stylish explosive entrance is ruined now.. Sad !
  15. I now play quick scrapper as main, at every PvE content and i'm loving it ! Superspeed with quick makes you an absolute zoomer, going places fast and hitting fast. And with mortar kit, you have also very good range. Couldn't expect to not look at Guardian ever again, but Engineer made me do it !

  17. Now that engineers can play everything, what do you like to play ?
  18. I don't understand the limitations on gear and build tabs. Why not have unlimited options? From business perspective, just let me give you more money. From gameplay perspective, does it really effect the game at all ? (I can understand that player's choices must have an impact somehow, but does this really apply here?) My dream is to make my engineer a God, being able to perform everything. everywhere, for this I will need 12 gear/build slots. I have only 8... I know I can make a new character but...well... I don't want to... for RP reasons and for unique emotional connection with this character.
  19. Greetings, Scrapper go with power, there isn't any trait that can favor condition build in this elite specialization or at the hammer weapon. This is my build for when I want to roleplay as a Juggernaut with a flamethrower whilst being tanky (pve and wvw) http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PeQAIlRwCZQsOWKO+LftfA-zRZYBRQCUMKQcHhb4UqVg0rEoCBR0KADPAA-e I enjoy this a lot, not doing crazy amounts of damage, but I can take a hit for sure. Can ignore CC, stack might and bonus damage when flamethrower is on use. Also, here is the ultimate Scrapper build for heal / condition cleanse and general support http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PeQAIlNwcYPMP2Je+TntSA-zRJYjRRfZkUiUdR47AA-e I was loved by people, you can give all boons, heal and cleanse conditions ! Also, I call this: The "refusal to die" Alchemist http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PeQAIlFwqYYMLmKeaTaNLA-zRhYChpFFhYQeGBFWGVUEpnIeMAA-e
  20. Greeting from a fellow engineer. You made the right choice, since engineers can do everything in a unique way! For a leveling build I would go with the following: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PeQAQlFwCZVMLWKOsLvJNA-zRIYRUwDAA-e Explaining: 1. Rocket boots to avoid dangerous scenarios (always handy and life saving) 2. Mortar kit that has amazing range and nice damage cause every attack is an explosion (not to mention combo fields) 3. Elixir U for stun breaks and boons. (superspeed on utility belt) 4. Elixir B for boons (stability to avoid getting CCed at utility belt) 5. Elixir H for heal. Note: since you don't have access to elite specs I putted many elixirs so you can get maximum value from HGH. Alchemy is great to help you learn the mechanics of the game and the engineer in a safe way. Shame that you like mechanist, Scrapper is my main and very fun specialization !
  21. I did this with full Plague Doctor Scourge. It's a beast, it can't be found in any site (metabattle / snowcrows / discretize) but it can play any content in PvE without a slight care of how hard the encounter is.
  22. I play engineer since before it was cool. If cool is the word to describe the greenness that is going on out there in Tyria. Most specifically I adore engineer because gives me the chance to play everything. at PvE: Power dps - Scrapper or Mechanist Condi dps - Mechanist Quickness power dps - Scrapper Alacrity power dps - Mechanist Heal alacrity - Mechanist at WvW Power dps - Scrapper (Juggernaut) Heal support - Scrapper (cleanse boy) I mostly enjoy Scrapper.. but it's nice to have a class that can do everything ! So yeah, how can someone not enjoy this !?!
  23. I am berserker warrior main. Sometimes I play bladesworn for the change but then I go back to angry boy. Seriously I don't get why the fuss is about. Maybe I'm casual enough to just not care about numbers that much and actually enjoy the game ?!
  24. Greetings fellow Guardians. I was trying to make my own, a little different build, only for open world content (farming meta events, wondering around, helping people and groups, doing... stuff and role playing) I wanted to create a Knight of some sort, (or Paladin if you will) and to be somewhat: Tanky / Support - boon sharing / Heal with some damage. I was messing around at the build editor and I came up with the following build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PWABk6d7lRweYYsLmJesS9PdA-zRZYixMG8ZYjRkUtSVpeAA-e The goal was to have power between 1500-2000. Toughness and Vitality above 2000. Around 30% critical chance. Around 50 % boon duration and some healing power. The only boon I don't give to others and myself is Alacrity.. I dismissed the idea of just playing celestial. As I already have Power Willbender / Condi Willbender / Heal Firebrand and Quickness Firebrand. What all of you Guardians think about this build ?
