  1. Look, I'm a normal guy with normal reflexes. How in the ever living [FLAVOR] am I supposed to get 1min or under for the Demon of a Drifter achievement in the raceway? My beetle (rented) decides when it wants to drift, there's times where I release the drift button and it keeps drifting (I have on average 50-60 ping). I've completely taken my hands off my keyboard and mouse and just watched my character drift across the map. I saw a thread back in 2018 where the time-limit was adjusted to 1:30, why was it reverted to 1min? I wouldn't care if it was just some random achievement that gave some ac
  2. THIS! Thank you for bringing this up! I am actually livid over this issue. I've spent more time trying to find a group whose instance I can actually join than doing the fricking Labyrinth. A simple indicator would be perfect so I can save my time and energy 'testing' these groups. I get why the instances exist, but their implementation (and the fact you can even wind up with your party split between instances) is bogus at best. When I join a party, I want to JOIN that party not some ghost instance where I'm 'in the party' but on my own. I'm better off just sticking to being antisocial in that
  3. OK... I guess all the companies paying streamers thousands of dollars per hour to play their game are doing it wrong... Maybe. I'm not a marketing expert. Pretty sure Teapot wasn't being paid $1000's to stream GW2 for Anet, so that comment seems pretty irrelevant. Just gotta ask: if you're not a marketing expert, which pretty much translates to "I don't know much about how marketing works", why are you even commenting on that particular topic then? You were so adamant before............ Wait a minute ... so EVERYONE commenting in this thread IS a marketing expert ... except me? So you can't
  4. "Normal tv" offers a variety of content. At least in my country, this includes scientific news and documentaries etc. It can be a lot more educational than streaming the latest episode of your favorite US tv show, and certainly more educational than watching YouTube streamers' boring content. Um, you do realize YouTube has a plethora of educational content right? All without ads and commercials as well (provided you use AdBlock). TV is vastly inferior, every 15 minutes is 5 minutes of commercials. Sorry, but if I want a Schick Hydro I'll be googling and YouTubing reviews on it long before I bu
  5. I love you xD ty for that, was having a rough day but that was the gut buster I needed <3

  7. "Why watch someone play a game when you can play it yourself?" - Simple: some people prefer television, others prefer content creators. Watching any streamer is also about the STREAMER and their community, not the game itself. It's like watching any sport: why bother when you can do it yourself? Plus, if you're having a burnout it's still an option to support the game and the community as a whole. I've met many amazing people from around the world through stream chats and through streaming, there's far more to it than 'just watching someone play a game'. Gotta open your minds peeps and look at
  8. I noticed on gw2.skills.net's Build Editor that they have a 20s ICD under Rune Of Tormenting's 6th effect, yet everywhere else I look everyone says it has no ICD, even the Wiki doesn't seem to state one. So is this just another classic case of the Build Editor being wrong, or was there a patch and the info hasn't been updated yet? I'd like to use these runes on my Revenant, but if they're no longer as good as they once were I'll just return to Elementalist Runes.
  9. Wow so much toxicity. I'm 50/50 on the subject: GW2 was definitely at its prime a couple of years ago and has definitely declined a little as of late, but at the same time I wouldn't say it's 'dead' or 'dying' per-say. Mostly due to lack of meaningful content, poor balance patches and very, VERY limited build options for a lot of classes (mainly looking at you Revenant and Necro). In other words: a lot of people are probably just taking a break until something worthwhile pops up (cough new expansion cough) to draw them back in. Now, as for the whole 'streamer' bashing that was going on: you al
  10. Lotus Poison was my main reasoning, since Sword applies Weakness and Cripple I figured it'd be better to have Poison and Weakness from Dagger autos, on a faster attack chain. I'm honestly banking on Death's Judgement for that initial kill shot, but I always like to have a solid backup in case something goes hairy. Ranged units, like I said, seem to be my biggest threat hence why I was thinking P/D but I agree with your point about being exceptionally weak against reflects at that point. Kinda wish we had more off-hands to choose from besides the same two. I love Sword, but with Deadly Arts Dag
  11. How reliable is your Quickness uptime? I always thought Quickness Sigil was garbage, whenever I ran it everyone told me to drop it for Might or Air. Scholar I usually prefer on someone that has strong healing to best utilize that set bonus (such as Necro). The second I take a single flick or punch from anything I'm down to almost half health, and regaining that health is usually a chore (without full Malice stacks). Plus, doesn't Fury add to the 'Precision to Ferocity' conversion? Meaning wouldn't I get a burst of Ferocity when gaining Fury through the conversion? (I already get a burst but wo
  12. Action combat != skill. Unless you place skill merely in mechanical aptitude, and I think strategy games as a whole (not just video games) would like a word with you. Chess might have, too. Unless chess requires no skill, in which case I don't know where to start... Fact is, slow-paced MMOs like WoW are far more skill-based than GW2 is at present, entirely because while GW2's combat could be nice for promoting player-skill and not just character-stats as the deciding factor of who wins a fight, the class design is so broken (nevermind the balance of the classes) that nothing of this is ever re
  13. Yeah spamming Mark/Steal is boring to me, I'd much rather utilize my weapons and Utilities but that's just me. I always thought going for the quick, fast, heavy kills was ideal for endgame since, like you said, we're dotted down extremely quickly and hard? Hence why I also hesitate to move my Scholar runes from my Necro to Thief; it seems like I'd only be utilizing the set effect when initializing a fight before losing it to some kind of Condi or ranged damage. Idk I've always just valued stats and synergy a lot more than a single effect. But yeah, stun-break I considered but doesn't Mercy giv
