  1. Your point: Elementalist is hard to play. Congratulations. My point: Elementalist is OP and crying over Revenant, Dragonhunter or Ranger being OP while being an Elementalist player is ridiculous.
  2. I love how elementalist players always bring the downstate meme to serious conversations to try to deny how OP Elementalist is compared to the class they are talking about.
  3. Totally agree with this paragraph, I don't even play Engineer and this specialization seems the most attractive to me, to the point I just made an Engineer and leveled it to 80 with exp tomes. Looking forward to play Mechanist in the future.
  4. Yo, I'm not really a Engi main and I have very little experience playing it, but I do have a lot of experience playing against Engineers, and I really doubt this statement is fair at all. At least not on competitive modes. In WvW Scrapper is god tier and the go-to support alongside guardian. You don't see squads without Scrappers, in fact some commanders experience problems because it isn't a popular class and you can't get as many engis as you often need. As for both PvP and WvW roaming, both flamethrower scrapper and grenade scrapper and Holo are really strong. I will never forget being oneshot by a invisible engineer while also finishing me while invulnerable, leaving me with 0 counterplay.
  5. Time to make an Engineer. I hope you can merge with the golem.
  6. Wtf Editing. Since some people is reacting to my answer, the "wtf" stands for this specialization name. It was hard to make it worse than Willbender, but Arenanet always overcome themselves
  7. Head: Accursed Visage Arms: Sneakthief armor with spikes Chest: Sneakthief armor I suppose
  8. Waiting until Friday to know more as they said very little. I like what I see though, kinda like that we are not receiving a third dps spec.
  9. You can play ranked with as many accounts as you want, just not at the same time.
  10. What am I reading? Thief having more options than Revenant on WvW? 90% of the thieves you see on WvW are D/P and P/D DD and Core, and are limited to stealth and run gameplay. Revenant on zergs can either be herald hammer backline or boon stripper renegade, depending of the situation, and having infinitely more utility than any imaginable thief build. Revenant on roaming can either go assassin herald, core bunker, renegade bunker, condition and even hybrid damage. Everything works. And since you are mentioning Guardian, I don't wanna say Revenant is better, but again I observe very little utility and variety from the Dragonhunters I see when I roam. I will never understand why the people on this subforum insist on Revenant being so bad and with very little use when it's simply not true.
  11. What has that to do with what I'm saying here...
  12. Both points are the same: Trailblazer and Celestial stats are OP in the current situation. Remove/nerf them or add more tools to deal with conditions to fix it. Kinda different from what I used to see a year ago before the last buff, half of the roaming elementalist had hybrid damage, not to mention the celestial revenants with their legend/weapon swap double sigil proc. Not saying Cele is or was better or worse than any other stat selection, but underwhelming? I don't think so, at least not on every class.
  13. Yeah bruh, totally the same having to OVERWHELM by active gameplay and having to stack conditions while playing full defensive. Laughs on condi thief spamming 3 + stealth. Because unlike Marauder, those three stats you just mentioned are OP, Celestial was already strong before the last buff. In the case of Trailblazer you are literally bringing the top defensive stats with the only stats needed to bring condition damage. Marauder brings the same vitality and has no toughness because 99% power builds without the triple power stat is a meme. What a joke of comparation to be honest.
  14. I was starting to think I'm crazy. Kinda surprised how much people deny how broken Celestial is, specially on classes with extreme synergy like Herald or Elementalist. And the same goes for Trailblazer. Thankfully there isn't much people with the low shame to say the opposite.
  15. Yeah because having extra vitality is the same than having both extra vitality + toughness while playing a mechanic consisting of waiting until the enemy die while you mitigate all their damage.
  16. Power damage escalating with base healing power and viceversa.
  17. Reading my message again I notice a mistake: when I said Ele can do more survival, damage and CC than any Revenant build, I meant Renegade, whos damage I don't think is as high as Herald with an assassin build. Every Trailblazer/Cele Ele puts more survival, CC and damage than any Condi Renegade. Every Power Elementalist can put more damage than Renegade, which only has one single big damage skill on shortbow. Even if you went with dual swords you could probably have two bursts of damage and that's all, Elementalist can still put more damage in the long run. Every Elementalist has more CC than any Revenant. I don't think this needs further explanation. Every Elementalist has more survival than any Revenant outside zergs. Permanent Protection, almost permanent Regeneration, more stability sources, Projectile reflection, up to two invulnerabilities, three If counting the downed skill (and one of them being also a stunbreak) and dashes at will (Revenant can mostly dash towards enemies unless you count Staff #5 as a dash. The only exception is the Shiro roll which is undertuned with excessive energy cost). What exactly sounds hyperbolic? I know the Elementalist meta is deep on memes about Ele being weak and low on HP, but that has little importance when you have so many tools for every situations.
  18. I knew it was elementalist. What a joke to come and moan about one class being super tanky (revenant isn't), while also dealing massive damage, while also having big CC when you are an elementalist player and can survive longer, deal more collective damage and deal more CC than any other Revenant build.
  19. I think this idea would be cool for CC skills, not revealing. It doesn't feel right that you can be CC'ed over and over and over with no chances of movement, or being permarooted, or being stunned + knocked down + dazed over and over by a warrior, or being feared for years by a necromancer. Adding like 1s CD resistance to any CC form would be the way on my honest opinion. As for being revealed, I don't think is bad. Of course if you play full stealth is going to hurt but that's your fault. Use other resources, you have them. There is life outside stealth.
  20. Jalis has 1 CC skill. Renegade has 2 CC skills assuming you are using Shortbow/Staff. Is that even relevant considering how much collective CC and burst other classes have while also being tanky AF? What class do you play, btw? Perhaps we could compare Renegade's damage + CC against your class of choice damage + CC. Condi Revenant tank isn't a thing anymore, you are a bit outdated. Blame the Trailblazer and Celestial stats, not Revenant, a class many levels below condi Ele and condi Thief.
  21. I'm just glad Anet doesn't give a kitten about forum balance opinions.
  22. Here is the weekly dose of salt and moaning about thieves while the rest of the classes dominate WvW.
  23. This way is easier to track how much initiative you have left, is weird after some years with the other design but we'll get used to it
  24. LMAO I thought this discussion was about the Bloodlust Sigil! I have no word on this matter then, it often think Bloodlust is an unnecessary mechanic but also not gamebreaking.
