  1. RESOLVED NOW! Account: Nala.9072 (EU) From: Desolation Current Team: Giants Rise Expected Team: Seven Pines WvW guild : : We Dont Run [META]
  2. I am not sure I understood everything you described but I think sth similar happens with this trait in wvw and the 2+2 target cap. If you place a shade on you, you only give barrier to you and 2 others but if you place it elsewhere you give barrier to you +1 near you and 2 on the shade. So sth is fishy with it...
  3. But it shouldn't. The trait says 5 targets and I can see that sometimes barrier goes to more than 2 ppl. It is just never 5.
  4. Has anyone tried Desert Empowerment trait in WvW? Description says number of allied targets 5 but when I use it it seems that it gives barriers to 2 ppl or sometimes 3. Haven't figured out why. Am I missing something again?
  5. In WvW Sand Savant only hits 2 targets. I assume they wanted to turn Scourge into a barrier bot since Desert Empowerment is the only trait that still applies to 5 targets in WvW or they simply forgot about it. Every other Shade related thing only applies to 2 targets. Did anyone really believe this was going to fly? I ll wait to see if anyone will use support Scourges in WvW.
  6. One thing that annnoys me is that multiple shades cannot hit more than 1 target. So even if you manage to land 3 shades under a target, still only one shade will hit them. So while the Sand Savant 2 target cap is useless in wvw, playing multiple shades is only useful when you face a zerg and then you hope that your 2 or 3 landed shades will manage to hit 6 different targets. On the other hand if you have one target ahead of you, small shades are useless, unless someone thinks you can catch a moving target with them. Only chance you have is to wait for him to come close to you, and maybe Sand Savant becomes usefull so that you have a bigger range around you. And all of this to remove 1 boon and do some 1,5k dmg... truly dangerous elite skills! And forget the offensive, even defensively it would be cool if you could drop 2 shades on your feet and have a bigger personal barrier cleansing. It would make the small shades even more interesting to play. In general the whole thing is just a joke. I still enjoy playing scourge in zerg fights and try to hit as many targets as possible with shades but we will all probably reroll to Reapers sooner or later. Boon strip is similar and damage is the highest of all other classes.
  7. A few days after the patch and we can already see that the balancing was successful and we now have more class diversity in squads. Besides Scourges we now see an equal amount of Reapers! I think Necro might now have the most equally balanced specializations. Reaper, Scourge, even core Necro, all alive and well in the wvw scene! So many different ways to play the class and to adapt to different fighting styles that it is making it even more interesting than before. Let us see how this will evolve with new tactics etc! We may end up with only one at the end but for now it s fun!
  8. So, instead of making more classes usefull lets make usefull classes useless! nice logic! lol imgflip.com/i/47uk13 Would you like to read my last sentence again, or are you just selectively reading what you want to hear? I mean... wow. If you want more classes to be useful, you have to give them either unique uses or make them as-viable-as another class with the same "use". You cannot balance the game so that every class is useful if you have one class doing the job of 4 classes. Right now there is: Firebrand - Support - main source of stability, cleansing and healingEle - Tempest - very high amount of cleanse/auras OR damageWeaver - damageHerald - backline damage, also some support with dwarfScrapper - cleanses and stealthSpellbreaker - let's be honest, it's mostly used for the bubble - it otherwise provides some damage, healing and cleansesScourge - we have power damage, condition damage, barriers, condition conversion, boonstrip, boon corruption, and I'm probably still forgetting something Right now, you could have a squad made of just Firebrands and Scourges and it would be fine, because both classes provide too many things. If you want more classes to be viable, start by removing some of the utility from those and spreading them out to other classes, because that is the only way you are going to start seeing some variety. Scourge should have to choose between support or offensive entirely, and not be a jack of all trades regardless of build.Actually I was agreeing with your comment. Every class needs to bring sth but by making one more class useless you are not helping. That was the point. Scourge had a bit of everything and needed to be toned down. But right now scourge cannot really do anything. It cannot be a reliable support and although I dont think anyone was playing like that anyways, still barriers and cleanses were a good side effect that was helping. On the other hand, Reaper or even core Necro have much better dps and same corrupts with much less effort. So you think you got rid of scourges being top DPS? Now probably Reapers will be top DPS and Well bombs are still here and not going anywhere. Personally, I might continue playing scourge just because it is more challenging to try place small shades all around to make some impact and justify your existance but I am generally frustrated on how they butchered the mechanics of a specialization.
  9. So, instead of making more classes usefull lets make usefull classes useless! nice logic! lol imgflip.com/i/47uk13
  10. I realized that when you use Harbinger Shroud and Sand Savant traits, the Harbinger Shroud around the scourge is 180 radius and not 300, and when you don't use Sand Savant this skill is less than 180 radius. Did I miss something?
