Yeah, I think you nailed it. I remember my old email I used for it and the name of the character, everything else is a massive question mark and I reaaaaally hate that serial keys/codes are needed because who the hell would keep track of something like that for 11 years? I would not keep track of a silly old serial code for 11 years, especially when I've moved like 4 times in those 11 years. lol

As much as I'd love to see Tengu and Skritt as playable races, that's not going to happen, Anet already struggles enough as it is to make GW2 a decent game and how much they struggle to model armour decently for non-humanoid races, it's just not likely. (Just look at the Charrs) It's much more likely that new races will be playable in a sequel to this game. There's already hints that they may be making a GW3 and even then, I dunno how likely it is for a new race to be added.

So, when I merged my old Anet account with this one, I was hoping to see my level 60 Necromancer I made back when GW2 was new, but they never popped up and, at the time, I just assumed it would not be possible to get them back... but now I am curious if it is or not. Has anyone else encountered the problem and got it resolved or at least, does anyone know if I can?

I never said I was looking to play as a priest, and I wasn't thinking of the game's professions/specializations as D&D classes. You misread. I meant I was asking for what to play as when it came to more mage-y stuff that does high damage and AoEs. And the reason why I wish there were more classes is because, honestly, I miss GW1's classes that aren't in GW2, such as Ritualist, Dervish, Paragon, Assassin and Monk. I know, technically, three of them are in the game but it's not the same. It would be nice to have at least, 3 of them in the game since Ritualist can fit the light armour section, Dervish can fit the medium armour section and Paragon can fit the heavy armour section.

To be honest, I just do PvE content and greatly prefer to solo because of anxiety. Plus, I am not looking to be support-y, I just want to not struggle in any expansion and not have to rely on other players to progress through story. Chronomancer and Reaper were best for this since they have much higher survivability but since I am burnt out on both, I am not...really sure what to go with. Specter does seem like it would be pretty survivable, but I am unsure if it would be through all three expansions, same for Daredevil (since I have experience with Daredevil and would most likely go with that if I stick with Thief for EoD, until EoD is out) I am aware Renegade is pretty good, same for Herald. Dragonhunter felt fine and Firebrand I am not 100% sure on since I wasn't sure if I'd like it. Druid can't do anything for damage but is pretty tanky due to being a full-healer, Soulbeast is pretty alright, but doesn't fit me. You get the gist, I have tried pretty much everything (but Warrior) but nothing really strikes me as fitting for me to play.

So, with EoD inching closer and closer to release, I hate that I still haven't figured out a class to stick with and it makes it more difficult with how...underwhelming all of EoD's specs seem to be. I, honestly, wish the mages were given much better e-specs from EoD since I have a high preference towards mages and it would make it a ton easier for me to figure out what I want to go for. Which, it's not just EoD's specs, but just the previous expansions' specs as well, Chronomancer and Scourge/Reaper were the only three that I've played a lot of for the mages, didn't like Mirage and Tempest, while Weaver just seems way too much for such low reward so is why I was hoping EoD will bring something fun and new to the classes I prefer to play. (honestly, just makes me wish there were more classes to choose from, three for each archetype, minus Priest, is a bit too small) Sorry if I worded things weirdly, I am just tired. lol

I feel like, what needs to be done, is to completely rework Elementalist because, like you, I really wanted to enjoy and play Elementalist but it's such a MASSIVE PAIN to play that I just cannot do it, you have to do like 50x the work than other classes just to be relevant at all and it annoys me so kitten much. It's really a shame because I want to play Elementalist since it's the closest thing I got to a traditional mage. I actually swapped to Thief because well.. Specter seems really fun and I want to try it when EoD's out and I do like Necro but Harbinger just seems like one of the biggest disappointments for a specialization I have seen for EoD. Just feels like a wannabe Engineer.
-
And, honestly, I do hope it'll be even better once EoD's out, It is a shame for the other ones I wanted to try, though. Specter and Virtuoso seemed like the only two I actually had fun with, moreso Specter than Virtuoso. I hope I am not the only one that felt this way. Also, personally, I kinda wish they went with the name "Sorcerer" or "Warlock" instead of Specter, but it's whatever. :u

Well, yeah, but it's not truly monk. Plus, having it as it's own class would be nice so you don't have to work up to level 80 to experience it at all. It being tossed into, basically, nothing more than an advancement for a class that is basically Paladin feels a bit wrong. Just would be nice to have it as it's own thing instead of being lumped into an already existing class. Is just how I feel about it, does kinda suck that a lot of older classes in MMOs seem to either get forgotten about entirely or just barely exist inside another class like Bard, Druid and Monk. (all of which happen to be my favourite classes)

I know Monk in GW1 was mostly Healer-focused, but it doesn't have to be exactly like that at all considering how every class is nothing like their GW1 counterparts to begin with. It could be more similar to D&D's Monk or even Everquest's Monk where it's much more DPS focused. Sadly, I don't think they'd want to add a new weapon type for Monk since Monk, in most games it's in, uses knuckles or...their own hands as a weapon, but they are often depicted with Bo Staves and, rarely, daggers and wands. I know it's asking a lot since they'd need to not only add in Monk as a base class, but also add in 3 elite specializations for it but Monk, I'd love to see as a playable class in GW2 someday, if not, maybe, hopefully, in GW3...if that becomes a thing. (Also, Tengus would be nice to have as a playable race, but, at this point, I dunno if it will happen)
