Actually, Xbox updated their achievements so that by getting them you also earn reward points that can be spent on anything microsoft sells and also includes merchandise outside of them as in, Starbucks, Gift cards, etc.Reason being was that players were having the same gaming remorse as here. I have a 100k+ Xbox gamer score and before the changes I use to say, "Whats the point?".The ap rewards in Gw2 is lackluster to say the least. Ive owned the game since day one, and honestly only have 3900 pts. No incentive. I could care less about the rewards since they truly are garbage. Biggest I see on my available ap chests is 15g. I can run bitterfrost collecting map currency in 1 day, salvage the 7 stacks of unidentified gear I get from it and make over 60 gold off mats. The reward system for anet has always been garbage though. This was glaringly obvious when my group scraped and scrambled to max our monuments only to realize after getting gwam...we got some very very bad rewards in gw2.I was never into fashion wars. I would've been happy with some quality of life items. Exclusive items only gw1 players could have. Nothing big, but nice. Instead I got skins I'll never use and some of those skins are even now handed out in game to players who never logged into gw1.
